AVOID- If I could give less than 1 I…

AVOID- If I could give less than 1 I would, our bus was set to leave milan at 8.15 heading to Venice. The company sent an email explaining the bus was late and gave a link for a live tracker which told us when the bus would arrive. We didn’t mind this and got a coffee whilst we waited however an hour went by, then 2. At 10:30 a bus showed up from itabus heading towards Venice however we and 15 others who were waiting were told we could not go on this bus as it wasn’t the bus we had booked and reassured us that in 1 hour a bus would come for us. 1 hour goes by and no other bus arrived. I spoke to the ticket office ( not ran by itabus) at 11:30 and they explained that there was no bus coming at all and we needed to contact itabus for a refund and attempt to buy a train ticket. We called itabus and they had no knowledge of the replacement bus we were previously told about. We opted to get a train ( this was now at 12) to get the train we had to pay €10 for a taxi then €40 on train tickets. I called itabus for a refund ( which would not cover these costs) and was sent an email with a link. The link sent us to a form to fill out for the refund however is made impossible to fill out as it asked for things like ‘ IBAM’ without explaining what it meant and you cannot submit the form until each box is correctly filled. So it total we have lost around €60 in travel expenses and 5 hours in time ( which we are limited on as we are only here for a few days) I will never use this company again and I suggest you don’t either!!!

This company has terrible service

This company has terrible service, (mind you they didn't even stop at the location they marked) I went on their website to locate the bus, it was a few meters away, with a blown tire... Long story short, we go there, the staff says that they can't let us and they won't wait for anyone, even tho they didn't stop anywhere, even leaving people behind, and just like that, once the tire was changed they drove away, without letting us in and without a refund, at all.
Avoid this company and buy a flixbus, they cost more for a reason, they won't leave you at 11pm in the middle of nowhere alone.

Itabus was AMAZING

what’s up with all the negative reviews??? it almost made me cancel my booking (7h ride from rome to venice). itabus was punctual (1 min early actually, so BE EARLY), clean, comfortable and the drivers were so nice and informative. so glad i went to try it out. i knew i had to come back to give my review because the other reviews scared the heck out of me. book itabus!

Rudest Staff Ever

Although the buses seem modern, new and comfortable that’s about it. Never in my life have I been so poorly treated for a paid service as I did from the animals they call drivers. The drivers are rude to anyone who doesn’t speak italian. I wrongly put my bag in an area I wasn’t supposed to and the driver told me off and yanked my bag and handed it to me in an abrupt manner and just said: no no no! I was shocked to the fact he took my stuff and tossed it at me so my face showed the anger and he just said: what? Do you want to drive the bus as well? You think you can do what you want?
For the whole 8 hours of my journey I couldn’t relax because of how stressed that made me feel. Avoid at all costs

Terrible experience as first time…

Terrible experience as first time travelling with Itabus. From the Lecce to Rome. Where and how to begin? The lack of good manners from the drivers ti their excessive needles arrogant behaviour towards few customers were unacceptable and unbelievable. I may understand if people are not able to speak English but change the tone of your voice because of that is just absurd. I found the behaviour of one of the drivers very much so when talking to a gentleman from North Africa who was just asking what time we would be arriving in Rome. Avoid this company

Italbus terrible company.

This is terrible company. We had wait in Bergamo airport 1 our bus with tickets to Venice without any result. Have not possibilities to call and control bus flight online. Forced to leave by train.

Never use Itabus

Never use Itabus, especially if you don”t speak Italian. I had two tickets, for me and my son (8 years old). We paid extra for them. But other people had sit there. We sit where was free. But on the next bus station came man and women, and said “Here are our places” and called the driver. He came and try to move the people who were on our places, but they said no. They argued for a while, but they did not release our seats. Finally, the driver lifted us from our seats (my son was sleeping) and moved us to some seats in the back of the bus. The child was sleeping, we had paid more, but since we don't speak Italian they made it easier for them to move us.

Still waiting for the bus to arrive…

Still waiting for the bus to arrive…. it’s been 2 days.
The bus is cheap for a reason, the fact being it doesn’t actually turn up at the designated time or day. There is zero communication between the company and its customers, we were told the night prior the bus would be run by a different company but they did not tell us the company’s name or the number of the bus…. We stood at the Rome bus station with about 25 other people awaiting for a bus that never came. Nobody had information, nor could contact the agency. My friend and i ended up catching a flix bus instead, which was the best decision we could’ve made.
Moral of the story… don’t book with them book with flixbus instead, at least you know they will turn up eventually.

Seats 69 and 70

My seat (69) was broken so every time I sat my back would recline all the way down almost landing on the passenger’s legs behind me. The member of staff that decided to sit next to me across the aisle said “yeah, it’s broken.” No eye contact nor a solution like offering me the air that he was on (there was another sit in front of him available.
As soon as we took off, he fell asleep and started to snore REALLY loud and did so for the entire trip apart from the moments he had to wake up to check people’s tickets during stops. No one in the ground deck slept that night because of him. At around 4am his alarm went off for 5 minutes straight and he didn’t bother waking up to stop it. I passenger asked him kindly to try not to snore to which he said (in a very rude manner) “put your headphones on so that you don’t hear me.”
The toilet in the ground deck smelled real bad and was quite knackered. No member of staff seemed worried to make it better.
A few times during the night it really felt like we almost crashed as the driver would swing the buss quite histericaly.
We arrived in Rome next morning all very tired and very disappointed with the service. Some passengers complaint as they were coming out of the bus and members of stuff didn’t care to listen.
AVOID using this company!

Bus departed earlier but didn’t notified us👎🏻

We booked an Itabus 3804 to go to the Parma from Napoli in 15th April 2024. Went to the bus station 30 minutes before the departure time as my ticket and we waited more than 1:30 hours for bus. But actually bus was departed 1 hour earlier. They didn’t notified us via email or over the phone. Even the Bus Tracking / Refund and Date change options are doesn’t work.

Absolutely terrible service, avoid it

Bus was 45 minutes late then waited for another 35 minutes before setting off. Bus tracking service did not work. Bus was not the one advertised- we booked specific seats but the bus we went on was different. No information available, no explanation, no effort to do better. Itabus is to be avoided. Do yourself a favour and take a train

The bus did not come and they did not notify us

The bus did not come and they did not send any email that the trip was cancelled. We ended up buying expensive last minute train tickets to make it to out flight. This is a horrible company that does not bring any with what they are doing and making other people struggle when traveling. Pure rip off, I'm very sorry that such a company exists in Italy

Cancelled bus 6 hours before my trip

I booked a bus for 9am for Rome.
At 3am (of course I was sleeping at that moment) they sent an email that my bus was cancelled and they booked me for the bus of 5pm, while they had earlier buses. So right now I'm just standing at Napoli bus station. Their customer service opens at 10am. I can't even contact them about my situation because it's "too early". They are completely unprofessional and unaware of their customers' needs.

They cancelled our trip couple of minutes before the departure, and forced us to wait 4 hours for the next trip.. too much.. at least warn us couple of hours before so that we understand the situation and know what to do

Gratitude for Exceptional Assistance During My Journey with Itabus

I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional assistance I received during a recent journey from Firenze to Roma. Despite encountering a delay and missing the departure time, drivers Aldo and Ciro went above and beyond to ensure I reached my destination smoothly by arranging an alternate bus and providing valuable flight advice. Additionally, fellow passenger Bianca kindly assisted in looking after my luggage. And all the exemplary helps and kindness I’ve received made a significant difference, and I am truly thankful.

We finally took the train

The bus was announced 20 minutes late. He finally arrived 45 minutes late and broke down 1km from the station. We understood that the bus's engine had broken down and the driver could no longer start it. We had a flight to catch in Rome and the driver could not tell us when we would arrive, we had to pay for a last minute train so as not to miss the flight.

They are really impunctual

They are really impunctual. Never trust them before your flight. They dont start timely and ultimately after a number of stops, they reach to the final destination by around 30 mins delay. I had a trip from Turin to Bergamo airport. I had almost missed my flight for their delays

Irresponsible drivers!!!

Ok. So I have been travelling, strongly recommending this bus company bec for over a year I have been using their service almost weekly. Today, my husband and daughter who is 7 was scheduled to go to Rome from Parma at 11.50. The driver did not make a stop in Parma so 7 passengers were all left waiting at the Parma station. It was due to the station being closed early in the morning bec of an upcoming soccer match. Itabus did not arrive. But other buses headed to Rome and Milan an hour before the Itabus schedule already picked up passengers at the station.We all called They said that emails were sent. But we did not get any. All of those 7 passengers waited until 13.20 at the Parma station until the time that the bus location already indicated it arrived in Reggio Emilia.All 7 pax called Itabus hotline while we were there. No call no info and not even a refund. I trusted so much that this service is even more efficient than Trenitalia but it seems that in emergency situations like this, the drivers got to decide for themselves and not think about the losses incurred by the passengers they left behind. EVERY PASSENGER MATTER
