Beware

Beware. Horrendous experience. Car developed a significant fault within days of purchase leading to coolant all leaking out, engine overheating and a new ticking noise developing under bonnet. They repaired the leak and agreed to order a part for outstanding noise repair (still outstanding 3 months later!). They said car was perfectly safe to drive in the meantime. Within days of this repair I noticed the heating was not working but I did not realise at the time this could be linked to coolant loss. A few weeks later I was chasing up outstanding repair for noise and asked them about the heating not working and was asked to check the coolant level only to discover the tank was completely empty! This clearly indicates that either the car was returned to me after repair in an unsafe condition (I.e with no coolant) or the repair had failed or not been done properly and the coolant had all leaked out again. Either way the fault was not mine!! I filled up the coolant tank and continued to drive the car while waiting for the outstanding repair to fix the noise under the bonnet.

6 weeks later and the car again develops a significant fault, low oil warning comes on, coolant empty and a mixture of coolant and oil dripping over the floor. At this point I paid for an independent mechanic to diagnose the issues and reported back to Indus their findings. At this point I asked to exercise my legal right to reject and to return the car for a full refund as the car broke within days of purchase and has had issues ever since despite repair and at this point I have no faith in their ability to further repair it or in there integrity.

They have been incredibly obstructive in dealing with this situation, declining a full refund, stating current coolant issue is unrelated to original problem ect. They eventually collected the car, have taken the spare key, documents and my V5C then 5 days later (only after I ask for an update as heard nothing!) they tell me they are in the middle of repairing it!! I have not agreed to this, nor am I interested in having the car returned and will absolutely be taking them to small claims court. I have sought legal advice and 100% confident I will win. They currently have the car AND my money and as has been my repeated experience with Indus motors so far they are in no rush to resolve things and continue to use delay tactics and make vague statements with no evidence to back up what they are saying. Please be very very wary of handing over your money to this company.

Not as described, poor communication, and a stressful return process

Very poor experience with Indus Motors.

I bought a Mazda from them on 31 October 2025. I was told the car was in good condition, but it broke down on the way home. The AA cover linked to the vehicle did not begin until 24 hours after purchase, which left me in a difficult position when the car failed.

I then took advice from an independent garage and was advised to return the car due to a serious engine-related issue. Based on what I was later told and shown, it appeared that a repair had been carried out which did not resolve the underlying problem, and I did not feel the true condition of the vehicle had been made clear to me at the point of sale.

The way the matter was handled afterwards was also very poor. My emails were not acknowledged, my WhatsApp messages were left unread, and I only received proper engagement once I began taking legal action. Even then, the process was slow, unclear and difficult to deal with. The issue was not resolved until mid-January 2026.

I also found the return, refund and administrative side of the process frustrating and poorly handled. Although I accept I am responsible for my own DVLA obligations, the way the vehicle was taken back and the paperwork was dealt with caused confusion, delay, extra cost and unnecessary stress.

Overall, this experience cost me time, money and a great deal of stress. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Indus Motors and would strongly advise anyone buying from them to have any vehicle independently checked as soon as possible.

AVOID at all costs!!!!!!

DO NOT USE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Issue with car after 1 week, couldn’t be bothered to look at issues for weeks, they eventually had to take car to another garage to diagnose and fix. Handed car back with 2 outstanding faults and washed their hands! Completely lied, ignored calls, no communication, no customer service, disgusting can lie about giving warranty back as they took so long then to deny.
Be careful what you buy and don’t trust a word anyone there tells you!!!!!!

Did not honor its commitment

UPDATE: The warranty document has been received. It was due from their vendors, as informed by IM. The car still runs well and I think it was a good purchase.
---
I recently purchased a used car from this dealership - Indus Motors. At the time of purchase, I was promised a 12-month warranty. However, I did not receive any official documentation or paperwork for this warranty. After contacting the dealership, I was assured that the documents would be sent to my email. Despite multiple follow-ups over the past month, I have yet to receive the promised warranty. While the car is in decent condition, the dealership has not honored its commitment, which is very disappointing.
