IRIS charter company best in Mallorca!!

We had an excellent experience with this boat rental company. From the beginning, the entire crew was extremely helpful, professional, friendly, and attentive. They made sure everything was well organized and that we had everything we needed throughout our time on the boat.
The boat itself was in excellent condition—very clean, comfortable, and clearly very well maintained. It was obvious that the company takes great care of its boats and places a strong emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction.
The service was truly outstanding, and the crew was wonderful throughout the entire experience. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and always willing to help. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a high-quality boat rental with excellent service. We will certainly be using them again! Thank you for your services IRIS !!

AVOID

Unfortunately, our experience with this charter company was very disappointing. We rented a yacht with friends, and during the trip a serious rudder failure occurred – completely beyond our control. Despite this, we were charged for the repair costs, even though we had purchased insurance beforehand.

The lack of fair treatment and accountability in this situation is unacceptable. I would definitely not recommend

Appalling Yacht Charter

Appalling Yacht Charter – Unsafe, Filthy, and Run by Clowns Who Don’t Care

I’ve never experienced anything as shockingly bad as this.

The moment we left port, the nightmare began. The yacht was a disaster waiting to happen:

Critical safety failures – navigation lights and screens were dead, the bilge pump didn’t work, and some galley appliances were downright dangerous.

Filthy and neglected – air conditioning broken, toilets reeking constantly, and mould growing visibly on the blinds.

Hygiene wasn’t just poor; it was non-existent.

And if that wasn’t enough, the staff couldn’t have cared less. Mathias and Iris, the owners, were astonishingly dismissive and unprofessional. Their attitude made it crystal clear they have zero concern for guest safety or experience.

This review is a public service announcement: stay far away from this operator. There are plenty of reputable companies out there. Don’t risk your safety, comfort, or sanity with this one.

Absolute scum of a charter company.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING EXPERIENCE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I have been chartering yachts for over 10 years across multiple regions, and I can confidently say this was by far the worst charter experience I have ever had.

Once we left port and started using different parts of the boat, it was clear that the vessel was not maintained to even the most basic standard. The staff were shockingly unhelpful and seemed entirely uninterested in our experience or safety. The two that really shocked me was Mathias and Iris, the owners, absolutely disgusted by their attitudes.

There were serious safety concerns, navigation lights and screens were not functioning, the bilge pump was inoperable, and several appliances in the galley were outright dangerous to use. For any vessel, but especially one being offered for charter, this is simply unacceptable.

On top of that, the general condition of the yacht was appalling. The air conditioning did not work, the toilets gave off a constant unpleasant smell, and mould was visible on the blinds. Hygiene standards were non-existent — something that made the trip deeply uncomfortable from start to finish.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others, this operator does not care about safety, service, or cleanliness. There are plenty of reputable companies out there, do yourself a favor and avoid this one entirely!

BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE SERVICE

- We paid extra for the “early checking” which was delayed because previously contracted items were missing from the ship.
- Once en route to our destination we discovered that the autopilot was randomly failing, causing the boat to turn sharply to starboard without warning.
This meant that we had to constantly keep an eye on the helm.

- The forward toilet door was blocked several times with someone inside. The toilet itself had unbearable sewage odors all the time.

Run away !

I cannot recommend these scammers, the boat was not that good, it was obvious that no one had lived on it and what's more they took our deposit because their equipment is of poor quality, run away!

Crooks

The boat we have rent was not properly maintained, many security issues, and apparently several other boats have the same issues. Iris took us our deposit because a very old helyard broke during the trip, which spoiled our holidays. Never rent a yacht with this company.

Charter Applied charges unjustified. Poorly maintained boats

The charter company applied a charge due to damage of the Bimini, which in my assessment was due to wear and tear. Moreover, The boat had numerous maintenance issues.

I would like to thank the entire team…

I would like to thank the entire team of Iris Yacht Charter for a great welcome and the yacht is in excellent condition.

We were very happy and we liked everything! And how you helped during the preparation stage, and how we were met by Victor and other employees.
Very friendly and always answered all questions, not trying to hide something, as is often the case in other charters.

Our experience with you is very positive! The boat, "Black Pearl", despite the 2014 year, is simply in excellent condition! I have never seen so much equipment, despite the fact that it should actually be, but it is very rare. Spare fuses for everything and tool kits just won my heart. This is usually not present and breaks most often.

The boat navigation is new and works perfectly! In general, we are really happy!

Our trip went well and we liked Majorca very much, there is other interesting places to see and explore further on the island!

Thank you very much from our entire team and look forward to future cooperation!

Great German charter company in Spain, Mallorka

I had a nice charter at Mallorka on Oct 13 2018 with Bavaria 37 2014 Black Pearl.

Good price, competent English speaking staff, nice owned boats, friendly owner, good variety of options (grill, SUP)
