Please please please do not fall for this. A lady came with Mini and convinced me she can reduce the business rate and took £1800.00 from me and this was few months now, she disappeared till today and they don’t have a phone number and email you do not get any response. To all people who faced this issue, we need to find a way to complain to the MP and the government needs to do something with them before they scam more innocent and small businesses.

Scam company. Don’t waste your money. Full of empty promises and can’t get hold of them after you’ve paid. Promise you the world but deliver nothing.

Same as everyone else and cannot understand why this cannot be treated as fraud?! They cold called and arranged a meeting to sort out our business rates. After signing the VOA over to them , they have done nothing, cant phone them and they wont answer emails. Absolutely disgusted that a company can charge over £1000 for doing nothing and get away with it! Do not fall for them, they are a scam company. Just wish I read the reviews before I signed the paperwork.

Months and months of chasing with no reply and impossible to call them. Have done absolutely nothing to help other than stolen £1000!

Much the same as others are saying, they cold called my company and we arranged a meeting where we were told it was a clear cut case of getting a significant reduction. We paid their fee and then struggled to get any information from them and have not come close to a reduction. This was in 2022 and I still chase every now and then to no avail!

We are yet another company that has been scammed by this company. They give you a telephone number but do not have a telephone facility to speak to anyone. Taken over a thousand pound from us and done nothing.

AVOID *** AVOID and hold onto your money
They build up the possibility of saving your company money, when in my opinion, they intend to just take your money for no gain to you only financial gain to THEM. No response to emails within deadline times, they submit documents to VOA incorrectly (as per terrible review below), miss the deadline to re-submit which means entire process has to start again. No telephone number other than Victoria's mobile - who apparently still works for them and will get Colin to call. Utter joke! Do not be fooled.

I've given them the benefit of the doubt so you don't have to. Just avoid. Email from council - Notice of refusal – Challenge incomplete (C025). Zero communication after this. They can't even get the submission correct. A complete waste of time and money.

Absolute scam artists. As with all the other reviews (except the obvious ones written by the company!) take money then nothing. Saved me no money, will take years to break even. Avoid at all costs.

Having had a survey of our business done March 4th, they have still yet to enter the challenge on our business rates, despite me emailing them for the past 5 weeks since the check came back from the VOA. I will be very surprised if I ever hear back from them at this point, let alone save any money in the long run. Avoid.

Absolute scammers, they take your money very quickly, for us £995 up front, then won't answer a phone or email for months until they hit you with a follow up invoice for a "successful reduction" almost 1 year later!! But the reduction was a fraction of what was promised. We were assured by their "consultant" (who is completely un-contactable after they leave by the way) that we would now come below the rate relief threshold saving us thousands per year. But in reality its saved us less than £50 per month so it will take 2 years before we break even. An expensive and stressful waste of time. They have zero sympathy. Avoid like the plague! Trying not to swear...

Helped reduced my business rates and explained about the relief I was entitled too. This was applied after a consent form was submitted by Colin who was very helpful.

Have been contacted by Jackson Brown to give a quick review to which I have no problems doing.

Firstly Very thorough, looked around for a while as knew I needed some help. They came and seen me with no obligation to go ahead or sign up to anything. Answered all my questions, explained all the procedures. And after speaking with my wife and looking at all the info I was given we decided to go ahead. Best £995 I spent as I got enough of a discount to get small business relief. My rates have gone down by half and I couldn’t be happier.
These guys get a bit of bad press but my gamble paid off.
Would highly recommend.

Only issue I had was they are a bit hard to get hold of but was explained it was the end of the financial year and they were busy but that’s about it.

Would highly recommend Jackson Brown for a business rates appeal. Was quite skeptical at first due to past experience with another rates firm.
Spoken to a lady called Victoria over the phone who arranged for a free on site face to face assessment with an assessor named Jay. Jay explained how the company works and on which grounds she felt we could claim back a rebate and ongoing reduction. We decided to go ahead with this company as they didn't charge 50% commission like other companies we dealt with in the past, it was a reasonable 25% off just the first years savings only and a small surveyors fee. We was happy to learn few months after the appeal was lodged that our appeal had been successful and received and backdated rebate, as well as an on going reduction. Jackson Brown kept us updated on how the appeal process was going by email as we did at first struggle to get hold of them by phone. I looked forward to working with them again in the future.

Yet another application submitted by them that was rejected. Don't waste your money.
