UPS allegedly delivered my order from…

UPS allegedly delivered my order from I&R, however I was at the shipping address and they never came. I asked I&R to file a claim and they refused... because it's listed as "delivered." F these guys, avoid at all costs. Customer service is horrible. They basically told me to f off.

Quality product, helpful staff

I bought the Cruiser jacket, which was beautifully crafted. A touch heavy but that is the style. Unfortunately, I got the size wrong but returning the jacket from Belgium to France was effortless, and the staff were super helpful and flexible. Delivery costs etc were the usual.

Awful customer service, vastly expensive shipping

The EU branch of Iron and Resin is based in France. They use the most expensive FedEx shipping options to the UK, which makes the buyer incorrectly assume that tax and duties have been factored into the shipping cost, as many (better) companies do. this is not the case. Subsequently, be warned that I ordered £120 of clothes and ended up paying €28 shipping and a further £66 in import, duty and handling fees from FedEx.

While the company mentions in an unfoldable menu in small print that you will pay import duty, it to my mind goes out of it's way to downplay the size of the cost. It's 2025 - plenty of other companies have figured out how to clearly inform the customer of their final cost. I've spent time in the US and have found the US branch of the company to have excellent customer service, so I got in touch. I was met with passive aggressive responses and when I asked for them to either wholly or partially cover the duties, this was ignored.

Be advised that in returning the products, and re-import taxes due would also cost you, the customer.

Buyer beware.
