They show you one sofa and deliver a completely different one with much lower quality. Regarding the financing, they say one thing but do something else entirely. There is everything here except honesty."
No one answers you after the purchase. You stay on hold for hours, and then everyone says, 'It's not my responsibility!

FRAUD! DISHONESTY! LIARS! CROOKS! THIEVES

FRAUD! DISHONESTY! LIARS! CROOKS! THIEVES are just few of the words that come to mind. Jerome's Furniture sold me a lemon leather couch. The couch is rarely used, has headrest covers, armrest covers, and a blanket on it, it is lightly/gently used in a home with two adults business professionals over 40. The color is coming off the couch, even in areas the body doesn't touch. I reached out to Jerome's and they ignored me and refused to help me. Leather products are not supposed to behave this way. I should know. I've owned leather couches my entire life. Today I receive an email telling me to go pound sand, that they won't help me, even though I was told over the phone that the couch is an "onion" and sometimes that happens in the manufacturing process and they would fix it. LIES! I will be following up with legal on this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND JEROME'S.

Buyer beware of Jerome’s in-house…

Buyer beware of Jerome’s in-house mattresses.

We were told by a Jerome’s salesperson that their store-brand mattress was equal to or better than a Sealy Posturepedic. We trusted that advice. It was a mistake.

Since purchasing it, both my wife and I now have persistent lower back pain and are seeking chiropractic care. Nothing else changed—only the mattress.

We didn’t buy the cheapest option. We invested in our home and relied on “expert” guidance. Instead, we feel misled and are paying for it physically.

A mattress affects your health. Don’t accept claims that don’t hold up in real life.

We purchased a matching couch and…

We purchased a matching couch and loveseat from Jerome's in San Marcos 15 months ago, barely 3 months past the 1 yr warranty. Granted, I should have brought it up before the 1 yr but in my defense, the issues didn't really become a noticably problem until after that. This patented seat foam is crap. The seat cushions have now depressed to the point you can feel the wood slats. The material on the footrests is all balled up and worn. The "Oops Protection" I bought is obviously just for stains or accidental damage so that was a waste of money. The warranty department said sorry but I can give you a number for a technician to give you a quote. We will never shop there again.

“Showroom Expectations vs. Delivery Reality”

Disappointing Delivery, Misleading Information, and Broken Trust

In September of 2025, I purchased a bedroom set from Jerome’s Furniture, and unfortunately the entire experience was extremely disappointing. The set that arrived was not the same as the one shown in the showroom. The color was wrong, the dresser had black paint spots on it, and the bed rails were made of a completely different material. Nothing matched what I was shown and promised.

For a company with this level of reputation, I expected much better. Jerome’s should ensure that customers receive exactly what they choose in the showroom and properly inspect items before delivery. Their lack of quality control and poor communication made this experience even more frustrating.

I also want to strongly warn customers about my experience with their “zero-interest” financing offer. When it came time to sign the paperwork, the terms were completely different from what I was told. What was presented as a zero-interest promotion would have ended up costing almost double if not paid off within 3 months. I felt misled, and I urge shoppers to read every detail carefully before signing anything.

On top of all this, the interactions I had with the salesperson, the customer care representative, and the supervisor, Mr. Rivera, left me feeling deceived and dismissed. Their explanations kept changing, and nothing they told me matched what actually happened. In my personal experience, their communication felt unreliable and misleading, which only added to my frustration.

After everything I went through, I strongly advise customers to be extremely cautious — I personally would not trust this store.

Tried to over charge me and now not delivery scheduled.

I went to Mission Valley to buy a hanging egg chair. the sales person who rang it up would not let me see the receipt at first. He just kept telling me he gave me a discount and to put my card in. I refused and then he showed me the receipt, but he kept quickly moving the curser all over the page so I could not read it. I told him to stop. then I saw I was paying more than the actual price. I left and went home and ordered it on line. However after I ordered it there was no delivery schedule. The next day I got an email that someone would contact me about delivery. 2 days later no contact, and when I try to contact customer service they ask for your zip code and transfer me to El Cajon Store where no one has ever answered the phone!

I am tired of being lied to from this…

I am tired of being lied to from this Jerome's furniture. The sales supervisor told me I'm getting exact rails of the bed I seen in the showroom of the store but they delivered thinner and cheap one instead. I've been waiting almost 4 weeks, but they don't want to fix this issue. Nothing but excuses and lies with different customer care peoples. This 3rd person who is regional manager said she will fix this and will call me back this week but no calls so far. She also said I will get $300 off delivery fee for the inconvenience they created but this has not happened yet. I am not happy with this company. I don't recommend to others either.

We purchased a queen size mattress

We purchased a queen size mattress, it was delivered along with a mattress protector we purchased at the same time. The delivery guys insisted on installing the protector for my wife. A couple weeks later we removed the mattress protector to wash it and found a stain that looked like rust and a tear in the same spot. Contacted Jerome's and they refused to replace the mattress because we didn't notify they with in 5 days. They keep telling us to get it repaired! Never doing business with this company again.

Jerome's Sux.

I wish I could upload a photo on Yelp of my recliner sofa from Jerome's. Yes, I also have the extended warranty, but 'Gabby' from their store said it was 'Normal wear & tear' On my Gray leather sofa, 'Mustang collection' the gray 'Leather' started wearing off at about 1 1/2 years, turning WHITE?? So you tell me Jerome that the process of using a 'Spray on' coloration over white 'Leather' is what leather does as in 'Wear & tear'. I have contacted Consumer Affairs for help & guidance. More to come, I'm just getting started.

I bought an expensive power reclining chair that failed to work after 14 months. Jerome's warranty expired at 12 months. So they said I was out of luck. Also, they do not offer repair service, even if you are willing to pay for it. So I am stuck with an expensive power recliner that does not work!

This store RIPS YOU OFF

This store RIPS YOU OFF. Bought what I thought was a leather sofa from them. Not even 2 years later, the “leather” starts flaking off. Come to find out what they lie & say is 100% leather is actually some bonded leather crap!! Don’t buy from this deceitful company. They’ve already paid out a class action lawsuit against them.

we bought $2200.00 worth of furniture from Jerome's Store on Morena Blvd.

# years ago we paid 2200.00 for living couch & loveseat Italian leather. Electric. It turned out to be from china and wasn't Italian leather. It was terrible. After fighting with them Betty said come down and we will give you new furniture, well we have had this furniture for 1 year and they put a zipper in the loveseat cushion that's for clothes and of course it broke. and all the pillows have feathers coming out of them. I think they are a dream mattress store now and Jerome's son took over. I want the zipper fixed in the loveseat as we paid you 2200. for this too.It was a couch & Loveseat & rug. You guys rip off everyone. You changed your name from Jerome's Furniture ro "jerome's worse mattress in thee world. Plus you get all your stuff from China..your family never made the furniture!. I will leave you bad feedback everywhere I can until my love is fixed. Christopher & Dianna Rottner in San Diego, Ca. 92110 (Morena Store)

We purchased a table and chairs 2 years ago along with the extended warranty. We liked the set very much. Recently, 2 of the chairs started cracking and wearing away at the corners. We filed a claim and the guarantee was denied. Very disappointing.

Buy your mattress elsewhere!

If you are in the market for a new mattress, do not go to Jeromes. There is no sleep trial or returns allowed. With some haggling, they might let you exchange for an exorbitant 25% restocking fee. You can't reach their corporate offices as I tried to on three separate occasions sitting on hold for an hour each time before the system hangs up on you. Additionally, the customer service representatives at the store do not identify themselves when calling and overall were very unprofessional to deal with making promises that were not kept much like car salesmen.

My story with them is as follows. I wanted to get a firmer mattress and came upon their opulence firm mattress in their showroom which reads firm on the display. It seemed comfortable at the time but the one I had delivered to my home felt like sleeping on a boulder. I returned to tell them I had made a mistake and discovered that this mattress in reality is an extra firm mattress which is hidden at the bottom of the mattress and only visible if it is lifted out of the displayed bed frame. They outright refused to even consider an exchange until I had given the mattress at least 30 days time to be broken in. So after 30 very uncomfortable sleepless nights, they finally allowed me an exchange with a $280 restocking fee.

Bottom line: Don't waste your time and buy your mattress elsewhere!
