Be careful

I had the misfortune to indirectly deal with this company when I bought a wheelchair cushion from a retailer but the order was fulfilled directly by Invacare. Communication about the order was non-existent and delivery inept. I only found out by chasing up that they had delivered a week previously but noone could say where. I eventually received the cushion after a month.

Never do business with INVACARE

I will never attempt to order parts from this manufacturer again. Customer Service, Christie, was excellent in trying to direct me to Factory Repre so I could find the right back and cushion. These items are nonrefundable and cost approximately 500 dollars each. The Repre Terry Blessing never has returned a phone call or responded to my email to date. Christian Guess, his boss, has not responded either. I would never do business with this manufacturer.

My first time calling mobility support

Shocking first call to their support department for wheelchairs. A lady answered inappropriately without stating her name, department or even company name. She then failed to listen, when I complained she responded with "oh my god"
After I requested her name she responded with Sharon, I then asked for her line Managers name she responded rudely with "Jason Jxxxx".
Does she own the company??

I have their hoyer lift

I have their hoyer lift. The hydraulics quit working after less than a month. I believe we used it less than 20 times. The lift goes up but will not come down.
We made contact for repairs and continually get sent to the answering service and have not heard back.
I'm bed bound without the hoyer lift so that is why I bought it. I'm sorry it's nothing but an overpriced hydrolic jack.

"Bret" you should have never crossed me doh.

Yeah it's obviously some sort of front or fake. The guy Brett quote on quote that I talk to you no matter what it was that I asked about he'd say oh we don't we don't sell that we don't sell them so I sent a screenshot of it and then he says oh we don't have that available and I said then why the heck is it on your website and he says for demonstrate a purposes. Except for he spells purposes like this "purpases" like what? That's not even a typo that's literally how someone tried to spell it. So then I asked for a basic scheduled maintenance for one of the concentrators I have and he says we don't have that model LOL I download the transcript and emailed it to myself I also take screenshots of the conversation if anybody would like to see please email me at sjm6815 at protonmail.com and please make the subject something of relevance like in the care chat screenshot photo is something like that

Disgusted

Recommended by Invacare to source a motor from their specific distributor in Stratford upon Avon in order to power my wife’s Invacare Azalea wheelchair. I immediately paid the distributor in full (£1200) for the motor. Nine weeks later, it still has not been delivered. The distributor, Active Mobility Limited, blames Invacare and Invacare blames the distributor. I am sitting in tbe middle with no motor and a very heavy wheelchair to push. I decided to serve SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST notices on both and await their replies. Disgusted.

Bad customer service, supply issues

I bought a brand new mobility scooter in August 2021. In January 2023 the brake and clutch seized and replacement parts ordered. Parts were promised for delivery in Feb, March, April, May and June. Every month the date came and went and the "promised" delivery date was not met. During this time I was housebound as I rely on my scooter to get out. I spoke to Invacare several times and was told there was nothing they could do. I asked if they could loan me a scooter and was told that they are not able to do that. A mobility scooter is not something we have for the fun of it, it is a necessity but no one at Invacare seemed troubled by this. I asked why they were continuing to sell new scooters if they cannot supply the parts for them, they said that they can get hold of the parts to which I replied obviously not as I have been waiting 5 months.
I spoke repeatedly with the local dealers (who I cannot praise enough) and they said that they are reluctant to purchase any further products from Invacare due the the problems supplying replacement parts.
If I was in the market again for a scooter, this is a company that I would avoid.

Pretty Poor Experience In Helping Them…

Pretty Poor Experience In Helping Them Out 😩

A recent visit to Invacare in Warwick for around two weeks - in order to assist them due to a staff shortage. What I found was quite disappointing. 😩

I won't disclose specifics as to their business, but a few things were really rather poor. One problem in particular was, and probably remains, an 'accident waiting to happen' regarding procedure during the despatch and delivery of their wheelchairs. 🚚

More than one staff member informed me that this problem is old and has been notified to Invacare on more than one occasion - but 'nothing has been done to resolve the issue.' I also reported the hazard. 🤕🤔

The principle of the business is honourable and the successful end-product is priceless for many people. However, to perceive hazards to Health & Safety - only for staff to assert that the hazards are seemingly ignored - lets any company down. 😡

In summary: Would I recommend or choose Invacare as the supplier of a wheelchair for myself if I needed one? All things considered; I don't think so. 🤔

Disappointed. 😩
