Slowish delivery but good tracking once despatched. Product is good but instructions are poor. No OCR software included. Price varies according to what offers Canon Iris has. Don't pay full price.

I scan articles of interest and collate…

I scan articles of interest and collate them.
The DeskScan does a great job, (almost).
I use the scanner in conjunction with a Canon G7065 printer. When I copy with the printer it turns out identical to the master image. When I scan it and print it, the copy looks inferior. I would love to get as good a copy from the scanner as I do from the printer.

The technical excellence that needs to be supported by an excellent and intuitive notice …

my rating rating is probably not where you were expecting and certainly below what I would do at first have you given. The reason behind the slow rating is not is certainly not the lack of excellence of the product fetches have been able to already use only only on my intuition. I’ve been trying to give some time to die more into the system, but this wasn’t sufficient to help me understand how modify settings to enhance my easiness, of use
In deep heavy issues in finding the right settings in the trop following situations:
- the device hooked up to the computer with the USB connection.
- the device unhooked to the computer, but using the same Wi-Fi network to transfer the data
Scanning from con iPhone from an iPad game was a kid's ga me.

Overtime, as I will improve my handling of this iriscan, I am sure that the three stars rating will go up on my almost reaching the moon. Another way, this first evaluation, not on the product itself, but also surrounding information as to its usage, which certainly should be improved with having to take a dedicated course!.

The conejtion with th small part in Iris (in too weak point) and normal usb i my pc is too slow

I simply cannot get an answer. I try to communicate with what you offer as communication. That is insufficient, binary, and forgets what was previously said of asked. So I repeat.
I bought IRISCAN DESK 6

Awful service

Good scanner? Bad scanner? I don't know since IRIS will not ship it to me. Three weeks ago, I ordered a Desk 6 Pro. I had wanted the Desk 6 Business, but it was listed as, "out of stock", on the IRIS site. Needing a scanner quickly I instead ordered the Desk 6 Pro which was listed as, "In stock". I received an email acknowledging my order immediately after placing it. My credit card was charged the next day. After seven days I had heard no more and contacted IRIS about the order. I was told the product was out of stock and would be shipped in a couple of weeks. It has been a couple of weeks and I have heard nothing else from IRIS. However, the IRIS website still lists the product as available, and it is now on sale for less than what I paid.

So, IRIS either does not want to ship me the product I have already paid for, or they are selling out of stock products on their new sale and will have all those people waiting too. It can't be both ways. If they have the scanner for their sale, then they have it to ship my order. I will be having IRIS refund my credit card - bet that will take longer than it did to take the money on the initial order. My patience is at an end and if I have any more issues, I will reverse the charges and let the credit card company sort it out. I could have had a scanner weeks ago through Amazon, but like to support other businesses to keep Amazon from getting a monopoly on everything we buy. At least Amazon would have stepped up to deal with this type of issue very quickly. IRIS not so much. Purchase from IRIS at your own risk.

Sort of easy to use and works great

Easy to use and works great. Instructions are printed in too small text for us old folks and the images therein were not particularly helpful. More detail should be included in the instruction manual.

The equipment works well

The equipment works well. Scanning works well. Learning the software was not easy for my application. I found very little help online or with training videos. After struggling for several days, I was able to compile information from several pages I read to make things happen as desired. I am older, but still productive in life. Perhaps have an older person, someone in their 60's, go over your instructions. They are not made for us analog people.

Great scanner a bit hard to use

Great scanner a bit hard to use. Unfortunately the scanner does not go close enough to the end of the unit so if you are scanning a books it makes it hard to get to the text closest to the inside margin. Software for converting works great.

Hardware is OK but software is updated.

Hardware is OK but software is updated.
Hardware works fine and quick with quality.
Software:
* Install soft version is 15 years old
* Button configuration is not so easy due to a strange software logical
* I've never found the option: "automatic white page remover", so scanner put white page between each page in "recto verso" mode !

Happy camper.

I the IRIScan 2 for many years and it still works fine on my older Macs, with the exception of a 2" blind spot on the right side. However, I only use it to scan receipts. The new Express 4 is for my PC laptop and does good job. However, screen tints do not scan very well. Light tints result in very dark tints and I find no way to lighten them except in Photoshop. Other than that, I am very happy with the Express 4.

The device is just impossible to…

The device is just impossible to install on PC or Mac. After attempting to install on various devices and different people for over 3h, we just gave up. Helpdesk only open from Mon-Fri during office hours only so we could not count on it. I was saved by the scanner in Apple notes but am definitely not happy at all. The hardware may be ok (who knows) but the software and its installation process date from the early 2000’. Terrible experience..

Great scanner with one opportunity for improvement

Pros: The scanner works perfectly and simply. The interface is sufficiently intuitive that instructions/help were not needed.

Cons: The software could use a "brightening" function, as, without external lighting, the images are frequently low contrast.
