Used my local Johnson’s Self Service Wash facility to launder and dry a Duvet. Very easy to understand and operate. Opted for the stain remover and sanitiser. Quilt came out lovely, clean and fresh... See more

Visited the Sleaford Branch at 0830 this morning. Although we didn't need any assistance as we were just there to print a photo the lady behind the counter offered her assistance should we need it and was incredibly friendly and chatted to my son about his day. It was a lady with short grey hair. Very friendly and happy. Great service. Than you.

I sent in my rab down coat for dry cleaning and it basically went flat and lost some of it's down. It went in for a tech report and just got handed back to me saying it wasn't their fault and to send it back to rab. So poor and an expensive coat ruined.

Visited the Sleaford Branch for ID photos. The lady who dealt with me and my brother was friendly and managed our sense of humour well. Very efficient and done and dusted in I'm sure was record time. Went through the process with us on how to use them online aswell.

Johnsons - Malton branch.
So I took in a jacket for repair and a duvet to be cleaned on 13th Jan and was told I’d get a text message when the duvet was ready and a text with a price for the jacket.
No communication that week so telephoned on 18th Jan and spoke to someone who was clearly stressed and told me the duvet was ready and was told it’ll take atleast 3 weeks to get a cost which is a bit much. Anyhow I went and collected the duvet on 20th and happy with it and I mentioned the coat repair and she said she was meeting with the seamstress on 21st and I’d get a call, surprise surprise no call. I just want the coat back now and take it to somewhere I trust.

The lady who did the most excellent work on my window seat cushions was Hazel.
I cannot believe the quality of her work.
I would have thrown the covers out but Hazel resurrected them and now they've got a whole new life.
Absolutely thrilled to bit. Thank you so much.

Do not use this company!!! At the start of December 2024 I took a dress I have had dry cleaned numerous times before (with zero issues) to this branch. It came back to me with completely frazzled and miscolored feathers on the cuffs. I immediately returned it to the cleaning hub on 15th Dec for 'inspection' and the staff at the hub admitted it looked damaged. This has taken weeks and no contact (I have had to complain to receive any notice). Finally they have come back to me today on 9th January, trying to state no damage whilst simultaneously placing blame for any damage on the manufacturing of the dress and the retailer.
Sorry but this is completely unacceptable findings. It is YOUR dry cleaning company that is responsible for the damage to these feathers. This is nothing to do with the manufacturing of the dress by the retailer and the dress is usually perfectly fine after dry cleans! There has very obviously been too high heat used on the feathers by your team and that has frazzled them, leading to frayed edges and loss of colour. This is a shoddy attempt to misplace blame to a clearly damaged dress - after weeks of messing me around with poor communication. I have requested to escalate this complaint. Avoid avoid avoid this company like the plague.

I needed two suits and one suede jacket cleaned after they had been in storage for a while.
I went to Johnsons cleaners in Amesbury where they were extremely helpful.
I dropped the items off on Thursday and was advised it may take up to a week as the suede jacket was a specialist item.
However, on the Monday I received a text saying all 3 items were ready for collection.
Super quick friendly service.
The staff really know their stuff!

I visited Johnsons branch in Manchester Altrincham today to pick a delivery, and lady member of staff who served me was extremely rude, I really don’t know the reason why she behaved in this way except she thought I have the wrong skin colour. Really upsetting.

Dear Johnsons, I thank you for your reply, however you will never be able to deliver the duvet to this customer because the customer has been told in writing that the NEWBURY branch has lost it. They have also lost the customer's records, no record of the cash payment either. It's as if the lady never came into the shop. The Newbury branch has caused a great deal of trouble and suffering for this poor couple, which is unforgivable. I understand the lady has been offered an amount of money, however this amount is not sufficient to be able to buy a replacement item, which costs rather more. Given the disgraceful situation, I would publicly recommend that no member of the public goes into your Newbury branch because they stand to lose both their item and their cash. This branch should not be trading and needs to be urgently inspected. Please do so right away. Thank you.

Where do I start? These ladies are simply amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, they go the absolute extra mile and provide a 5 star service. Recently I visited the store when I was very ill and couldn’t manage to take my dry cleaning to the car. They jumped to action, took my keys and clothes off me and helped me. They didn’t need to do that. But they did. And their work is fantastic. 5 stars? Not enough in my opinion!

After my home was flooded I took 2 sets of curtains to be cleaned by Johnson’s in Waitrose in Ampthill.
When they were returned to me they had decorative buttons missing off of the curtains and other buttons were loosened. Some of the linings were undone and in my opinion the curtains did not look particularly clean.
I received a phone call from the manager at Johnson’s who was not particularly sympathetic. She offered to dry clean them again but I refused as I was unhappy with the first result. The missing buttons had been found and she agreed to have those sewn back on as well as the linings.
I have had the curtains returned, buttons and linings stitched. Linings have not been stitched properly and are coming undone. Some of the weights from the linings are missing. The cost to have this service was £202.50!
I requested a refund, the manager stated that the curtains had been repaired and cleaned and therefore the service had been completed. I was offered vouchers which I refused.
I am appalled at the level of incompetence and indifference shown to me and I would advise anyone considering using Johnson’s to do their due

Customer Service in Wilmslow has gone!
Collected my cleaning in Wilmslow this morning, greeted by a stern faced, unhappy looking member of staff, Anthony. I attempted a cheery ‘good morning’,gave my name and said “green bag collection please”.
He replied, “what do you mean? Dry cleaning, pressing, repairs….we have a whole range of services?”
I could not believe how he spoke to a customer…again, no smile, eye contact and a very clear message of ‘I don’t want to be here’.
Which is fine….as I don’t need to go back to Johnsons, with so many competitors in the area. However, you need to sort this problem, as this is not the first time I have experienced this individuals attitude, just the first time I have taken time to say a final farewell!

Totally underwhelmed by Johnson's (we'll take you to the cleaners) in Stroud. My large curtain had lining that was very marked with dirt and dust. To be fair, the staff member did say it would be difficult to get the lining completely clean but I couldn't see any difference at all.
It cost £52.
I can probably get a better result by cleaning it with warm soapy water and a scrubbing brush.
Is it unrealistic to expect some hand finishing on a curtain that cost £52 to clean?
Are the machines at Johnson's just old and not fit for purpose?

So I took 2 pairs of curtains to be dry cleaned at our Kirkcaldy store within Asda. Lesley did explain to me that there was a very small risk that some of the metal eyelets may become detached during cleaning. Unluckily for me this happened but I did manage to get them repaired locally for a small price. Without asking, I received a letter from head office offering a full refund for the cleaning as well as 2 items cleaned free of charge. What a breath of fresh air for a company to look after paying customers in this manner, fantastic service and Lesley at the Kirkcaldy shop went above and beyond in terms of customer satisfaction...well done Johnsons 👏👏

I have used Johnson’s for a while now via our local Waitrose branch (Caversham). Their plastic hangers have ‘please return to be re-used’ stamped on them so we duly returned a bundle to the store. A Waitrose employee told us that Johnson’s don’t actually reuse the hangers - they put them straight into the bin. As they’re black plastic they can’t even be recycled. This is incredibly disappointing and I will not be using them again.

Excellent dry cleaners on Leeds Road, Harrogate, offering an extensive range of services including photo processing. Staff couldn't be more helpful, very friendly and efficient, and nothing was too much trouble.
