Yes there is good thing about HCOC and they do help ppl, but the Mods are making this group a cult and anyone bringing actual new information to the table is disregarded as a hoax. There are mods pretending to know better than any human on this world and even the manuals and u may not question them at all or you will get banned.

If you have questions about what can and cannot be done with the coupe including fixes then you need to join this group.

You may also find spare parts for sale from other members which can be handy as these cars are discontinued.

I agree with others at times admins can seem off, sometimes you will have to agree to disagree with them but such is life.

I always enjoyed being part of a niche car community.

Not all but the vast majority

Nasty and rude attitudes from the members of this club. Particularly those who look like they are menopausal. If you dont agree with the admins they are HORRIBLE to you. Just because you own a facebook page does NOT make you a omnipotent person. Ive been in the fiesta owners club myself and they are not nearly as rude as these guys.

If you aren’t sucking up to the admins or idly worshipping everything they say, expect to have a awful time.

PS: Maybe instead of calling out people who have an issue with the admins, look in the mirror and to yourselves? Its fine if you dislike what we have to say, but if you wasnt so bad at your roles why do you have similar complaints to this?

This group to its credit is fantastic for advice sometimes. Always gives you exactly what you need and makes better recommendations than halfords. I have to say everyone who is well informed knows their stuff and credit too them.

What i struggle with on this group and i see with other members (longer term members) generally being quite rude , playing down ideas and any modifications they do not approve of and the good old “read the bible”. Fair play, sometimes the bible has the information needed but sometimes its either not there or could be a 1 word answer. Like if you own a car group…. Surely help people first but then politely suggest the bible? Seems more like shunning opposed to helpful advice

I think the group is “OK” though. I would like it to be Good long term though. Dont like a mod? Cool dont need to add negative comments. Dont want to be helpful? Okay then save the cheap remarks?

I understand this is facebook. And I understand not everyone will have a cheerful attitude all the time. In saying that , this group feels unwelcoming right now and it’s why i personally will not be considering going to any meets associated with it. The attitude definitely needs to improve.

Now could it be done? Probably not because people are free to say what they want. But also, being kind and embracing peoples ideas thoughts or even a silly situations is cool. Being parental and telling people “thats not good because i dont like it” pushes people away. While criticism is fine, its never really critiquing , but more demeaning.

All that said i Hope attitudes get better! Maybe ill change the review or attend some meets. But for now im only using the page for guidance. It does not have a friendly feel.

Not only provide problem solutions for your car , but also providing with undispute knowledge about the coupe and best of all.. you find bunch of new friends along.

Been with the club just over 2 years now .I have been to meets with other members swapped parts had parts fixed where no one else could even point me in the right direction .The admins are all absolutely fantastic and ultra knowledgeable about the coupes .They have contacts with many different engineers if you have to ask a question look in the bible if the bible can’t help then ask .Most common questions are written in HCOC bible.You will probably think the admins are a bit blunt well yes ! when you don’t even try to help yourself first ,they are !!!a lot is common sense but some new members lack it .Before you join here’s some tips no coupes can’t be suped up ie turbos engines unless your spending 1000s£ .Your car is only worth loads of money to you .Everyone in the club will laugh at you if you try to advertise your coupe for over 4K there old cars and even the rare ones aren’t expensive .Please don’t think your in the Ferrari club .Also it’s hi un die don’t try to tell us anything different lol.

Been with this group 4 years now. I have had Hyundai Coupe's since 2004 but 4 years ago I brought the TSiii model. Being rather a newcomer to Facebook I found the Hyundai Coupe owners club. I am so pleased and grateful that I did. There is no way you should own any Hyundai Coupe without being a member of this group. The help I have had is invaluable. There are so many knowledgeable people on there. One of the best run sites I'm on!! Wouldn't want to be without these guys. Even if you don't own a Coupe it's still worth being a member..... You may learn something.... I have!

The best car club by a country mile and highly regarded by others. I'm a member of various other car clubs by ownership and this club really is the benchmark. They have standards that are actually upheld by the admin, in particular Darren who set it all up back in the day. Some clubs are unfortunately spoiled by those who seek to undermine others and don't support each other whereas this club is the only club I've been in that enforces it's standards with a strong community of members sharing the same values. Thanks to Darren and the rest of the team who continue to administer the club.

I'm an Australian tiburon owner but I've joined this group as it's the most helpful and most positive coupe group on Facebook, thanks heaps!

Great group, wealth of knowledge and support. Group is well administrated to reduce conflict and restrict trolling morons. Some real experts and definitely the go to place for problems with your coupe.

This is by far one of the best owners club out there, everyone is more than welcoming and the bible when you first join has everything you need to know about the car. Admins are great at sorting registration and any queries are answered by members quickly and accurately. As a uni student the club has saved so me so much money in regards to parts and where to purchase. Never feel the need to post a question as you know the answer is on there after a couple of minutes searching. One of the most welcoming and friendly UK owners club.

I joined the Club via Facebook 4 years ago when I got my Coupe. It must have saved me £100's so far plus when my Siii was written off by someone at a roundabout I managed to find an identical car via the sales page, and have had that for 2 years now. The Group knowledge is excellent and I have no problem with the wry humour shown by the Admin. Despite the fact that one of the car's designers is a member, so should know practically everything aby the car, there are a few arrogant axxhxxes that wont accept the collected wisdom, and get super-angry until thrown out, an action which I completely agree with.

The group itself itself is great however the head admin needs a bit of a reality check rather than using it to stroke his ego.

I have been a member of the group for around 6 months now and generally keep to myself however every time I have seen Darren interacting with a post it's either to impose his will or shame someone that doesn't agree with his views, very childish to be honest for a man that looks to be in his 50's.

Sherri is an absolute donny however.

Joining this group is the best thing any Coupe owner could do. The admin's "Bible" has all the information a Hyundai Coupe owner could ever need. I had a problem with my key fob and immobiliser and thought I would have to scrap my beloved Coupe as I was quoted £350 to fix the issue. Posted on the site asking for advice and two days and £30odd later I was up and running again! Other members are helpful and friendly too! Definitely the best car owners group on Facebook!
