I had a great experience at the workshop. The topic was about housing in Berlin and I could get many tips of how to find my home. It was also good because of the clear explanation of the Advisor Nites... See more

Yesterday's networking event at IU campus for master's students was a great chance to build new connections in a relaxed environment. It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and even discuss potential collaborations with students who might not have been in my immediate academic circle. Overall, the free food and drinks were a nice touch, and the event provided a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for building meaningful connections. It was a great way to meet other master's students and expand our professional networks in a casual, enjoyable setting.

This place is a scam! Be careful, there slimey contract is setup to trick you from the start. The course I took is like a 15€ udemy course. I decided to stop my studies and they want 4 months of tution. I will never pay and take this debt to my grave. How can they pray on young people trying to study, usually without high income. It’s truly disgusting. On Reddit you can find lots of people in the same boat with loads of stories. Some even with court threats and huge lump sums to pay. DO NOT APPLY

i just quit after three months of trying and also talking to students of higher semesters. Thatś the feedback i sent them: Just so you can fix things for the future: Programming: the gap from the first to the second semester is tooo big. things are required in the 2nd. semester that were'nt even taught in the first semester neither in the coursebook no in the live sessions or sprints. Still the lexel of knowledge at the end of 2nd semesterś course OOFP is underwhelming. Math: in the practice examples for exam preparation are concepts that again were'nt discussed in the coursebook or in the live sessions Introduction to Python: as mentioned insufficient information to even be able to do the 2nd semester's simple task. Teacher leaves a 2 hour live session after 1:20... Mistakes in the scripts all over the spectrum and i'm not only talking about typos iḿ talking about misinformation. I don´t have to tell you about the cheap and utterly and completely awful proctoring provider. A lot of students confirmed my experience: you have to get a big part of your knowledge from sources like youtube and online courses i'm not paying for that!!!! and iĺl let the world know so no other students have to try it out for themselves like me.

The support structure is great. The courses are relevant and interesting and fit my preferred way of learning.
The study coach I interacted with showed genuine interest in me as a person and really wanted to help.
I am glad I decided to study at the IU!

After reading all the reviews which had 1 star, I noticed that I went through the same experience as theirs. Which means this university does this to many people! I DEFINITELY don't recommend this university to anyone. Don't waste your time for nothing. Taking advantage of people not reading the small fonts in contracts, they later exploit this to cause harm. They especially wait for your bill amount to increase.
4 days ago I received an invoice to my mailing address, in the letter it said that was the last reminder for the payment. Firstly, I did not receive any reminder letters or invoices at my mailing address prior to this letter.
After applying to IU´s psychology department in July 2024, some documents and my diploma were requested. After sending these documents to the school, it was stated that I was not yet enrolled, and thus I could not officially be a student. I would like to say that when i finally got an email that said my high school diploma was not sufficient to study in IU, it was already 3 months passed since my application date. Moreover, the rejection letter IU sent me months later caused me so many problems, including my mental health. Because the student affairs office spoke so hopefully, I didn't apply to another university in the meantime, hoping that I would be accepted into IU. In October 2024, the application deadlines for other universities had already passed.
Later on, I sent their iPad back and in the email, they wished me a better future and so on. So i thought they cancelled my registration but NO. They didn't cancel it, but kept adding every month's invoice on top of it. And I NEVER got any reminders to my mailing address, nor any notifications that I need to pay to this school even though I wasn't even a student of theirs.
Additionally, it appears that payments started from September 2024. My contract started in October 2024. I was informed that October was a probation month and that I did not need to make any payments. DO NOT believe them saying "probation month is free of charge", that's totally not true!!!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with IU International University of Applied Sciences. From the very beginning, the information provided about admission requirements was misleading, and the staff failed to clarify critical details. Despite multiple attempts to request a pause (gap) in my studies due to unexpected documentation hurdles, I received no useful assistance. Every interaction felt like they were more focused on collecting payments rather than genuinely supporting students.
Communication was slow and often unhelpful. Instead of finding flexible solutions—like they initially promised—I was met with automated reminders about unpaid fees and threats of legal action. My final attempts to get clarity or suspend my contract went unanswered, leaving me feeling abandoned and frustrated.
All in all, it was the worst educational experience I’ve ever had. I would strongly caution anyone considering IU International University of Applied Sciences to double-check the fine print and consider other options. Their promises of flexibility and student support simply do not match the reality.

I thought it was a very disappointing experience.
They have little to no support, I could never get an answer for my questions by email or call or Whatsapp. They only proactively supported me before I enroll and agree on the payment and stuff, but after that they were never interested.
Maybe it's an ok university I am not sure, but it seems that they want it to flow automatically without their interference , just like a passive income probably.

The course book is well guided. Foundation courses are well covered before the main courses. Like doing Advanced Statistics and Mathematics before Machine Learning and Inferential Statistics, it was actually very helpful and a learner friendly form of learning. It takes fear of failing away from me.
