DO NOT EVER PURCHASE AN HP PRODUCT OR RELY ON THEIR SUPPORT SERVICE!!

CUTTING A VERY LONG STORY SHORT:

I recently had an issue with my HP printer. I went online to troubleshoot to no avail. I received a call from HP support to sort the issue.

The chap at the end of the phone said he would need to log into my laptop to sort out the problem. He took control of my laptop and then asked me to decide what payment I would like to make – the choices being 1-year support or 2-year support.

When I told him I did not want to sign up for anything but just wanted my printer sorted, he told me my laptop would no longer work without paying for help. When I told him I was not paying for anything the line went dead. My laptop then crashed and since will not restart.

I contacted HP again who promised to investigate and sort the situation. Three days later and I am still waiting!! They are failing to provide their official complaints procedure and as far as I can see, are running a blackmail procedure.

HP is a nightmare

HP is a nightmare. Got the 4155e version, had wifi connection problems for an entire day. Wasted an ENTIRE day setting up a STUPID PRINTER. Then took me an hour to get a customer rep agent, installed remote viewing software on my mac, literally permanently deleted my wallpaper LOL. Then rep disconnected from me LOL. Literally took the product back to the store and brought a new brand because of my anger of what HP made me deal with for a piece of crap printer and realizing it would be FASTER to return the printer, buy a new one, and install that than deal with their support. Never buying this brand again.

I’ve bought a HP laptop in February…

I’ve bought a HP laptop in February 2020, but after 3 months hinges started getting loose. I contacted HP costumer support, but they said to me that it can’t be covered by Warranty/ Garanty, and I must pay, if I want to get it repaired. They said that I have damaged or misused my laptop!!!
That isn’t correct. The hinges got loose and opened in both sides, and it happened gradually and not suddenly. I mean that hinges got loose because of bad quality and it wasn’t my fault. Therefore l expectEd to be able to get it repaired for free.
I have read som other comments/ reviews about Hp , written by other costumers, and it seems that “problem with hinge” is a common problem for HP laptops based on the reviews. I’ m really disappointed and feel my cheated by HP. I can never trust Hp anymore, and don’t recommend HP. In my opinion HP don’t take responsibility about their product and based on my experience they accuse costumers of MISUSE of the product.
I experienced HP unresponsive and unreliable.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND HP.

HP stream broke in less than 24hrs

We picked up a HP Stream Friday 12th June for my daughter to do homework on. By Saturday 13th June it had stopped working.
The caps lock button does 5 flashes followed by 3 flashes but the screen stays blank. If you google the fault it’s basically finished.

Hopefully I’ll get a refund But I’ll pick a different product. Do some research I didn’t.

Unreliable printer

Urelianble printers. I only printed black but blue was the first to run out. The head clogged so it went to the garbage can. Hard and expensive to get spares or cleaning solution.

Not that impressed with an Hp stream…

Not that impressed with an Hp stream 32Gb laptop I bought for my Pensioner parents. It comes with Windows 10, however after only 3 months and with zero photos or files on the laptop Only 4GB of memory was free. Windows then needed a critical update which needed another 8 Gb. These machines are not fit for purpose. Windows 10 is too large for the 32Gb hard drive.

Hp customer services were helpful sending an e mail stating it was faulted which allowed me to return it to argos for a full refund.
(The two stars are for customer services, I would score the laptop Zero)

However I would not recommend these 32Gb stream laptops. They do NOT work with Windows 10.
Unless you are a computer expert and know how to remove old windows files after updates best avoid this model.

HP makes junk

HP Pavilion lasted 13 months and half the screen went white. Never abused, never dropped, always in the A/C at my desk. HP makes junk. this was not a cheaply priced computer. CRAPPY WARRANTY, CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE, CRAPPY PRODUCT ! NOT SURE HOW HP HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS SO LONG. THOUSANDS OF BAD REVIEWS OUT THERE. THIS WAS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT FROM MY WIFE SO I DID NOT RESEARCH THIS HP PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE OR KNOW SHE WAS GETTING A HP. HAD I SEEN ALL THE BAD REVIEWS I WOULD NOT OF LET HER PURCHASE IT.

Super service

I had a problem with my HP Office Jet pro 8610 when changing the ink cartridges. The cartridge holder was locked and couldn't move. Tried all the tips and tricks on the internet - nothing helped. Finally I called HP Service centre, Denmark, Monday afternoon, and today Wednesday afternoon I got a replacement Officejet pro 8610.
Super service, couldn't be done any better!

Do not buy HP printers

I bought a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 printer some years ago.
It was pricy, but it had won in a survey of printers a key feature being that it was highly economical.

This was a lie.

Despite usually only using black ink and not using colors at all the past 2 months it is suddenly displaying all 3 color cartridges as empty at the same time.

This includes the yellow cartridge that I already replaced once.
They are of course very expensive to replace.

The display is also broken due to a software error - many people online have this issue too.

I am absolutely sure that they programmed it to waste ink somehow over time even if used rarely. If you google "planned obsolescence" you will understand why.

Bad products and bad service!

Would discourage anyone from buying an HP spectre computer - this is a flawed product (defective wifi card) and they seem incapable of fixing it - had my computer taken away 3 times already for repair without fixing it, all within one year of buying it, and HP refuses to replace the computer with a new one or buy it back from me. Poor product, poor customer service and poor repair processes - thumbs down!

Untrustworthy and bad customer service

Bought a laptop based on specifications on the website. However received product did not match the specifications for the graphics card on the website. Customer service refused to do anything about it pointing to a fine print on the website stating that they are not responsible for misinformation on their website. This is pure deceiving; its fine that there is misinformation, the point is to correct it and find a solution with the customer. Very untrustworthy and will never buy HP again.
