Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 28 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people encountered significant difficulties with payments, including issues with unauthorized transactions or missing funds, high transaction fees, and problems receiving their money, with some waiting weeks or even months. Customers also frequently reported a lack of effective customer service, finding it nearly impossible to get in touch with support or resolve their issues. Some people were dissatisfied with the verification process, describing it as slow and repetitive, leading to accounts being rejected multiple times. Additionally, some customers mentioned that the only contact method available was a phone number, which they found outdated and inconvenient for a modern company.

Horrible support

Called support, waited 45 mins to resolve an issue regarding the hyperwallet account activation. Told the support my email-address and then I was hung up on. No help at all, 45 minutes wasted, called again just to be put into another waiting list. Horrible support.

Hyperwallet Valvoline Rebate

I recently received a hyperwallet debit card in the mail. No notation as to what it was for, or what the balance was. I called hyperwallet to find out it was from Valvoline with zero balance. When I got into my Valvoline account, the transactions listed 2 and 3 dollars fees adding up to $20 which was the full amount of the original rebate. I don't know why Hyperwallet would send out a card with zero balance.

Extremely Stupid, Deficient and Ludicrous System

Extremely stupid system. They deserve a negative star rating. Both Agoda.com and Hyperwallet are deficient. Hyperwallet, specifically, is the dumbest system I have ever used. Agoda.com uses this system to process compensations for bookings they mess up. First off, to enter your bank account, Hyperwallet gives you a choice of ONLY 10 countries - American Samoa, Bahrain, Egypt, Northern Mariana Islands, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, US Virgin Islands, United Arab Emirates and United States. Seriously?! They can only transfer funds to 10 countries?! So ridiculous! Luckily, I have a USA based account I can use, but that didn’t work. I have tried entering a Bank of America account 4 times (4 different Hyperwallet links sent) and Hyperwallet/Agoda claims the account is non-existent DESPITE Agoda asking me for a bank statement to prove my account is valid. I also want to point out that the account I gave is a Bank of America account, i.e., an account from the 2nd largest bank in the world, not some tiny little bank from the middle of nowhere. So if your account is from a bank that is less recognised than BofA, you’ll be worse off than I am. I suspect Hyperwallet has been trying to wire the funds to the wrong bank because the Hyperwallet system NEVER EVEN ASKED ME FOR THE NAME OF MY BANK, much less the Swift code. I suspect Hyperwallet arrogantly thinks their inefficient tech can figure out which bank, out of the 4000+ banking institutions in the USA, to wire the funds with nothing but a 12-digit number and my name! Obviously their system DOES NOT WORK and they need to stop being so ARROGANT because THEIR TECH IS NOT AS GREAT AS THEY THINK IT IS. I have repeatedly asked Agoda.com (another monumental display of incompetence to be reviewed separately) to check which bank the funds are being wired to or at least ASK ME for the name of my bank, but they can’t do anything outside of the Hyperwallet system! To be clear, I called Bank of America and they confirmed there have been no attempts whatsoever from Hyperwallet nor Agoda to transfer funds into my account despite Hyperwallet sending emails saying they have attempted to wire funds. Hyperwallet is not just incompetent, but also a liar! So to avoid a fifth failed attempt, I have decided to use another account from a bank in a different country, but like I mentioned earlier, they give you a choice of 10 countries only. 10. Out of the nearly 200 countries in the world. After 2 days of Agoda liaising with Hyperwallet to sort out the issue, a 6th Hyperwallet link was sent to give me a choice of more countries, but it still only gives me the same 10. NICE WORK, HYPERWALLET! You ought to shut yourselves down if you can’t sort out your own tech.

I am an expert in Justanswer company…

I am an expert in Justanswer company and my payouts are send to Hyperwallet. I made a transaction from Hyperwallet to Payoneer account of mine on Decemeber the 1st 2023. I wrote the account number wrong. Payoneer bounces it back in mismatching cases. I have been writing back and forth with the Hyperwallet customer service and providing endless information with no solution. They want me to send a screen shot of wrong account number indicating that the money was bounced back. How the hell I can gain access to some one elses account to take a screenshot ? They keep stalling me .Everyday a different document is being asked. Such a pain to deal with the customer relations.

Amazon is forcing its sellers to join…

Amazon is forcing sellers to join Hyperwallet, which in its turn charges amazon sellers here there ! Does not look good, looks like the pay portal hyperwallet is a "parasite" type of platform. Do not join, so hyperwallet can quite some day in Amazon and let sellers choose, not be forced!

Awful experience

Awful experience. They are the choice of payment provider on AXS to receive funds from sold tickets, I will NEVER use AXS or Hyperwallet again. No one will resolve my fairly simple issue and I can’t get my money. Repeatedly asked the same bizarre questions to verify my account and not making any progress. Only persevering as I want my money!!

No funds on the card

Valvoline is using Hyperwallet for oil change rebates but there is no way to access the funds. I received the plastic debit card in the mail and followed all of the activation instructions but still a zero balance instead of the rebate amount. Neither Hyperwallet nor Valvoline will help despite repeated phone calls and emails with them over almost a 6 month period. Stay away from these companies.

Shame on Valvoline & Hyperwallet

I received a Hyperwallet Debit card for $15 from Valvoline for an oil change rebate. The card was received & activated in late January 2023. I forgot I had this card & went to use it today. My pin doesn’t work & the card was declined. So I went to the website. My password doesn’t work & multiple attempts to reset the password have failed. I called the number to get my balance….only $3 of the $15 remains. Apparently fees have eaten up $12 in the 7 months since the card was activated.
What a rip off. Shame on Valvoline for using this company for its rebate program.
I work in retail & other prepaid Visa Debit cards have nowhere near this kind of predatory fee structure. Screw Valvoline & Screw Hyperwallet. Guess I’ll have to find a different engine oil for my car.

Joining the other artists who Saatchi…

Joining the other artists who Saatchi have paid through Hyperwallet. Except that's where the money stays, with Hyperwallet. W8BEN form rejected time and time again. I don't think this company is genuine. Rejected for one reason then the form is resubmitted and then rejected for another reason which they didn't mention on the previous rejection. Running out of excuses to reject the form they reject if for lack of signature. Signed where it says 'sign here'. Where else could you sign. No help from the chat line. It's got all the marks of a massive scam.

The worst company ever. Stole my money, promised to investigate, but nobody answers. The worst nightmare. I beg you people, avoid it. If there is even a one good feedback, it's fake or this person was just super lucky.
