A customer review

As a customer, JanSport does not live up to their Warrantee of lifetime replacement. I, Darin Perk... have tried on three occasions to get a bag replaced or even credit for a likeminded one. The last time I contacted them and warned them of a complaint, and they didn't even try to contact me for a resolution. I would not or no longer purchase their Bags until they live up to their warrantee standards.

JanSport sells poor quality backpacks…

JanSport sells poor quality backpacks under the disguise of lifetime warranty, but the lifetime warranty is actually just another poor quality backpack. So, it pretends lifetime warranty is a good quality product when in fact it’s just a lemon.

Would give half a star if possible

Would give half a star if possible. For starters - the bags and items are not made well at all. If it weren't for teens and their fomo of having a Jansport bag - no one would... Ordered a backpack for my middleschooler. Within 3 months (the second time this happened) the strap broke. She uses both, not one strap. So then we did the process of replacing the bag and that was like traversing the outback barefoot with only soda to drink. Unenjoyable and awful. Finally got a return (after I paid $25 to send a bag back and then chase their customer service to get a gift card. Upon receiving The e-gift card, it didn't work. So then I contacted Jansport customer service several different times. In the end, I still didn't get what I set out to get which was just a bag that works. Take care Jansport. Crappy products and crappy customer service where no one has been trained properly. That's management's fault.

Wrong item delivered

Don't trust the delivery times or expect good customer service

Ordered a bag August 25 expecting delivery within 4 working days as outlined. Bag arrived Sep 8, 11 working days later.

When I emailed customer service, the response stated "we know you're eager..." as if it was my fault to question where was the bag after it had gone beyond their own stated delivery terms. No acknowledgement that they had missed the delivery window.

100% would not order via their website again Amazon much more reliable. Product great but customer service appalling and genuinely, they don't seem to care which is a shame.

Likely scam

Ordered a backpack on 22nd august, got a notification email on 29th august saying it had been shipped and gave a link to track it. The link brings you into a completely unrelated website. Went onto the carrier website and put in the tracking number, says it’s not recognised. Seems to me like a scam, avoid!

Do not ship within stated timeframes

Said the backpack would be with us in 2-4 days. After 5 days it still hadn’t been dispatched. Since then it has been a further 4 days and still nothing. It isn’t going to arrive in time for the start of school. They shouldn’t have stated delivery times if they can’t meet them. It’s a disgrace

What an experience!?? Awful

This experience has made me so irritated.
In the beginning, I sent a backpack to the warranty department. It wasn't repairable. Jansport sent me an e-gift card to purchase a replacement item. Great! Not so much!
I haven't been able to use the card to purchase anything! There is NO spot, section for gift cards. Credit card information keeps bumping it out. Customer service was no help. They deemed my case resolved!? Today I thought, let's try old school. I called Jansport again. I spoke with Josi S. She was pleasant, upbeat, very kind, and understanding. I asked if I could place an order the phone, and explained why. She said, No problem. Order was all set, the e-gift card information wouldn't work for her either!? Hooray, I'm sane. But still no replacement for all of our hard work at trying. Contact Cashstar? (They supply the e-gift cards.... Nightmare, and headache.

Backpack repair

I sent my backpack in for zipper replacement for the second time and this time it came back with a note saying it was dirty and wasn't repaired. I contacted Jansport since their website didn't say anything about cleaning the backpack and they sent me a shipping label to return the pack with after it was cleaned. I cleaned the pack and sent it back and I received the pack back within a couple of weeks with two new zippers installed. Absolutely no issues with their service, just wish the website said to clean the pack first.

Useless

I’ve gone through two school bags in 2 and half years. The zips are always getting stuck in the protector thing and are practically impossible to fix. They deteriorate so fast and I’m sick of this stupid bag

Disgraceful Customer Service

I bought a bag from them and when I entered the address it autofilled to the first part of my address and the second part of my old address without me realising. When I saw it on the email I instantly contacted them and tried to change the address. They said it had been shipped but it hadn't and didn't ship for another week.
It got sent out and my friend tried to collect it but the store wouldn't let her collect it so it got sent back to the company. I thought I would get my refund. A month later and still no refund. Every email is some stupid generic response. You try to call them but you don't get through to anyone. It's driving me up the wall.

**Disappointed with JanSport and FedEx**

I ordered a JanSport backpack, but I still haven’t received it, and the experience has been incredibly disappointing. FedEx's delivery service has been dreadful, and on top of that, JanSport's customer service is non-existent. I've tried contacting them multiple times via email and phone (+44808 501 5528) with no response. Honestly, I wish I had never ordered from them in the first place. I've spent days chasing the parcel, both with FedEx and JanSport, and it's been a complete waste of time for a standard black backpack. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Disappointed.

My son’s backpack got a hole in the bottom. I emailed and they wrote about the warranty and that they would fix it or send me a gift card. I went to the post office and spent $12 to send it to them. They sent me an email that the backpack would be returned today. I opened the shipping bag and nothing had been fixed. They wrote, “Our warranty covers defective materials and workmanship only. Damage to your backpack (normal wear abrasion/hole) is not covered under warranty.” I am so disappointed with Jansport.

The carrier made a mess on the delivery.
Contacted JanSport's Customer Service by email.
Super quick respond and solution.
I am satisfied with both the product as well with the support done by Customers Service.

Damaged bag

Ordered a right bag . It arrived damaged now i need to pay £17 to return the bag . It cost me £49.99. The customer service phone number is never answered. Worst place to buy any product.
