It appears that "Indiegogo" can be lent…
It appears that "Indiegogo" can be lent on very easily to cancel projects and keep donations if what you are doing has any actual impact or merit. Unless you are fundraising for the most vanilla and mainstream art or project imaginable, it may be best to look elsewhere.
Joke of a company
Wouldn't trust this platform ever again. Seems these muppets updated their systems and wiped loads of accounts in the process. I only know this because I saw a comment from someone mentioning two updates for a project I'd backed that I'd never seen. Checked my account - gone. One of the projects I'd backed was due a physical delivery and now I have no idea which address they have since I've moved since I backed the project.
Indiegogo = RATS!
Trustpilot please create a way for users to give bellow 1 Star.
INDIEGOGO SCAMMERS = RATS!!
run from those bastard's!
I would not recommend using Indiegogo
I would not recommend using Indiegogo. There were many technical issues and a non existent customer service. I could not get anybody on a call when I had numerous site issues. Pick a different platform for your crowdfunding needs.
I feel grifted
Extremely disappointed. Ingiegogo refuses to take any measures against creators who blatantly defy their terms of use. After backing the G7 haul pack campaign for over $500, and waiting patiently through 3 years of delays, the creator has decided to ghost his backers and Indiegogo has taken no action.
Why have terms of use that require continuous comms and regular answers to questions if, in reality, creators can act however poorly they please and backers have zero recourse?
This campaign has deeply damaged my trust in crowdfunding and I will likely never put my faith in an indiegogo campaign.
I cannot log in
I cannot log in, basically I try to log in, and my password is not working. Cool, no problem, then I try to use the "forgot password" to get a reset password email - an email which I never got, even if I filled the form 200 times. Basically no way to log in, to reach out to them or to access my backings.
Indiegogo is a scam facilitating platform
Indiegogo is built on a good concept, but with a extremely dangerous lack of any kind of protections for backers against scam and malicious projects.
The idea of crowdfunding a project is great, and some honestly run crowdfunded projects will fail to achieve what they set out to do and not be able to deliver any outcomes for their backers - this is inevitable. In situations like this, an honest project will keep their backers informed as to the project status right up until the end, even if the project's outcome ends in disappointment.
On indiegogo however, it is unbelievably common for projects to take backer's money, then disappear entirely and stop communication completely.
Projects that look and seem perfectly legitimate, that may even be backed by legitimate companies, can simply steal from you with no intention of ever delivering on any promises they make.
That is the key problem - indiegogo allows and does nothing to stop bad actors that had no intention of creating a legitimate campaign and only wanted to scam people.
This only hurts those who use the platform to try and create legitimate campaigns.
Absolutely do not back anything at all on this platform. The scam rate is so high and you have no real way of telling if what you're backing is a real project or a scam.
worse than kickstarter
Huge scam
Huge scam! They don’t validate the people that raise the campaigns and scam multiply like rats! And their support is useless…they take no responsibility!
Imagine spending 200 hours and many…
Imagine spending 200 hours and many thousands of dollars following EVERY recommended step to succeed on a platform that is built on trust. Then imagine they announce some changes that feel "off" but they go out of their way to ASSURE you that these changes will benefit you.
You share your campaign with EVERY SINGLE PERSON YOU KNOW and also tell investors to stand by because you did it all right and by all metrics you will succeed.
You take the final step and wait to launch while the platform works to make a seamless changeover...
Then you wake up to find out your campaign is now a dead link. A literal 404. The support response suggests to "start over", lol.
All that time and money and good faith - gone. All the print media with a dead link - a waste. An inbox of "WTF" emails.
And so you go with the other platform - you know, the one you should have all along because it has a solid rep - but the losses will never be made up because you spent a YEAR timing it for holidays 2024 and you've lost a few thousand supporters who do not want to jump to another platform and all the spam that comes with. If we lived in a fair universe, IGG would pay me 300K but for now I have to make peace with the fact they killed their own company in a 3 day move.
The $$$ they are spending now to offer "support" and PR is a waste and should have been spent on the devs BEFORE the fiasco.
The only other "brand" I loathe this much is Yelp.
RIP IGG.
Kind of ok
Kind of ok , but i was not sure if i will receive their product
I was robbed through this wonderful…
I was robbed through this wonderful site.A couple of times They sent something a year or two later, and the other time some crooks threw a lot of people, including me for money and that's it. That was the end of my interest.
Truly the worst customer service I've…
Truly the worst customer service I've ever seen! A company willing to take as much from their campaigners as they can without offering an iota of help. Don't bother with Indigogo, it's a scam and not worth your time.
WHAT A SCAM COMPANY
WHAT A SCAM COMPANY. I Paid £400 for an item to support the startup. The item was very bad and I agreed a return/refund. The returned item was received but Indiegogo is not responding. Just ignoring my emails. Now they have the item and my money.
This is not a legitimate platform. Just a bunch of unprofessional scammers who take money from investors looking to help startup firms. Indiegogo must be avoided!
No support
I'm running a campaign and I'm having ridiculous issues with the platform. Since the upgrade on October 16 I can't see who has backed the campaign or what perks they have. There is no tech support, there is no SLA on support requests, no UK based customer service.
Absolute worst experience
Absolute worst experience. Their customer service sucks, they only do emails and they take 3-5 days to send you a single automated email. AVOID at all costs.

I have not had much luck with Indiegogo…
I have not had much luck with Indiegogo campaigns the first one I invested in was MATE X electric bike which I did receive however never was able to get the accessorie bike rack which I also purchased. Then I purchased a folding bike helmet from Park & Diamond which never was produced. Then I purchased Sprouty for growing sprouts which also never came finally I purchased a Shrooly mushroom growing device which never came. Do not invest in Indiegogo!!!
