While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Deeply Unfair and Inconsistent Moderation

I had a deeply unfair experience with HoYoLAB’s content moderation. On 25 November 2025, I posted the official selling prices of Huawei Mate80 and Mate X7 – no links, no ads, just plain text. My post was deleted within hours and my account was muted for 7 days under the false reason “advertising or phishing”. Yet, a post by another user (Rose1110) containing clear promotional language, prices, and even what looks like e-commerce links (posted on 20 March 2026) has remained publicly accessible for over one month. This is direct proof of selective enforcement.

Worse, the platform censors neutral Chinese phrases like “People’s Republic of China” (blocked as “人民*”) while allowing English insults like “jerks” to stay alive for more than 27 days. In addition, a normal interactive comment from another user was shadow‑banned, while a comment calling me “get lost” and “lapdog” (posted on 27 April 2026) was left visible for over 72 hours and even received a like.

HoYoLAB’s moderation is not only inconsistent but also discriminates against Chinese content while tolerating clear verbal abuse in English. I strongly advise potential users to be aware of this systematic unfairness before trusting the platform.

I got permanently muted on hoyolabs for…

I got permanently muted on hoyolabs for literally telling someone in the community(who made a racist post claiming that all people who live in desert areas and such aren't white and should be black/brown) that no, as i someone who lives in the desert irl myself and all my friends and relatives etc are white and just get tanner over time due to sun exposure.

Oh, and the OP of the post never got punished and just their post taken down and they won't even let me appeal or discuss the issue further. GREAT COMMUNITY AND STAFF!
