My daughter had her ears pierced here; it was a big deal to her, she was very excited about finally having them done. The lady who did the piercing was delightful; professional in every respect and upbeat. We felt like we were treated as valued customers by her. However, what spoilt the occasion somewhat for us was the unwelcoming and brusque manner of the other worker in the shop, as if we'd caused her offence somehow. I don't believe I've ever experienced anything like that before now, and it's certainly not the kind of behaviour I would expect. Pity, because if it hadn't been for that, I would have happily given a 5* rating.

Use this quite often. Bought a necklace and Nomination braclets and charms. A few weeks ago had to take the wife's Tag watch for adjustment done straight away. Then last week I thought my Tag needed a new battery, they took it away to fit one but on doing it they said the battery was ok so gave the inside a blow out. Its going perfect now.

Put my engagement ring in for repair before Christmas,got it back today the girl that served me today was so nice. I can’t say anything good about the management.

Always love coming to the shop! Such a friendly welcoming environment. My engagement ring was from elsewhere due to it being a surprise but we for our wedding rings made here. I have also had my engagement ring repaired here, and have had both my engagement ring and wedding ring rhodium plated recently and the results are always amazing. I also got my wedding jewellery from the shop. Always my go to jewellers, and I will be back soon to 'upgrade' my engagement ring.

Lesley and the team are always fantastic when I go into the shop. They custom made my engagement ring exactly how I wanted it, it’s stunning and so unique. They also have made my wedding ring and most of my other jewellery. Couldn’t recommend them enough!!

Outstanding customer service! Went in with a piece of old family jewellery in need of repair. Not particularly valuable, but completely sentimental to myself. Was given many suggestions & talked through each stage so I could make an informed decision.

I bought my girlfriend, come fiancée, now wife’s engagement ring from John McKay Jewellers. Staff at the store were extremely helpful in helping me with my specific requirements, and helped me find the most pristine diamond (proven ethically sourced) and platinum band which was perfect and just what I was looking for for the perfect marriage proposal. Prior to this I had numerous pieces of jewellery repaired by John McKay’ Jewellers where they were always able to mend the pieces.

Lesley in the shop has no manners at all .When I went in to the shop to say the stone had fell out my ring well the whole setting actually .She asked me if I had got it out her shop just as well I had the wedding ring on to go with the set .When I went to pick my ring up she was horrible said she didn’t send receipt out in emails even tho I had the email on my phone . To cut a long story short she was just horrible definitely won’t be back .But must say the other staff were all lovely just a shame it puts me of going back because of her .

My family have been using John McKay jewellers for over 10 years. Always a warm friendly reception when you enter and always leave with a smile on your face. I would not use another jewellery shop. For me it's always John Mckays.
