I feel obliged to review my experience with Humberts following a telephone call this morning. I'm so disappointed in the lack of compassion and interest they showed. Their advice is to look at properties below my budget and expect to overpay. He showed no interest in our willingness to make an offer but to instead clearly wanted to gouge for the maximum amount possible. It's a difficult market, but this absolutely callous lack of interest in buyers will burn Estate Agents when the market turns around. We will remember.

Martin and his team were recommended by friends who had recently completed their house sale through Humberts. Being in St Ives we had our fair choice of agents but Martin and his team proved to be outstanding from the start. Incredibly confident, and reassuring in what was a tricky and fast moving market they were always on top of their game whilst remaining professional and friendly throughout the process. Shout out to Kelly & James too for their help in the process.

We have just completed our sale and Caroline and her team were so professional throughout what became a convoluted sale! One of the more ‘ traditional’ agents Stags in Taunton gave us valuation of 425k, presumably to get a quick sale commission. Caroline and us agreed 500k , which through her hard work, excellent communication skills and personality she achieved for us! ( reduced to 495 post survey, not down to Humberts!) We cannot recommend her highly enough- she was so popular in our small village she sold 3 houses within a couple of weeks

We used Caroline Ardley at Taunton Humberts for the sale of a Grade two listed property of significant value.
From the first moment of meeting her to the conclusion of the sale, she could not have been bettered for her enthusiasm, professionalism and commitment. All of us involved in the sale couldnt be happier with her and her hard work to bring the sale to a conclusion.
On top of the professionalism has been her friendly disposition so that it has been a pleasure to deal with her.

I was on Humberts mailing list - looking to buy a UK property. In February 2019 they sent out a mass mailing to nearly 500 people with all the email addresses on display, including mine. In their apology - send within the hour - they did it again! They say they have proper safeguards in place, that their staff can't ignore them and that this was "human error". To minimise the risk to me and my business I have changed my email address and notified my various contacts - friends, family, business associates and service providers, etc. This cost me a day of my time for which I have billed Humberts £200, less than half my usual rate. They refuse to pay. They have trivialised the problem - the increased risk to my data and that of my clients. Humberts say I should take my complaint up with the ICO. The ICO, of course, require organisations to deal with the problems they have caused and not use ICO routinely as a second stage resolution service. Humberts have broken the law. A mistake is one thing - how a company deals with it tells you all you need to know about them. Don't use Humberts if you value your privacy.

I question the professionalism of this company. 2 weeks ago, arranged to see a property in Spain via their Purto Banus office. Contacted office before I left the UK to ensure property was still available. Took me on a tour of 6 other properties before I asked about the one I really came to see. I was informed it was sold and a deposit had been paid. 2 weeks later, it is still on their website and Rightmove. i am not allowed to post the link to prove my case. Make your own conclusion
