Problem solved in no time

Ben arrived at the time of the appointment, knew exactly how to fix the door and explained the adjusting mechanism. All completed in a very professional and friendly way.

Poor Quality

After living in two previous new-build properties by other developers, my experience with Jones Homes has been significantly worse. The volume of issues has been far higher than expected, and several remain unresolved even after 18 months.

Drainage is a recurring problem that continues to affect the downstairs toilet. Although it’s been “fixed” multiple times, the issue keeps returning, pointing to a deeper design or installation fault rather than a one-off blockage.

The home audio system has not worked since move-in. The aerial appears to have been installed in an inaccessible location, and despite this being a clear installation issue, it has effectively been left unresolved without explanation.

The external doors are marketed as “Secure by Design,” however the required 3-star barrel locks have not been fitted. This is a basic security expectation and should not be overlooked. I’d assume this is intentional for cost saving. This is an obvious omission for those that know however it does raise a serious question on how many other omissions have been made in less obvious areas of the property.

There are numerous other snags beyond these examples. Overall, the quality of workmanship and the approach to resolving issues fall well below what I would expect from a new-build home, especially with a premium price tag.

Strongly suggest avoiding this developer, unless you want disappointment.

Jones homes are planning to build on…

Jones homes are planning to build on land off if Windyhill, bolton.
They have been very selective as to who they inform of their plans with not one single resident of winterfield drive (which us planned to be the only access road into the site) having been informed.
Verbal abuse and bulling tactics have been made to local residents damage to property to the extent of causing distress and mental anguish to several of the women who are on their own during the day.
Despite planning not yet being approved work has commenced on the site, which begs the question of what are planning department doing.
Easter period for local residents has been totally disrupted but this I feel us by design as Jones's know there will be no officials working during this time ...only Jones builders

Very disappointed in the after service…

Very disappointed in the after service - lots of broken promises of work to be done - now 5 months into new house and still chasing for work to be completed. Feels like once you have completed then they aren’t concerned about the aftercare. All the issues have put a real downer on our dream house.

Wonderful service

We’ve only had minor issues to be fixed after purchasing our home but of the issues that needed attention, Ben and Martin who came to fix them were nothing short of brilliant. They are respectful of your house and do the job to an excellent standard making sure to fully brief you with the work carried out. I’ve always been so impressed whenever they have visited they really are a credit

The sales team and after sales…

The sales team and after sales technicians were excellent throughout. Any small problems were dealt with promptly and efficiently. All people I spoke to were helpful and friendly spending time explaining and rectifying if necessary before and after moving in.

‘Our forever home ‘
We recently moved into our beautiful new home after months of anxiety about selling our existing house.
Right from the start, looking around the show homes, our Sales Agent on site , Julie, was very supportive and went above and beyond to reassure and guide us throughout the process, in such a friendly and professional manner.
On the day we actually moved in she was there to greet and welcome us despite our delayed arrival to pick up the keys. She continues to advise us , and point us to the right people to sort out any issues as they arise. All the people on site are so courteous and willing to help, and whenever we have needed to contact Head office or Customer Care, they are very professional and quick to address our queries . All in all , buying a new home with Jones homes has been a very positive experience, and while there are a few snagging problems, the whole team has done their best to put them right as quickly as possible, helping us settle in to our ‘forever home.’!

Please think twice before purchasing with Jones

Please think twice before purchasing from this company. Everything is brilliant and kind pre purchase you get in your house are left with 100s of snags and ongoing issues, end up getting work done yourself to try and get them done as the time and effort you have to try and get anything resolved once they leave site is awful. Customer services for Lancashire are appalling, they deny, lie, drag out issues. They have now caused further issues to our property on adapting the road and deny responsibility and lie about works carried out leaving us with another issue that will cost us £100s to fix. Once they have your money they soon become unhelpful. I would advise thinking twice before purchasing a property through them, the stress that comes with it really isn’t worth it. As you can see on here the 30% of 1 star ratings are asked to contact customer services to discuss further but these are the people who take weeks to respond and are no help in getting issued fix instead try to pass blame. Escalation process and formal complaints are none existent they don’t get past customer services no matter how many times you ask. Absolutely diabolical

Where can I start….

Where can I start….. Jones home have been fantastic throughout, we absolutely love the house and the kids and myself have settled in well. We purchased on sunfield in Wilmslow and the house is fantastic. Charlie (on the site) has been so accommodating and everything has been dealt with pretty much the same day.

I have to make a special mention to Julie (the site office) she has been amazing and is an absolute credit to the jones home team. I’ve purchased a few new builds and she has to be my favourite sales person, I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Our buying journey hasn’t been the easiest and to be honest, if it wasn’t for Julie, I would have pulled the plug due to the stress of selling our previous home but she has provided the best support from start to finish and has gone above and beyond, every step of the way.

Thank you to everybody for making our dream home become reality xx

Amazing customer service and product quality

Really helpful customer service team, they are amazing, they really went above and beyond to help me with my house purchase. The house itself is beautiful and feels high quality, with ongoing excellent after sale support. The Jones homes team appear to genuinely care, reflected in the high standards in the product and the practice of people who work there.

So helpful staff

From start to finish all the staff were a pleasure to communicate with and kept us well informed of ongoing process nothing was too much trouble for them. Even after moving in site staff were all very helpful and cant thank them all enough for making our journey so successful.
