If I could give no star I would, waited ages for my order, should have been garden ready, arrived very late, to late to flower properly this year, poor packaging, many died, do not answer the phone, and take 5 weeks to answer an email inquiry, and then do not respond, at every level terrible.
Waste of money !
Plants supplied were thin and scrawny in an incredibly small soil plug , the carrier Hermes seems to have had
fun with them . Most of the begonia plants had come out the black tray all had sustained some damage all that be salvaged were the undamaged remain of each.Not suitable to go in the garden .I took pity on them put them in the greenhouse .
Jumbled up poorly developed plants sent late
I was so very disappointed with both the plants and the abysmal service supplied by this company. I waited a month and called them to see where my plants were. They told me they would be another 2 weeks. They didn't come, so called again. They said they'd be another 4 weeks. Some arrived but others didn't, without explanation. Said they'd be another 2 weeks. The last batch arrived a full 2.5 months after I ordered them. Some of the plants were jumbled up in a box, with many of them damaged. They called them jumbo plants. But they were really very small. None of them are close to flowering even yet.
Once upon a time this was a good company - Alas no longer!
Have used them for a few years and previously found them very good - both the product quality and the service.
This year I'm afraid I have found the opposite in terms of service. Whilst we all appreciate the difficulties caused by the covid pandemic, I do feel they could have done more to communicate effectively and to auto msg customers waiting for overdue orders placed months earlier.
Also this year the compost provided was woefully inadequate and would no way fill more than a couple of medium baskets. Plants so far seem OK but time will tell.
Notice they are using feefo as their preferred review engine - itself rather dodgy if you rear reviews about it.
My negative feedback was followed up by a telephone call from them apologising but attempting to blame all problems on Covid pandemic.
In fact this company has for me exceeded the boundary of acceptable practice and although using them repeatedly in the past without problem, I will now NOT be going back. There are plenty of alternatives.
very very disappointed
ordered 70 "ready" begonia sparkle late march they arrived april 3rd i repotted them 24 hours later, did everything right to get them growing on even though they say "ready" plants can go straight into the ground.
they haven't grown at all now in july there not much bigger than when they arrived,up to now i've 31 out of 70 left. and they will not all survive, never again jersey plants.
Plants arrived in very poor condition
Plants arrived in very poor condition . Two were tipped out of containers and were dead and I watered the rest which were pretty dry . Most had broken flowers , leaves , and stalks . These plants are not particularly cheap and I'm not pleased . Won't be back .
"AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE"
In April I responded to the ad for 2 types of Tom.Plants -I tried to establish delivery of plants and got a response 3 weeks later -in the meantime plants had arrived - but this was 2 packs of same variety -not what I wanted. The plants were disgusting - leggy. spindly things. 2 plants were broken, 1 had a miserable pair of leaves 6inches from the base, another only 2inches tall the remainder were sick pathetic plants (photos available) --these were supposed to be Super "Jumbo Plants". Customer service offered refund or substitute plants - I opted for the latter only to be told 2 days later they were out of stock!
This is the worst experience ever --DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE LOGO!

ONLY 1 BOX FROM 8 BOXES WERE IN PERFECT CONDITION THE NEXT 4 WERE A DISGRACE THEY REPLACED THEM AND THEY WERE A MESS IN THE BOX ALL BROKEN THE NEXT BOX WAS JUST A PILE OF DUST THEY HAD NOT WATERED THEM FOR THE JOURNEY WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY I GIVE UP NEVER AGAIN. I ONLY GO TO LOCAL NURSERIES NOW CHEAPER IN THE LONG RUN.THEY USED TO BE A RELIABLE COMPANY THEY NEED NEW STAFF AND DELIVERY COMPANY OR JUST GIVE UP.

Not happy the plants had no root system and were all dead and wilted when they arrived ,, now all dead except 6 £45 pound and it disgusting that people can con people like it.

Took a long while to get 'jumbo' Cosmos and Lobelia delivered: fair enough, Covid effect, I thought. When first pack arrived months late (payment having been taken immediately on order) , the plants were leggy, badly packed and out of their trays, so I emailed to cx second batch. These turned up several days later in a similar state. I emailed the Company with photos as I was sure their quality control would be dissatisfied. No response. Shall not be re-ordering. I note, I am one of many.
The reality is far from the promise!
I’ve used Jersey Plants Direct several times before and their products have always been first rate. However, this year I was really disappointed. I ordered four sparkle hanging baskets and they turned up largely with the plants broken and we’re all pretty scrawny. One basket had just two small plants in it leaving about 1/3rd of it as bare soil.
Maybe it is just a glitch with the prevailing circumstances, but the products weren’t great and definitely not what I’ve come to expect.

Took over 6 weeks to dispatch my plants. Wouldn’t let me cancel my order when I got fed up waiting saying they were already in transit. But the tracking info I received stated the courier didn’t receive my package for several days after I had been told they were ‘in transit’
When my jumbo tomato plants arrived I wouldn’t class them as Jumbo. They were probably the correct height but looked spindly, as if they had been forced.

I prviously left a very negative review of this company. Since that time I have been contacted by them and offered either vouchers for a future pruchase at a rate above that which I paid or a full refund. I choe the refund and that was back on my card within a couple of days. So slow after sales service but it got there in the end. The product was unsatisfactory and I would hesitate to use the company again.

Ordered 170 geranium plug plants. I am experienced at pricking out and bringing on these tiny plants. On this occasion many of the plants did not develop properly and have slowly been shrivelling and dying off. Lost about half of the plants. Not only a waste of money to purchase, but I have spent many, many hours trying to grow these plants to a viable size to plant out in the garden.
I wrote to Jersey Plants to let them know the problems I had been having. They emailed back and offered me £4.99 back ( about 20% of purchase price). They said they had similar complaints from other customers, so it definitely was not my handling of the plants which caused them not to grow and die.
I did not agree with this amount of compensation and asked for £16 to buy more plants locally. They have very rudely ignored me since even though I have emailed twice.
I am hugely disappointed and shocked by this company. The poor quality of their plants and disgusting customer service. In future I am going to buy all my plants locally.

Will never use these again plants I ordered not in good condition a lot were more like plug plants which I did not order very fragile ! And out of 70 geranium plants iv not got one in flower yet very disappointed .

Don't use these people to order plants. They send them out using the slowest method which means your plants will more than likely arrive dead. Then when you contact them they refuse refunds and ignore emails. Save yourself the hassle.

I have now had three orders arrive with the plants in pieces. I had an initial couple of orders that were in reasonable condition but these are useless. I’ve waited patiently for the plants and as I can’t venture out was delighted to be able to order.
Will not be ordering from them again, far too inadequate packaging for the harsh handling the couriers have given them
Waste of money
Finally order is complete but won’t touch this company again. Like others ordered nearly 2months ago. Lavender bushes arrived, good bushes but seriously overpriced for their size (about 4”). Jumbo plants arrived and had been substituted for another kind without any prior communication as to whether such an action was acceptable to me. Last lot of tomato plants arrived today. Jumbo plants - each was one weak, straggly convoluted stem which had to be handled with extreme care - about 4-5” long than wouldn’t have been out of place in the discounted plants section of any gardening supermarket.

This is obo of my brother ..who has used jpd on many occasions ..he has had a bad experience this year ..ordered tomato plants . Phoned to ask when they Will arrive to be told that he had already received them ..he advised that he had not received them to be told that they had been signed for I understand that we are inndiifucukt times ..however my brother would not lie for the sake of a few plants ..and for the on going success I would have thought that the benefit of doubt would kick in for the sake of future orders and good reputation ..I feel that jersey plants have let themselves down
