Extremely poor customer service. Horrible logistics! They use independent third party delivery, so the people delivering your order are WORSE than DOORDASH.
It beats me why companies continue using third party delivery companies. My order shows it's been out for delivery for 9 hours. I've received all my deliveries today, yet this one now shows there are weather delays preventing the delivery when there are no weather delays.
Companies should provide the customer with the option to select which carrier to use for his/her/their delivery. iHerb selects these random people opting to get paid pennies for delivering and order, and the customers end up frustrated and disappointed with their service and shot logistics.

All the time the package comes hot and boiling as if the courier have kept it in sun knowing that the temperateure can reach almost 50 degrees during the day and inside a car it will be more , all the time we ask for temperature controlled package but never once got it

iHerb usually has the best prices for the items I need. They provide great quality products from our USA. They are unbelievably fast on delivery. You order one day, and it’s delivered the next day or two at the most! Can’t beat that, especially if you run out of an item that you need right away. My favorite online shopping Website ( iHerb ) has unfortunately lost its way! I’ve been using this site for many years now to order products to Tokyo Japan and always had wonderful experiences with iherb. But in mid 2026 it’s become the absolute worst website. Products are constantly unavailable and e prices have skyrocketed but I can accept these as it’s understandable. The negatives that I feel now is the packaging style has become worst than before and the products arrive damaged regularly. The rewards program has become totally useless from June as they don’t reward you points or anything! There was a time when every review you submitted ( for products that you bought ) gave you an instant $1 credit but unfortunately it’s all capped now at only 40 reviews per year, also almost all your submitted reviews will be blocked with the message “ plagiarism “ no matter how many time you write it from scratch and use your own words and thought…the same message will appear! Seems like iherb doesn’t value its longtime customers and only want to get new customers by offering them new account signup bonuses while taking away the benefits of loyal longtime customers! No loyalty for repeat customers is iherbs approach these days!

I love Iherb and have been a customer for over 10 years. They have a very functional website, huge inventory, very fresh expiration dates on their products and fast delivery. I appreciate getting an email for order confirmation, shipped & delivery status. The few times I have received a product that was expired or damaged in transit, once notified, they are quick to reship or refund. Hard to find much to criticize really - keep up the great work!

I've used iherb quite a few times previously without any issue.
This time my order seems to be lost in transit/stuck at a Royal Mail sorting office for an entire week without any changes at all to the status. I can't get any help from RM as the item was shipped from the US. RM told me to contact the sender so they can get some updates from their end, but it's impossible to talk to anybody at iherb. The website only allows you to talk to an AI BOT, and the bot just goes around in circles saying the same thing over and over just with slightly different wording! I have previously received emails from info "at" iherb "dot" com but when I try to email that address, I get sent back an automated email response saying:

The fact that I can't talk to a real life human is utterly infuriating. AI bots are NOT helpful, they just cause customers to get very frustrated as they have been designed to generate vague generic message responses without actually helping at all.
If I don't receive a real response from a human within 24 hours, I will contact my bank to arrange a chargeback refund to my account.
I get that the problem with my order is due to RM most likely losing or damaging my package, but the fact that I can't get through to a person at iherb for help with my missing order is very annoying.
I have previously spent quite a lot of money with iherb, but this negative experience has caused me to most likely never order from them again.

my order was placed on a weekend and was still processed at that time, which ensured there were no delays with delivery, in fact the order arrived 1 day earlier than forecast, which is great considering global fuel disruptions, the order was correct as expected. IHerb the one stop shop!!!!

Detained and Confiscated by SAHPRA
Please be extremely careful if you are ordering this product from South Africa. My entire iHerb order was officially detained at O.R. Tambo International Airport by Port Health and referred to SAHPRA. Because botanical extracts like Magnolia Bark are considered unregistered medicines here, you cannot clear them without a strict Section 21 application form completed by a registered local GP, alongside a mandatory R400 processing fee. Because the medical and administrative costs to clear the customs hold completely outweigh the value of the supplements, I was forced to officially abandon my package. It would be highly beneficial to implement a warning at checkout for South African customers to prevent them from losing their money on these items.
UPDATE FOR IHERB SUPPORT: My order number is 550480409. Please review this case as the parcel has been abandoned due to local customs (SAHPRA) restrictions.
FINAL UPDATE:Thank you so much to the iHerb Support Team for the incredibly fast and caring response. I truly feel valued as a customer! Because the refund was issued as iHerb store credit, I am a bit hesitant to use it on health products again, as South African customs did not specify which item caused the issue—they simply confiscated and detained the entire parcel under local SAHPRA regulations.
However, I am very grateful for the credit and will look into using it on safer, non-medicinal categories like everyday beauty or skincare products instead.
As constructive feedback for your development team: Please consider adding warnings at checkout or restricting health and herbal supplements for South African buyers. Local Port Health authorities are strictly detaining entire shipments, and warning future SA clients beforehand will protect them from experiencing these frustrating roadblocks.

Really needed to find a reliable source to purchase my women's vitamins New Chapter. Iherb was recommended to me by a friend so I did my homework, happens there's a warehouse in the next town, wonderful...did not want vitamins to travel long distance in heat, so I ordered them on a Saturday, vitamins arrived Monday. Such a hassle-free experience, happy with Iherb and will order all my supplements from them.

I had been dealing with Vitacost for years before they were sold to iherb. I used to buy canned food from Jyoti whenever Vitacost would put its food items on sale. The cans always came in individually wrapped in either textured paper or bubble wrap. Everything was intact. I appreciated the care.
Fast forward to last week, post-iHerb takeover. I ordered eight cans of black soy beans. They arrived at my home last weekend, mostly dented. They had been thrown into a box with a piece of crumpled paper tossed on top as if that would do anything to protect the cans. I expected to contact a Customer Service rep but the only thing available was an AI chatbot. I told it that the canned goods were not wrapped properly, and that this left five out of the eight dented. I was directed to take photographs and submit them through an online form, with no option to either request a refund (which I would've preferred) or a re-shipment of the damaged goods. I didn't want to opt for the latter because I didn't trust that they would be packed any better than the initial shipment. But without asking, they hauled off and shipped five more cans. And to no one's surprise they got here dented. I heard them rattle around in the box before I opened it. Again, they were unprotected and this time tossed into the box on their sides. Four out of the five are dented. I got back into the website and again, no human being was available. I told the AI chat bot the situation and it replied that it would be happy to send a re-shipment. I replied that this *was* a re-shipment. I wanted a refund, but again, I received no option to request that. I was again directed to take pictures of the cans. I will do no such thing. I am done with this company. Vitacost was a trusted company that I enjoyed dealing with, and I Herb is just a scam. I will no longer deal with this company under any circumstances. I definitely do not recommend it to anyone. Original order, #944983748. Did NOT want a reship, as iHerb is clearly unwilling to properly pack canned goods, but a refund. UPDATE: Please note that iHerb's apparent "concern" by asking for the order number so that they could help correct the situation (see their reply, below) led to nothing. It's been two weeks and I have yet to hear from them. I will NEVER order from this company again. RIP Vitacost.
