Humana Drug card has a scam number
Humana Drug card has a scam number. They hit your credit card for things you do not want to buy even though you say no. They get your credit card by telling you they will send a $100 gift card if you pay a $2.99 shipping fee. Once they have it, they toggle you through recordings. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER ON THE CARD TO LET THEM KNOW YOU RECEIVED IT.

Being a Senior to navigate ANY insurance is beyond comprehension.
But Humana….. the absolute worst. They hook you in with all these promises that are blatantly ignored once you sign up.
Co-pays are astronomical, they refuse to contract with certain hospitals, and blow your phone up almost DAILY!!!
They want you to talk with their Doctors over the phone about your medications. I trust my own Doctor not some paid for by, or given trips to push their drug companies. Here’s a thought, stop all these useless actions and lower premiums.
If we could just make health companies like Humana be HONEST. I know dream on….

Humana has always paid all my doctor bills without any hassle whatsoever. They pay my 25.00 pcp copay every time and all prescriptions without any questions.
They pay all lab work and any specialists I have to see.
They are also the only insurance company that I can buy my dog his food , treats and any other pet supplies I need On My Food Benifits Card.
That is absolutely awesome because pets are very important also.

Raquel is the best!
I don't usually leave reviews for customer service reps but have to after my dad was so well taken care of by Humana's Raquel Cherches. She was very patient and helpful and spent a lot of time with him until he was absolutely satisfied. She answered every question and went above and beyond any health insurance representative he's ever spoken to. She is the reason why he is switching to Humana Medicare, and I wouldn't be surprised if other people walk away from talking to her feeling so much better about their healthcare options and choices. This company is a joke
This company is a joke. They will give you the run around with false information till you give up. Almost all theirs reps are all Offshore and getting someone in the US was denied 3 times before I was able to get someone. Then someone told me I was denied for my medication but the generic was approved. Problem is- their is not a generic for my medication. When I did talk to a supervisor in the US, I got no help and promised another call back within 24 hours which never happened. I have found out I can switch company's in the first quarter so I'm researching alternatives now.
Save your time and agitation, do not even try this company.
Home Health Aide
I had to call Humana because my husband was released from a nursing home and I needed help. I also called prior to that call to make sure I knew what my husband's coverage was while in the nursing home. I talked to Cornell first and he was very helpful letting me know what the benefits during his stay in the nursing home were. After that I talked to Lynn, Virginia, and Nanette. They were also very helpful. They tried to find out why I didn't have a nurse or a physical therapist after my husband was released from the nursing home. I called several times and each one tried to contact the agency, which was Ohio Living. I wasn't able to get in contact with them, so the last 3 customer service representatives called the company, without being able to get in contact with anyone at the company, so they left messages. Cornell, Lynn, Virginia, and Nanette were very professional and helpful. Also, I was surprised that someone answered right away before talking to any of the representatives.

Honestly, some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I am still on hold over 2 hours with no one helping idk what to do at this point
Humana Stinks
My husband and I have been Humana customers for several years. In 2025, we were notified that Humana would no longer service our providers. In December 2025, after my husband had been in the hospital since October 30 with severe necrotizing pancreatitis, Humana was sorry enough to deny him access to a Critical Care Hospital after he was released from the hospital he was in. They expect him to go to a regular rehab even though he can't feed himself, keep food down, needs dialysis, and can't walk. He also has a drainage tube in his pancreas. If he goes to the rehab, he will most likely be back in the hospital within a week. I am livid that he is being treated this way. Humana used to be a decent company. Now they don't give a damn about their insureds. It's all about money. I hope their company goes bankrupt. The sooner the better.
Incompetent people …
When trying to find out if my upcoming procedure was approved, I had a representative lie directly to me. She told me she couldn’t help me at the time but would follow up after lunch. That was 2 days ago and still waiting. Piss poor management in customer service.

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service from this company. On hold 15 minutes, then routed to wrong department where rep wastes 10 minutes more of my time before telling me he can't help, then another 5 minutes on hold before being transferred to another department where I am again put on hold for another long wait and told that they need to research the issue and will need to call me back. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL!! SPENT 40 MINUTES ON THE PHONE FOR NOTHING!! TOTALLY WORTHLESS COMPANY!!

No wonder Humana customer service reputation is going down for various reasons.It has not yet been able to provide 2026 members handbook as well as complete drug list printed copies to its dual eligible members.Humana has changed the plan name to D-SNP with some noticeable changes in benefits as well as drug coverage.The mentioned books are needed to study the 2026 changes.Talking to their Customer service reps and their supervisors not only wastes time but also remains unfruitful.Even their Grievance department does not help perhaps because Humana has not completed printing of the mentioned books so far.Incidentally, the enrollment period is ending in two weeks, with no signs of receiving 2026 Members Handbook and Complete Drug list from Humana.
Frustrating Experience – Ended Up Canceling My Policy
I wanted to upgrade my dental insurance and update my address, but Humana's website wouldn't let me do either. It's clunky and outdated.
I called customer service and was on hold for 30 minutes. Once I got through, the representative placed me on hold four more times — even for something as simple as updating my address, which took over 5 minutes.
In the end, I was so frustrated with the poor service that instead of upgrading my plan, I canceled it altogether. This company needs a serious overhaul in both tech and customer support.

absolute worst service! my 88 year old moms personal dedicated case manager would not return our calls today or our texts regarding an emergency wound she has! said she is seeing other clients and can return out call in 24 business hours. she told us to call humana directly, who could not help us, they said we should talk to our case worker, but she won't talk to us. They nurse that they sent ten days ago said she was going to send a wound care person, but she lied to us and never did. Also humana had no record of who was here and no record of her asking for a wound care person. They also gave us another company to call as a humana client, this company had no record of my mom and no information for us, and actually just disconnected us. I spent hours on the phone with Humana and never got anywhere. after all day they said to just call her PHP, who was great and is seeing us tomorrow. Buyt Humanan was useless, they just bounced us all over the place, and everyone denied that it was their job and passed us on to someone else.
22 minutes to change mailing address at their customer service telephone number. Pathetic.
I needed to change my mailing address. Was not able to do it online so I had to call their customer service number. Took over 22 minutes to simply change the mailing address. They had trouble with a computer, a person on the phone had to ask me four times what the mailing address was and what the residential address was even though the residential address is on my account profile. Still don’t know if she got it right.

I can't believe you and connected to Centerwell. I just started with them and for three days I have been on live chat on the phone I actually had a supervisor in the pharmacy tell me that she was making the decision to mail my medication. What my doctor makes those decisions her name was Hanna because she didn't want to hear me. Get some soft skill training
I don't trust the company. Pls. stay away.
1. Went online to look for a humana part d plan. Found one that I'll likely never use and Enroll(ed). The price on the website vs the Enroll price were different. Is humana really trying to deceive people?
I reported it with proof to the chat rep. The rep had to escalate the issue to his manager then said it had to be investigated. I was getting off the computer and his response was something like, "... everyone knows my name so they'll be able to connect to me." That wasn't true when I went back in the next day. So ...
2. I opted to call. I asked that rep why the discrepancy (with proof) and he said he didn't see it on his end (that's possible but I don't know if it's true). He "assured me" it was just an error on my end (in other words, one of many possible customers would also see the error but since it was just a little amount they wouldn't necessarily care). My view was it's an error and if it's not fixed, what else is wrong with their system and why the errors?
3. I found out today. I encountered yet another error in a link the autochat sent to possibly resolve my issue (it didn't). So, as a potential customer, that's equal to 2 errors on the humana website. It was enough to make me nervous about paying even a small amount to this company because odds are good something else would occur and I'd be burned.
4. I decided to check Trust Pilot and reviewers pretty much saw what I experienced. While on the phone, the rep tried to sell me a MC Advantage plan. I told him I had been cautioned by a sales rep NOT to buy it. Humana rep said it changed a lot since I was heard about it. That may be true but I periodically confirmed it remained just as bad as I had been warned. It felt like humana made the reps do an upsell for a bad product.
I have two weeks to see if the cost I'm charged = cost I saw and I could cancel if there's an issue (that's what the rep said). The problem is, thanks to reviewers here, it sounds like canceling it will be a hassle. Users here also talked about the push to upsell (get more than originally desired so humana can make more $$).
I will update this when I get the plan if the Enroll plan is more expensive than that listed on the website. That would mean they're taking advantage of consumers knowingly.
This is a warning to consumers to expect problems with humana.
Next time I want to buy something questionable, I hope to remember to review the company here first.
Difficult to quit Humana
Had to waste 30 minutes on the phone trying to quit Humana. The agent kept urging me to me to try ‘other options’. I finally had to hang up on her.
Medical is good but Vision plan pays nothing
I have Medicare Advantage plan with Humana. The max out of pocket expense is high but I seldom even get close to the max. The deductibles and co-pays are very reasonable. The only issue I have is with the Humana Vision Plan. It is not really a Vision Plan when it comes to eyewear. You only have a limited number of places in network and then when you get glasses and apply insurance, they jack up the price and double the price of eyewear. Eye glasses with Humana plan will cost you more with insurance than buying through another company and paying cash.
The Humana Vision plans does not actually cover any cost of your eyewear. All the plan does is allow the merchant to jack up the price and then apply a discount--the $400 in benefits is not what insurance pays, it is a discount that places like glasses.com apply after inflating the price. I prices a pair of budget frames with progressive lens, transition lens, standard lens. The price without applying insurance was $269.40. I then clicked the apply insurance benefits and the cost was $505 and $105 was my cost. I priced a better frame with progressives, premium thin lens, transition, scratch resistant, anti-glare lens, smudge resistance for $160 at another online merchant.

Was having a hard time finding a doctor…
Was having a hard time finding a doctor that accepts Humana . I chatted with Humana and they Referred me to a doctor . Now they are denying all my claims until they get a referral , when THEY Referred me . I didn't realize Advantage Plans replace Medicare totally . I had to cancel a colonoscopy until I can replace Humana with a Reputable Insurer that honors their commitments , not hide behind a technicality so they don't have to pay anything . They're putting their GREED ahead of customers suffering . Hopefully they start doing the job they are being PAID for or go out of business . Meanwhile I have to suffer another 3 months until I can get a new Insurer and the treatment I Need . Glad it's something that can be postponed and not something major or life threatening . Their GREED is threatening people's lives .
