I used IPVanish mainly for privacy on…

I used IPVanish mainly for privacy on public WiFi and to access streaming content while traveling. Connection was generally stable and the app were easy to set up. Feature I’d love to see: a simpler 1-click connect for beginners and more server locations in Pakistan, also more consistent speeds during peaks times and adding WireGuard protocol would make it competitive with newer VPNs. Cancellation was easy, and support was helpful when I asked about how to cancel either through dashboard and through emailing them.

IPVanish refuses to honor their own Guarantee—Avoid if you use iOS.

IPVanish is hiding behind Apple’s payment system to avoid fulfilling their 30-day money-back guarantee. I reached out to their support after being charged for an unintended renewal. Even with Apple’s Senior Advisor advising them to provide manual authorization, IPVanish support refused to help, stating their policy is 'isolated' from Apple purchases.

It’s ironic for a 'Privacy and Security' company to act so unethically regarding billing transparency. They take your money through the App Store but hide when it’s time to stand by their promise. Avoid this company if you value customer service and honest business practices.

UPDATE: Their Management team contacted me, only to officially refuse a manual settlement. They hide behind Apple's payment system to avoid honoring their 30-Day Guarantee. DO NOT BUY IF YOU USE iOS. The guarantee is a complete lie.

Issues seem to have been rectified

UPDATE: Having spoken with IPVanish they looked into the issues that I was experiencing very promptly. IPVanish have offered and alternative which should rectify the issues that I have been experiencing. Many thanks IPVanish
ORIGINAL POST: Having been a Loyal customer paying annually on a auto-renewal basis - complaining to IPVanish as their product had suddenly stopped working for me. Being told that basically there was nothing they could do (yet other providers having no problems at all) and then being told I could not get a refund or part-refund on my subscription that had incepted less than a month ago - very poor. Joined another VPN service - no issues what so ever.

I’ve been using IPVanish for a while…

I’ve been using IPVanish for a while now, and it has consistently exceeded my expectations. The sheer scale of their network is impressive; they offer a huge number of IP addresses and a massive selection of servers spread across dozens of cities worldwide. This makes it incredibly easy to find a fast, stable connection no matter where I am or what content I'm trying to access.

refusal to cancel

After using IP vanish for many years they have bent over backwards to prevent me from cancelling. They are also misrepresenting themselves to my bank, making a charge-back quite difficult.

Go with Proton, it's a much better company and their customer service policies are not predatory.

I tried to get a refund and was…

I tried to get a refund and was rejected and it isn't even 30 days so that 30 day refund policy is bullshit.

Update : I did reach back to them but looks like they still refusing to pay back my refund ...I would stay clear away from this company or whatever ..I'll save you guys the headache...there are other better options out there...please take this advice.

IPVanish cancelled my elderly mother’s account claiming “hundreds of simultaneous connections.” She can barely log into one device.

Either their system is broken or her account was compromised—but instead of investigating, they shut her down and refused to provide real evidence.

No transparency. No accountability. Years of loyalty meant nothing.

Be warned: your account can be terminated without proof—and support won’t help.
