The hand held fan is amazing
The hand held fan is amazing! It was such a treat wandering around the Cheltenham branch before we bought it - there are too many tempting things to buy - well done John Lewis! The fan has been picked out as the no 1 hand held fan this summer in the Times newspaper! 🙂

Sale, Delivery and installation of new Sony bravia 9
1) Arrived on time, installed it.
But I was informed that this latest Sony Bravia 9 65in TV did not have an optical plug to connect to my Bose soundbar. I was told to get a HDMI Lead.
Sceptical, I had a good look at the ( complicated) back panel and sure enough THERE WAS a plug hole marked optical.
2) There was a SONY pre order incentive of a £300 cashback and a free smaller TV J Lewis that the salesman showed me.
But when the sales invoice and confirmation came there was no mention of it.
Took a while for them to put it right

Delivery men refused to take the packaging from my item back for recycling, although it states this is what they'd do.
I called c/s who advised i would have to pay for this 'service' although it doesn't state this anywhere on my order. Although I called ahead to advise of the several flights of stairs in our home, I ended up carrying part of my order up my stairs. They pushed one part of my order up my newly painted stairs instead of lifting it up although there were two of them. Very unprofessional from John Lewis..I expect better.

Bought a coffee machine
Bought a coffee machine. Broke after 3 months. It’s on a ‘repair guarantee’ which means they take 2 weeks to mend it. Essentially useless because what are you meant to do for 2 weeks. The point of John Lewis is the guarantee. Now realise the guarantee is useless

The third floor cafe in John Lewis…
The third floor cafe in John Lewis Cambridge is no longer run by John Lewis apparently. The first time we visited following the change I was told about the change and that they will no longer be scanning my partnership card. However, the second time we went my friend who paid was asked for her partnership card. It’s mostly run by very young folks who have no idea. The range of foods and cakes available has greatly reduced. Previously my husbands bacon brioche contained 4 rashers of bacon. Now brioche are no longer available, you just get a dry white bap and two rashers of bacon. Poor quality and quantity

bought Laura Mercer foundation reduced at JL Solihull... as it was the only one and couldn't find any testers/concession counter or anyone to serve/ask. Bought it and am happy with purchase but would have been helpful if more assistants available.

I always love shopping in John Lewis
I always love shopping in John Lewis, the products and service are a cut above the rest. I recently went to the estee lauder counter in Cardiff store and was helped by the most wonderful lady. I should have taken her name as she was really brilliant. I needed an eyebrow pencil and she took the same to help me choose the right shade and ensured that it suited my coloring. She was super helpful with other products too so am really grateful for her wonderful service
