Glitchy

Every time I try to rewind, it keeps immediately jumping back forward, which keeps me from properly watching a show if I go back 10 seconds it’ll play two seconds and then jump back to 10 seconds and I just went back which puts me ahead of where I was even if I exit the app come back it does the same thing.

The worst application available

The worst application available. Every single day this atrocious application doesnt work. It will never open correctly. Over half of the shows or channels do not even open. My recommendation is move to YouTube TV. This is awful

Hulu won’t let you watch football

All the other streaming apps, Peacock, Paramount, except Hulu let you watch the playoff games when you pay for a subscription. Cheap Hulu wants you to pay for their live TV. They are very cheap and what they provide is lousy compared to other streaming platforms.

Look at these low ratings

I like the content but they play too many ads FAR FAR more than any other streaming services. I'm not interested in paying more so will likely just drop my subscription.

Please Rewind!! Do Better !

Hulu is one of the more expensive apps to have. And I believe since the very beginning it has been having this same issue. You cannot go back and look at something that you missed without it jumping around and skipping back to where it stopped. It is so frustrating. You would think they'd have it fixed. Cuz I know it's been going on at least a couple years.

Hulu has great content which I enjoy

Hulu has great content which I enjoy. However, the platform itself is torture with constant buffering, getting dropped repeatedly, and the ads almost every five minutes.Hulu would not be worth it even if it were free.

Misleading ad

Clicked on one month free promo, got charged from day one. Contacted CS, was told only for basic plan, but the promo was literally displayed in the basic plus Disney package I chose. Very confusing.

Paying for a non-existent account

Before Disney bought out Hulu we had a Hulu account. Right after Disney acquired Hulu we canceled Hulu and got the Disney/Hulu/Espn service for college football season. We cancel that service last month. I just noticed that on 1/2/26 $13.79 was charged to our bank account from Hulu. I looked back and it had been going on for months, even though we had the combined account with Disney and had canceled plain Hulu. Hulu customer service claimed we had no active account and we cannot log into any accounts without the screen showing up that describes the different accounts we can purchase-again meaning we have no active account. It’s not under a different email, it’s a screw up on Hulu’s part that they can’t fix. Finally I had to have my bank make it so Hulu cannot draft any transactions against our account.
I wasted HOURS dealing with this. They had enough info to bill me every month, but couldn’t cancel my payments on an account they said didn’t exist.

Worst streaming service

Worst streaming service, someone should buy the content. Aside from Disney kicking off Jimmy Kimmel. I canceled the membership due to customer service and technical issues and they continued to charge me triple what I was paying every month until I caught it.

Worst Live TV experience, ever!!

This review is for the live TV option. The on-demand service may be better, but I got HULU for the live TV. I’ve had cable (20 yrs), satellite (DISH, 23 yrs), YouTube TV and Friendly TV (2 yrs), so I know a little bit about using different services to watch TV channels. HULU is absolutely the worst, by far, of any streaming Live TV service I’ve used. I used it two months, and it was all I could take. There are too many problems to mention them all here but here are a few. First, the app is the worst app. It is sluggish, sometimes taking up to 10 seconds to open to home page. It does not handle WiFi very well, as most of the time when you change channels, it is slightly out of focus for about 10 seconds and then it pixelates for a couple of seconds, before obtaining the full signal. Finally, the app crashes a lot, sending you back to your devices home page. The guide has limited customization. It carries all the local channels of a network in your area, so if there are 3 local ABC stations in your area, it puts all 3 in the guide so you have to keep all or none. This clutters up your “Favorites” guide when you choose your channels. Also, the guide does not default to your “Favorites” guide, but to the last 10 recent channels. What’s the use of having a Favorites guide if you have to keep choosing it?! Some cloud DVR recordings will not stay removed after you delete them, even after 2 or 3 times. And maybe the most aggravating issue is you can’t fast-forward through some commercials when you pause live TV. To do that, you have to pay another $10. I’ve never had any service do that, not even YTTV or Friendly TV. I disliked YTTV, mostly because of their cheap, crappy commercials they substitute for network commercials and promotions. Also, the guide and DVR of YTTV have problems. But, HULU is a far worse service

The live guide seems to be an after-thought just so they can say they have that option. But clearly, they do not see it as a priority. So, I do not recommend their Live TV service whatsoever. They do offer most channels but what good is that if you can’t enjoy the viewing experience because of the many problems associated with the app and the service?!
