I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by this university.
I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by IU university. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, filled with stress, anxiety, and wasted money. The university has consistently failed to take responsibility for its own mistakes, and I’ve had to suffer the consequences twice in a row.
First, I was forced to retake an exam because their website didn’t work properly during my scheduled session. Then, during a second course exam, the organizer ended the exam an hour earlier than scheduled—again due to their mistake. Instead of taking responsibility, the university asked me to retake the exam, causing me even more stress and frustration.
Despite repeatedly reaching out for support, I received no real solutions or accountability from the university. This lack of professionalism and disregard for students' well-being is unacceptable. I regret choosing this university, as it has been the worst academic experience I’ve ever had.
I strongly advise anyone considering this institution to think twice before enrolling.

First and foremost, the timing of my first exam was deliberately scheduled outside the maintenance window that was indicated in myCampus. I specifically ensured that my exam would not conflict with this period, so it is clear that the issue lies entirely with the university's system. It would have been better to thoroughly review the data before asserting otherwise.
Furthermore, your reply fails to address the issue with my second exam, where the exam organizer ended the session just half an hour after I began, which was one hour earlier than the scheduled end time. This was unquestionably the university's fault, yet it has been ignored in your response.

in the past communication with our quality management, we were able to see that you have already been informed that maintenance work on our examination system took place on April 29. 2024. This information was also transparently visible to all students on myCampus.
During this time, it will not be possible to take, schedule, reschedule or cancel an online exam.
This session was marked as a “no-show” due to announced maintenance work communicated via message and therefore no failed attempt was recorded.
Under these circumstances, it is necessary for you to retake the exam as we did not receive a submission for the first scheduled exam. No work has been received, so there is nothing to mark.

Balancing Work and the Future: Fitting a Bachelor's in AI into My Busy Schedule
Working 6 hours a day can definitely make fitting in education feel impossible. But for the past year, I've been conquering that challenge and pursuing a bachelor of applied artificial intelligence, thanks to IU International University of Applied Sciences part-time online studies! Here's why it's been such a positive experience:
- Flexibility is Queen: This is a huge win for anyone with a busy schedule. Between work and personal commitments, online classes let me learn on my terms. I can squeeze in a lecture during my lunch break, or work on an assignment late at night when things are quiet.
- No Commute, More Time: Let's face it, commuting eats up precious time. With online studies, that travel time is freed up for studying or simply relaxing. It's a small change that makes a big difference.

This university is horrible guys, they keep telling you that you are not yet enrolled because you still need to give them more documents which is nonsense because I gave them all my documents they just are playing around with me for 4-5 months and more even so I wasn’t studying anything this time then when I send them back the iPad and I said I don’t want this university more they said you need to pay 1.600 € and I wasn’t enrolled to study anything they just wasted my time for nothing they are not replying when you say how this happened just keeping sending the letter of fins and that you need to pay more and more . Please keep away from this horrible university

Absolute Waste of Money and Unethical Business Practices
My experience with the international distance learning school was an absolute DISASTER. I honestly cannot stress enough how disappointed I am with their unprofessional approach.
First of all, this distance learning program is definitely not suitable for those who are not extremely self-directed. The support from the school was practically nonexistent, and it was clear that they didn't care whether students were actually succeeding or not.
But what's even worse is the fact that the school seems to be intent on squeezing as much money as possible out of their students. When I tried to cancel my contract, I was bombarded with contract clauses that forced me to pay for an additional 7 MONTHS of fees. Not only is that outrageous, but it's downright unethical.
A year later, I received an email demanding payment for an additional 2 months of fees that supposedly had been forgotten. Then old invoice reminders one after the other..
And as if that weren't enough, after 2 years, I suddenly receive a bill for 50 euros for keeping my tablet. But here's the kicker: It turned out that I wasn't actually allowed to keep the tablet (which is how it was suggested from the way the email was written) but they wanted to make me pay monthly fees of 50 euros until I returned it.this is nothing short of criminal.
Overall, I've poured an incredible amount of money into this dreadful university, only to finance their questionable business practices. It was undoubtedly the biggest mistake of my life to get involved in this venture.
My advice to anyone considering putting their money into the IU: Stay away! You will regret investing your hard-earned money in an institution that doesn't have the best interests of its students at heart.

This is a horrible university, they keep me waiting for a month for the enrollment but don't reply to me if i can be enrolled or not. They don't let me know anything and just keep me waiting and miss another opportunity. My mental health becomes so terrible after 1 months they keep me waiting without any answers. I call every number I could but nobody can help my situation. I study Mediendesign, which is rare major for distance study, that's the only reason that i try to be enrolled here. This is a joke, After more than 18 months in distance learning, I would like to give 0 stars.
Some of the scripts are WRONG (I know this from practice and years of job experience), the corrections sometimes take 3 months, and the quality of the materials provided is inferior. If I could, I would transfer to another university - you don't learn much here and you still have to be careful not to acquire incorrect information.

Our scripts are updated on a regular basis and in consultation with the academic managers of the course. In this way, we ensure at all times that the quality and topicality for our students is given. The frequency of revision depends, among other things, on the age of the script and developments in the field.
You can also find all other options for submitting feedback on the scripts in myCampus in "Courses & Learning - Scripts - How can I give feedback on the script & other course materials?".
We disclose the notice periods openly on our website. Of course, these are also documented in detail in the contract.
Accordingly, our students have the opportunity to test the Online Campus for four weeks. Within these first four weeks, there is the possibility to cancel the contract free of charge. So if you decide that the distance learning program does not suit you for various reasons, you will not have to pay any fees during the first four weeks. During this time, all offers and services of the IU are available to you in the context of your studies.
If the distance learning program is not right for you, you can cancel the contract within the first month from the day you received access to the course material without giving any reason.
If you like your studies and want to continue them, the first month will be considered as a regular study period with costs. We will only charge the fees after the cancellation period has expired.
Your cancellation period after the expiration of the cancellation period can be found in the terms and conditions of your contract. Up to the end of the first five months, the contract can be terminated with a notice period of one month to the end of a full month in relation to the start of the contract.
After the first five months, the contract can be terminated at any time with a notice period of three months to the end of a full month in relation to the start of the contract.

Deceptive Practices and Financial Burdens: My Experience at the International University
I have decided to complete a trial month at the International University to gain insight into the range of courses offered. Unfortunately, my experience was accompanied by unpleasant surprises.
First of all, I hadn't even submitted my complete documents, including my high school diploma, when I began the trial month. Nevertheless, I engaged with the course materials to assess whether pursuing the studies alongside my job would be feasible. However, it quickly became evident that the time commitment was too high for me, and I decided not to continue with the studies.
The actual problem started when I realized that the trial month automatically extended itself. I only reached out when I wanted to return my iPad. To my surprise, I learned that I had already been enrolled despite not providing proof of my university degree. Even more shocking was the fact that I was presented with a bill of €738.
I immediately contacted the student office, hoping for understanding and a reasonable solution. Although they confirmed that I hadn't logged in since my trial month, they were not willing to accommodate me. They didn't even grant me the option to only pay the fee for the trial month.
This experience has deeply disappointed me. The International University has shown little interest in addressing the needs and concerns of its students. I had considered the possibility of pursuing studies in a different time model, but after this experience, I will definitely not take any further steps towards IU.
It's regrettable that an educational institution presenting itself as international and forward-thinking employs such questionable practices and remains inflexible towards its students. I can only hope that my review will help other prospective students make an informed decision and protect themselves from similar unpleasant surprises.

A wonderful university with great teachers and extremely helpful members. IU International University exceeded my expectations from the beginning. I am doing online studies, which is extremely flexible and I honestly never expected university to be such a wonderful experience. Very easy use of the online campus website, help is always offered and interaction with other online students is also an option. The courses are very interesting and insightful.
