Sainsbury’s own products are dreadful now
I always shopped at sainburys on the understanding it was more expensive but the quality of their own brand was really good. Well we treated our selves to a sainburys shop the other week and bought a few items including biscuits and they were politely dreadful. Hard and tasteless, the mince was fatty and shelf life on ll products was poor. Absolutely not worth the shocking prices of items in there. Disgusting. The only people fining from this decline are the wealthiest in society running these places to the ground for their own pockets to increase. It’s time we all took a stand and said no
RIP OFF
Simply, why are Sainsburies small shop in Hinckley selling Clover Spread 500g at £6 whilst ASDA are selling the same, at the time, for£1.50?
Useless
Grocery order was placed but never arrived. I wasn’t given any explanation and didn’t even receive the courtesy of a phone call to say it wouldn’t be delivered. When I rang Sainsbury’s customer service, they couldn’t provide a reason either. Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of time. Unfortunately, I won’t be using this service again.
Let down by an overpriced and poorly managed delivery service.
The food is good, but it's let down by an overpriced and poorly managed delivery service. I booked three successive slots one after the other, and they changed them, couldn't deliver, and finally told me it was my delivery was not on the truck. So I cancelled the order and Tesco got my money instead. And a lot less of it too! That's the last time I will every shop at Sainsbury's.
Sainsbury’s Sittingbourne
Sainsbury Sittingbourne has just installed a new parking system system in the car park charging £1.50 to use the shop
Paid to park on Friday 20/2 and Saturday 21/2 in total paid £3.00, was no able to claim the money back
It’s the only Supermarket in in town that charges to use so will not shop at Sainsbury again
Click & Collect-Sainsbury's
There are often great deals available, and the purchasing process is generally straightforward. However, some staff members need further training in customer service. Our initial experience with online shopping for perishable goods wasn't satisfactory. We've since learned to avoid home delivery and opt for in-store collection instead. Collecting in person allows us to immediately assess the substitutes they may have chosen and reject them if necessary. On a positive note, their refund process is very quick and efficient.

Went to get a bit of shopping we usually go to Morrison's but as we were in the vicinity and had a voucher decided to go into Sainsbury's whst a mistake that was. Did the shop went to find a checkout only one open at 1600 hours on a Monday, ended up having to go through self scan that went very rong very quickly took 45 minutes to sort out absolute nightmare, Should have dumped the voucher in the bin and gone to Morrison's.
John, a kind and helpful person
John, a colleague in Thornhill Sainsburys went above and beyond expectations to help me find an item that was unavailable in this store. He searched on his phone for a while and found the item. I am so pleased and grateful for his assistance and would definitely recommend shopping at this store as everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Thank you John for making me happy and proud to shop at your store. A 5 star man in a 5 star 🌟✨store.
Sainsbury's Uxbridge
Sainsbury's Uxbridge
After visiting four different branches today to simply find and buy Bramley apple pies I was sorely disappointed with all four branches. Firstly I visited on a very busy day SATURDAY and found that the first three branches had no pies. Last ditch attempt Uxbridge, oh my, what a mistake!!! I thought I was in luck, they had 3 pies, one reduced and others due to expire 25/01 (tomorrow). So I took them to customer service and asked for them to be reduced as they only had ONE DAY life on them. Skip the cust service chap and asked for a manager, along comes Michelle (a comb, brush and clothing adjustments would've help her appearance to reflect her role), she said that they do not do early reductions, I've been to four Sainsbury's, I am visibly mobility challenged, no empathy for my struggle. She then said only in exceptional circumstances would they reduce the pies early. I asked her to check if there were anymore in stock, she replied no just what I had, so I said so in order to sell them and not waste them reduce them so I could purchase them, she refused, she said she would not reduce them until tomorrow and not before. I would've thought that seeing as they were the last two no stock until tomorrow maybe that this would qualify as special circumstances to be reduced early, she wouldn't budge. I said ok and started to leave, she then shouts 'ok thank you' in a snarky way, I carried on exiting the store as that kind of childishness does not garner a response from me.
I drove to M&S, their pies where all slightly damaged but had at least four days. Because all the remaining boxes were damaged I asked if they had anymore in the back but they didn't. Rather than disappoint a customer, the young lady asked me to wait a moment and her manager came over, he then said because they were all damaged he would reduce the two with the least amount of time remaining by 10% each. Now that is customer service which will entice me to revisit the store unlike Sainsbury's, thank goodness I can spend my Nectar points elsewhere.
I do not understand the behaviour of Michelle, she carried on as though she made those pies from the apples she grew in her orchard and milled the flour in her barn and pulverised wood chips to make the cardboard packaging!!!
Reducing your last two pies in a mega chain organisation is not something that would break them or is there something we the public don't know??!!!
Very concerning experience at Sainsbury’s Crayford.
There is an ongoing issue at the Crayford Sainsbury’s store with members of the online shopping team standing around chatting in the middle of aisles, leaving their oversized online trolleys blocking customers. These trolleys are significantly larger and heavier than normal customer trolleys and could cause serious injury if used recklessly.
At 06:00am, I had to move a blocking trolley myself as the staff member made no attempt to do so. I was then followed aggressively down another aisle by the same member of staff, appearing intent on colliding with me in retaliation. This made me feel threatened and unsafe.
Sainsbury’s promotes a zero-tolerance policy for customer aggression, which is entirely right, but where is the zero tolerance when staff behave aggressively towards customers for simply trying to shop?
I raised this with the manager on duty, but this appears to be a wider management issue. Staff have told me that when head office visits, extra staff are brought in and instructed to “look busy”, presenting a false picture. If head office wants the truth, they should visit unannounced, especially early on a Saturday morning, when this behaviour is clearly on display.
Customers should not feel intimidated, obstructed, or put at risk by staff. This store needs urgent attention from senior management.
Currency exchange in store service.
Currency Exchange In-Store Service
I ordered Kenyan shillings from the store before my trip. When I returned and tried to exchange the unspent currency, I was told that some of the notes couldn’t be processed, so the exchange couldn’t go ahead. I explained that I had originally purchased the shillings from Sainsbury’s, but I was advised to try my bank instead.

Sainsbury Northampton Six fields poor customer service
Sainsbury Northampton Six fields
I went into Sainsburys and I was looking for something and I asked a lady called Lauren if they could show me where the item was, they just pointed and said over there. I asked if they show me and she tutted and she didn't smile she looked annoyed and hurried to show me where the item was. She was not at at pleasant and her name was Lauren.
She really put me off and I thought I will not visit again!.
But after this a lovely lady in the clothing department and a lovely man at the till changed my mind they both wished me a happy Christmas and had excellent customer service.
Sainsbury's Oldbury
Went to Sainsbury's to use the Argos store to take a microwave back which was faulty and buy a meal for tea.my partner needed to use the ladies.had to use the ladies upstairs in the Oldbury branch.she came back down and explained how disgusting the toilet cubicles were, had to use another one because the first two she tried were left in a disgusting state.very upset how they were left in this state.
Doesn’t get better

You ring buzzer then wait 10 minutes for the items to come. Unfortunately once you’re in the queue if you load up before the person in front of you there’s no other option than to wait which is frustrating today took an additional 5 minutes not great shopping. Bays would be easier then once loaded you can move on .

For the last 12 months my partner kept telling me there security guard not British kept following her around ?this made her feel quite uncomfortable as he kept making it very obvious
She text me tonight saying it was happening again so I went in to the store and there he was about three meters away.I approached him quite politely and he pretended he couldn't understand, I ask to talk to his manager Lucy I explained the situation had been occurring for more than a year ? Her attitude was that she didn't care basically and smirked she looked rather ruff and didn't look like a manager at all.
Delivery van damaged my garage
At the end of September we had a delivery from Sainsbury's. The delivery van backed into our garage causing damage to guttering, slates and woodwork leaving the structure in a dangerous condition with loose slates near the entrance door and cascades of water from broken guttering where one walks. The driver must have noticed but left without saying anything.
I have spoken to a Sainsbury person and also their insurers but absolutely nothing has happened. The management person did say they were taking this seriously, but then referred to the damage to my vehicle - an indication of a total lack of real interest or understanding.
For a customer facing business in a very competitive business sector this is extraordinarily damaging reputation ruining behaviour.
Repeated delivery failure
The past two weeks, Sainsbury’s in Crawley have failed to deliver our order and have not committed to us at the time about the problem. It has taken me calling customer services for them to acknowledge the problem and the only options they gave were for us to come and collect from the store which is half an hour away or to have a refund which takes 5 days to process. No offer of any compensation on either occasion. We shall be changing supermarket having been loyal customers for decades.
Ordered 40 toiletry sets
Ordered 40 toiletry sets. Received delivery note this morning saying only 24 arriving. Customer services no help. Felt I should have been told they were unavailable. Arrived now and had to hand ball 24 single items not boxed or wrapped. Dreadful service.!!!!
