I saw the poor reviews after I had placed my order and got a bit worried. I ordered two pairs of slippers and a pair of boots.

The boots seem very nice, clearly leather and rubber and marked as made in Portugal. So not plastic made in China as suggested by other reviews.

The slippers both seemed to be good quality but one pair was too big and the others didn't suit me. The returns process was easy with free shipping (no need to print anything) and I received a full refund after about 10 days.

My experience was so totally different from the majority here I wonder if we are revieing the same store.

First time customer. Thought I would give the company a try and very very disappointed. I ordered the shoe on February 02/26 and today is 3/10/26 and I still havent received the shoe. It is almost 1 month.
The star is for the fact that customer service actually responded. However they could not give me any additional info, "intransit to warehouse' thats it. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

I want to share my experience in case it helps someone avoid the same mistake.

I originally thought I was ordering from the legitimate Hudson Shoe Company, but the company I actually purchased from was Hudson Hills. The advertising made it easy to confuse the two.

I ordered two pairs of the Hudson Hills “Robert Johnson” shoes (black and brown). It took almost a month for them to arrive. When the package finally showed up, the shoes were not in a box. They were stuffed into thin plastic bags and wrapped in more plastic.

When I opened them, they had a very strong chemical smell, similar to formaldehyde. The materials feel extremely cheap and they are clearly not leather as advertised. The sizing is also wrong, and the insoles are unusually thick—around three inches, almost like they’re designed to add height.

The biggest red flag is that there are no labels anywhere in the shoes. There is no Robert Johnson branding, no size tag, no manufacturer label, and not even a “Made in” tag. Legitimate footwear companies normally include this information.

I contacted Hudson Hills the same day asking for return instructions. Instead of providing an RMA, they offered me a 30% discount to keep the shoes. After multiple emails insisting on a refund, they eventually sent a return address in the UK, even though the package clearly shipped from Las Vegas.

When I checked shipping costs, returning the shoes to the UK would have cost over $200, which is far more than the shoes themselves.

Because of this, I ultimately filed a chargeback with my bank.

I also first encountered these Hudson Hills Robert Johnson shoe ads on Instagram, which is likely how many people are finding this product.

If you are considering buying Hudson Hills Robert Johnson shoes, I strongly recommend doing some research before purchasing.

Shoes not arrived after 8 weeks e-mailed over half a dozen times for a refund . Replied to first email but now ignoring me.Do not ordering unless you can afford to lose £60

lol, shoes took a month and a half to arrive (in bubble wrap, literally, no box) and are like wearing 2" women's high heels. So bad. Feel like they'll last a week so I'll wear them for a week then throw them away.

After many weeks of waiting they refuse to refund my order. They tell me “be patient”. And that I will have to pay return shipping myself and show proof of purchase. They are basically operating in a fraudulent manner. Stay away. With I would have read the reviews first!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I purchased the Robert Johnson Leather Sneakers. They have a weird elevated heel insole that simulated walking on women's high heel shoes. This "feature" was not advertised and they are unwearable. I asked to take advantage of the "free returns", only to find out I had to pay for shipping to the UK. What followed was a series of email exchanges where they began by offering me a 35% refund to keep the shoes. I wanted 100% or a shipping label. With each exchange they upped their offer by 5%, and I ultimately landed on a 50% refund because I got tired of dealing with them, which I'm sure is their model. So, if I can dissuade at least one person from buying anything from this company, or at least encourage enough people to not accept their initial refund offer, I will have at least cost them more money than they would have lost by just giving me my refund. Unbelievably bad product and shady customer service.

This company is a scam. They claim 24/7 support. That is not true. The phone goes to "Boston Hills" and does not provide phone support. Nor do they respond to emails.
Secondly, their product quality is to as advertised. Want to return the products but cannot contact them as per their instructions.

I got shoes Robert Johnson Leather Sneakers from Hudson hills they not made as advertised??( leather shoes) it is made from cheap materials. Poor quality eve doesn't says on shoes who make them. Scam

Unfortunately, I cannot give zero reviews..this company is a scam..the boots look nothing like the adverts...I don't think they could have looked any cheaper or more naff.
Plastic everywhere..no sign of any leather, whatsoever...I put them straight in the bin. The returns process isn't easy and just costs you more money...the adverts are brilliant, it's a pity they bear no relation to the actual boots....
This company is a scam and should be shut down. Please do not get caught, use my experience as a warning....DO NOT BUY..

Took forever get. Cheap looking imitation leather. Well stitched souls and heels look good. What do you want for 90 bucks right?

This company is almost a scam.
Product is a rag, far from what they describe.
Far from HandCrafting, it is cheaply done in China or india.
Refund is different of what they show in the web, they play with you by requesting to be shipped back to China on you account in order to be eligible for 30% refund only.
Once you buy it and for any reason you want to return it, you are nailed!

Shipped from China, so I had fears they would be crap. I was correct, wrong size, not leather or any leather by-product. The only way to contact them is through email.

Wary bad experience, bay dresse waiting 2 months, still nothing. I ask about refund, nothing writing conect with delivery!!! Not recommended now one. Scamp

Horrible quality! This brand used to be high quality leather shoes. The pair I recently purchased is all synthetic plastic materials with a $200+ price tag!!!
I contacted the company about returning them and getting a refund and they refused.
Very misleading advertising.

Save your money, these are not worth it!

This is my 3rd pair of boots from Hudson. The 2nd and 3rd pair were both Christmas presents and have had to be replaced. The pair I got in 2021 started staining my heels black. The pair I just received 2022 has a faulty insole and they're unwearable.

I loved my first pair so much that I trusted they were quality boots. I'm rethinking this now. My replacement 2021 now leak when it's raining but I can't fault the customer service they sent me a new pair when I showed pictures of my stained skin. My newest pair however, needs to be returned. This process has been very difficult and I can't find someone to actually talk to for help. So so disappointed.
