Biased. Flawed process

Didn’t review or respond to initial complaints.

Sent a canned statement about Mecca Bingo and sided with them.

They’re funded by the piper who calls the tune.

I'm afraid that we can't find a record of a claim about Mecca Bingo from anyone called Andy or Andrew on or in the lead up to 19 July 2021. If you have a claim that you'd like us to review that might not have reached us, you're welcome to resend it using the details on our website.

Always side with the bookies!!

Always side with the bookies!!!

They believe bookies lies during disputes, and also agree with the bookies ridiculously unfair and unreasonable terms and conditions.

This company is useless and is just a front for the bookies themselves.

Total corruption!

Hi Lee,

We're sorry to read your review, but what you've said isn't true. IBAS adjudicates on disputes based on the evidence we receive and our Panel's view on what is fair and reasonable.

For example, if a bookmaker claims that a customer has opened multiple accounts using the names of friends or family members and obtained new account bonuses on those new accounts, we don't just accept that claim at face value. We require the company to provide compelling evidence to support their claims.

Where those types of allegations are made we believe that the onus is on the company to show more than just reasonable grounds for suspicion. If our Panel are not satisfied that there is clear evidence of the company's rules being broken we will say that the customer should be paid their rightful winnings.

However, if there is clear and persuasive evidence of several accounts being controlled by the same person, we accept that it is reasonable for a company to say that each person can only open one account and that any winnings generated from further accounts can be cancelled.

Thanks

THEY DO NOT HELP WITH BETTING COMPLAINTS

I had an issue with skybet last September over a bet.
As skybet would not pay up I took my complaint to IBAS last october (2020) initially they were helpful and said they usually take about 6 weeks to adjudicate on bookmakers complaints. I heard nothing for 3 monthes so I contacted them and they said covid19 was slowing there response times up.
I waited a further 6 weeks without response and then e mailed them and they said they would have a decision within 4 weeks. Another 6 weeks passed and still no response with a decision. By then 6 monthes had passed and it was the end of april without any resolution. I have e mailed them 4 times since the beginning of May and not once has any of my e mails been answered. This is outrageous as they are meant to be an arbitor between punters and bookmakers!
Beware with IBAS as it is just another arm of bookmakers protecting there money and they do not care about punters and there complaints.

IBAS is very biased towards the gambling companies no matter what the case as they get paid from them that's how they are still around

this is a clear breach of the gambling consumer rights and i will be getting the government to look into this, Ladbrokes also breached it back in 2019 as their terms and conditions are very unfairly weighted against the consumer which ibas used in their defense to fight against my case which resulted in me losing and no outcome apart from me making a loss for no reason, I will also be bringing this up in my meeting in 3 weeks with the head of the government gambling commission, I will also be having them look into the corruption in IBAS, I hope 1 year from now the reviews will take a opposite direction for the good and everyone will be happy but it all depends on the next three weeks i guess

IBAS/Corruption

IBAS, are paid for by the bookmakers, they will always pay out in favour of the bookmaker. I had a scenerio where they advised as some of the payments were third party they should be refunded (it was about £30) they did not know i have a previous case with the SAME critera (but the amount was near £1200) and off course they went in favour of the bookmaker for that one...can you imagine a court where THE SAME CASE has a different outcome!!! They are corrupt.

Unhelpful, corrupt, biased scum, bookies fund them so work that out!🤦‍♂️

I have contacted several press agencies with the response i got today from Jim Cremin,as he has clearly stated that Ibas will not ever help me!! They rule as they feel, its no big secret they are "not on the customers side". Look at reviews,if IBAS were genuinely helping people, and were genuinely the good guys, why are your reviews so low?? Sadly, the entire gaming industry in the uk is up there with the most corrupt in the world. Sad times

Dear Mr Radford

We have received another submission from you, but you have already been informed (as attached above) that we are no longer prepared to accept your disputes.

Yours sincerely

Sadly I am an honest punter and after a large win on a straightforward horse racing accumulator bet I did daily for years was ruled dishonest - strangely I’d been deemed honest with the company in question and never had a problem for years until a big win. They then had me through hoops despite sending many many documents including applying for a new passport being sent proving I was they refused to pay. Sent to IBAS who ruled had to prove documentation to them, all already done and after months am back to square one. No chance of pay out on this bet. clearly don’t care about an honest punter just gone round in a full circle. Many thanks.

You're not independent at all. I'd love to see what percentage you rule in favour of the punter
And the people replying via email have a real chip on their shoulders and are rude. I suggest they either retire /find another job or change their attitude. Who Do they think they are??Acting all morally superior when they reply to you.

Completely useless organization.

Completely useless organization.
I had my account with VBet permanently closed within 3 minutes of registering and sending up my documents for verification. They refused to tell me the reasons why but told me I could challenge this decision if I went to IBAS.
IBAS has NO question on it's site regarding having your account immediately closed upon registration.
What a useless organization/website it is if you cannot explain your reasons for wanting to challenge a decision.
This is not the first time I have not been able to challenge a signing up decision with IBAS.
Shocking and woeful. I'm NOT impressed.

Got me rightful winnings back from Betfair

To put some balance into these reviews i will write one about a positive experience I had with IBAS. My complaint related to an inplay football match where the company Betfair tried to void a legitimately placed bet as they claimed it was too close to a goal being scored. They tried to claim that I had a faster feed and there was a late suspension of the market. This was nonsense as I was sat at home watching on Sky. I laid a team at short odds who had just conceded a free kick, the other team then scored and Betfair waited till after the match to void my bet without even informing me. IBAS were very helpful in determining the goal time and as such my complaint was upheld and I received a refund of £800. If you have a genuine grievance where the bookie has acted wrongfully or against their rules then IBAS will help. IBAS do not exist for losing gamblers to try to claw back losses without a legitimate reason though so if your complaint is without merit then don’t expect it to come to your rescue.

Excellent service and timely support

IBAS response to my complaint against Betfair was amazing!! I had over £44k in live bets on tonights US 2020 Election and without warning or notice Betfair closed my account and denied me access to it over 2 months ago. Despite sending all the documents that Betfair needed to verify me and my source of wealth they were useless to say the least. So I insisted on a deadlock letter and sent my complaint into IBAS. Within less than a week IBAS got a response from Bestir and my account is now open again and I am ready to reap my rewards on the US election through Trumps second win!! Thank you IBAS for your timely professional assistance I would recommend you to anyone who needs help and I have , my daughter is in the same position as I am and waiting for her deadlock letter from Betfair and will put it and her complaint into your trusted hands when it arrives.

Not very helpful

Not very helpful. I had a complaint against coral , they and not me made a fair sized mistake which i had to make a complaint about. Of course , coral reject the complaint , i then refer to IBAS who were very slow to take up my complaint , practically insinuated that i had a problem and that coral were some god-like outfit. Felt very let down by the so called adjudicator they just weren't interested at all. Its hard for me to see why they exist as they appear to have no interest in helping customers with genuine , valid complaints.

Have a dispute with Betfred

Have a dispute with Betfred. They sent my winnings to somebody's else account and they accusing me that i registered that account and had multiple deposits with it,which is so not true.
Ibas ruled in their favour but not providing evidence when i requested, plus they don't bother to reply for appeals for months. Absolutely biased and useless. Disgusting service Ibas.

Agree with previous reviews. Pointless organisation, would not blame people for thinking there are just a pretend company that doesn't exist to fool people because they don't help or seem to want to help. Not sure what they are there for.

Past adjudication was pants as usual they ruled for bookies.. Have a new bet Fred case and. They don't even care to explain the need for a subject access request... They can't rule on that??? They must use blind test.. They run things blindfolded and of course biased with bookies lining their innards..
