My daughters confidence tranformed!
I saw my daughters confidence completely transform during her time with iRock, I never thought I would see her get up on stage and sing in front of a large audience! Thank you iRock for being so encouraging, patient and all round awesome!

My daughter loves iRock classes
My daughter loves iRock classes. She has been attending the classes since reception. The variety of instrument or vocals that is offered it amazing. When my daughter wanted to try and different instrument it was completely encouraged. I feel iRock really enhanced her confidence. She was always quite shy, but was confident to perform with iRock infront of the entire school. I could not recommend iRock more.

Highly recommend
My daughter absolutely loved her irock lessons! She gained so much confidence from singing in front of an audience and being part of a band. I would highly recommend them.

If your child so happens to be…
If your child so happens to be ‘unfortunate’ enough to be left handed, then don’t bother with this lot. Our son was so excited to learn guitar and this seemed like such a good idea…equipment provided, ‘professional’ coaches, all in a school setting. Rather than reach out to us, or his school…they decided to tell the poor boy in his first lesson that if he wanted to carry on he would need to get a left handed guitar and bring it along. While I appreciate that not everyone is left handed, punishing children by excluding them for being so without any form of communication or sympathy is beyond unacceptable. When calling to raise the issue (after emailing and getting zero response) the only response was ‘Oh does he want to do piano instead then?’…no explanation, just an attempt to keep the money coming in. Beyond disappointing.

Not great
Not great. They rather over-hype themselves. It’s a fairly faceless organisation from the parent/guardians PoV presumably set up for out of work young musicians to gain mentoring experience and obtain some kind of regular pay, all the while exploiting families with hopeful young kids. We were led to believe there would be some kind of performance the children were working towards but this never happened and when questioned, I received a dismissive ‘school said no’ response, then my kids subscription ended after a paultry six weeks of missed playtimes (and very little else from what she tells me), and that was that. Doesn’t seem to have done her much harm but not sure what the point was. I’d just suggest approaching these sessions with caution, and through personal trusted recommendation.

My son had lessons as the tutors came…
My son had lessons as the tutors came to his school to provide one 30 minute lesson per week. He was really excited to learn an instrument and loved every lesson, unfortunately they seem to only care about the money, they have barely learnt anything, they've missed lessons, one of the last ones we had an email stating the tutor would not be able to make the lesson in 2 weeks time, so next week they would have an extra lesson on a different day of the same week to make up for the missed one. They did come to the school, but missed out my sons class, so he did not get that. After the school contacted them about this, they said the tutor arrived late due to traffic, and didn't have time to give my sons class the lesson, that they would give the missed time with the next lesson (last one of the school year). Guess what? They didn't get any extra time, I even asked the teacher to check the time when they left and when they came back from iRock so i knew if they really did have the promised time. Wow, so I have emailed them a few times, asking if they're going to refund the money for the missed lessons, as there was also one earlier in the year too with the tutor off for sickness. They refused to admit they're at fault and won't refund, if its £35 per month for 1 child, excluding all the half terms, bank holidays etc there have been over this term (obviously was loads in may too), then I'd LOVE to know how much they extort for the same amount of time with no days/weeks off school because I feel robbed. Top it off even though it's finished now I also just had an e-mail confirming my continued direct debit, why on earth would I continue paying for this? Firstly it's finished, secondly even if it wasn't I would rather my money go to a private tutor, atleast my son would learn something worthwhile.

Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish. Don’t bother. My son has done this club for the past year- all they care about is making money- and their terms and conditions are carefully worded so they don’t compensate you when they cancel lessons. And they cancel lessons a lot as they are unable to keep teachers very long.
They kept delaying the performances again and again. Our school was thoroughly fed up with them.
Poor feedback. Terrible customer service. Go with anyone else. Our school isn’t renewing them again for September.

iShock is a more fitting name for this school of rock
My son joined this after school club in June 2022. The company insisted on a direct debit payment and reduced the amount for June to reflect the late start. However, the full fee was charged in July, despite iRock only delivering 2 sessions that month (in contrast with 4 in June). I was given the full price in April of £56.34 and was told it was for 8 weeks. But they in fact only delivered 6 in total because they hadn’t realised the school finished early and also misquoted the number of sessions. They refused to refund the undelivered session and instead claimed that there is no price per lesson because they are “a subscription service” to add insult to injury, they didn’t not hold end of term concert for the kids and instead emailed us a 40 second video of them playing TWO keys on repeat while counting 1, 2, 3, 4…in short, they are dishonest, shambolic and breached every item of their contract. They taught the kids very little in the time they had. The worst after school club we have ever experienced!
