Corian Worktop warped after…

Corian Worktop warped after installation, removed and remade, reinstalled, still not flat and now cracked.
Turns out it was fabricated and installed when In2 Solid surfaces had already lost their Quality assurance status with CDUK/Dupont, so now the 10 year manufacturer warranty is not valid.

this is by far one of the best companies to work with.

from the ease of use of the website to the professionalism of every member of staff (planner, craftpersons, proprietor delivery) this is by far one of the best companies to work with. The price point rang of surface and quality are astonishing. I'm obsessed with my kitchen and could be happier.

Family owned and friendly from start to finish.

I'm seeking professional advice …

I'm seeking professional advice regarding the kitchen worktop installed by these guys. Worktop crack within weeks of installation and they seem to suggest that our builders have been jumping up and down on the worktop and that's how they break. They would not help in any way and said they'd only come out if we paid for a repair on our new worktop.

Staff were rude to deal with, even before the incident, I also spoke to owner who was defiant that if we should jump up and down on the worktop, of course it would break. If you are thinking of getting something done by these guy, i'd think twice before parting with your money. I wouldn't go near these guys or this company again and not recommend anyone I know to them.

I will update this post if/when any further developments happen

UPDATE (written 07/2018) :

After the exchange of messages here with In2 Solid Surfaces, I contacted Corian directly (NOT In2 Solid Surfaces) who sent one of their own guys over who did a great job on repairing the cracked worktop.

In2 Solid Surfaces have never bothered to get back in contact with me privately to sort anything out - dont think they really care about their customers. I have only seen this response from them since trust pilot updates me when they respond (with their lies!).

Good Morning KW,

We are disappointed to read the above comments.

Upon completion of the worktop installation your builder inspected the worktop very closely even using his LED torch to check for scratches and found nothing and stated he was very happy with the job.

2 weeks later we received an email from yourself stating that the Corian worktop had cracked. We explained to you at that point that we would be happy to come out and repair the worktop but it would be at a cost because the job had been signed off on completion. This you did not accept stating it was our fault that the worktop had cracked.

During your conversation with one of our owners at no point did he state or imply your builders had "jumped up and down" on your worktop. What was queried was that your builder / painters & decorators had been working in the kitchen for 2 weeks after our installation and if they had stood on the worktop then that would of caused the break.

Our owner offered to get Corian to come out and inspect the worktop free of charge so they could inspect the fabrication and quality of the workmanship. You rejected this immediately. This offer still stands.

We are still more than happy to assist you in this matter.

Please feel free to contact us on 01329288399 or info@in2solidsurfaces.co.uk to resolve this matter.

Kind Regards
In2 Solid Surfaces

UPDATE: August 2017
We instructed Corian to go out and visit the customers address and rectify the problem. Corian confirmed that the installation and fabrication of the worktop met all of their high quality standards. Corian confirmed that the crack had been caused after the installation. We instructed Corian to repair the customers worktop as a goodwill gesture.
