Engin was a great driving instructor and really calm and patient with me each time after experiencing instructors who wasn’t as patient, I was very nervous trying again, however Engin made me feel very at ease and relaxed each lesson. I also passed first time with his help and I found a test further away but Engin was still willing to do lessons in this area to support me. I would strongly recommend.

I booked a two hour refresher lesson with Jason which worked wonders to boost my confidence and reassure me of my driving skills.
The day after the lesson, I then had the confidence to join and drive on a motorway - something I was terrified to do beforehand!

Jason is also great at sending you resources and videos that can be useful to improve your knowledge on any areas you feel you struggle with.

I honestly cannot recommend Jason highly enough as a driving instructor. Finally passing my test feels amazing, but more importantly, I genuinely feel like I’ve become a safe, competent and confident driver because of his teaching.

I also know this is an unusually long review, but I felt genuinely compelled to write it because of how grateful I am for how much Jason helped me. I don’t normally spend this much time writing reviews, but the quality of teaching, support and confidence he’s given me deserved it.

What really sets Jason apart is that he doesn’t just teach you how to pass a test, he teaches you how to actually drive well. I wasn’t originally from the Chelmsford/Broomfield area and was learning whilst on placement, so everything was unfamiliar. Jason never relied on memorising routes or rigid systems. Instead, he teaches from first principles and explains the reasoning behind everything, so you truly understand the “why” behind your driving decisions. That builds confidence and skills that transfer anywhere, not just test routes.

I’d recommend Jason whether you’re starting from scratch or coming from another instructor. I’d had lessons before and was comfortable operating a car, but Jason quickly identified bad habits and gaps in my understanding I didn’t even realise I had. Instead of giving vague advice, he pinpointed specific issues and gave clear, practical fixes. Every lesson felt productive, and I was constantly improving.

His balance of driving and stopping to explain theory and decision-making is also excellent. Every pause had purpose and directly improved my driving. Nothing was ever unnecessary, and it made a huge difference to my understanding.

Compared to other instructors, Jason is far more active and detailed in his teaching. You’re not just being watched while you drive, you’re being coached throughout. That makes every lesson excellent value for money.

He is also incredibly patient, calm and supportive, especially when I lacked confidence. He always explained things clearly without ever being harsh or dismissive, which made a huge difference to my learning experience.

The two-hour lessons were initially something I was unsure about, but they turned out to be ideal. They allow enough time for proper discussion, learning and practice without feeling rushed.

Most importantly, because of Jason’s teaching, I don’t feel anxious about driving independently after passing. I feel like a capable, adaptable driver, not someone who has just scraped through a test. That confidence is invaluable.

Driving lessons are expensive, but Jason is worth every penny. The quality of teaching and long-term ability you gain is outstanding.

Jason is not just an incredible driving instructor, he is an INCREDIBLE teacher and mentor. I genuinely looked forward to every lesson and am extremely grateful for everything he taught me. If you want an instructor who will help you pass and become a genuinely safe driver for life, I cannot recommend Jason enough.

I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Steven from Innov8 Driving School. He was absolutely brilliant - supportive, patient, and incredibly helpful at every stage of the process. Passing my driving exam on my first attempt was definitely thanks to Engin Albayrak. Instead of simply warning me about my mistakes, he allowed me to experience them in a controlled way so I could truly understand and learn from them. Thanks to his teaching approach, I not only gained confidence but also learned how to drive properly.

Whenever I doubted myself, he motivated me. When I felt discouraged, he was always supportive and encouraging. Considering that I was driving in the wrong lane during my very first lesson, passing the exam on my first try after just 20 hours of training was a huge achievement for me.

He is patient, professional, and truly dedicated to his work. I highly recommend him.

Learning to drive with Engin from Innov8 was an excellent experience from start to finish. Rob is an excellent driving instructor. Our son had lost a bit of confidence after lessons with another driving school didn't work out for him. Rob's patience and approach to teaching really helped boost our son's confidence, and since he passed his test, it's given him a new lease of life. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Rob as a driving instructor.
