I recently moved out of an apartment…

I recently moved out of an apartment there trying there best not to give me my deposit back or money from electric meter that goes to landlord .best thing about it is there trying to bill me for state flat was in when i moved in .in october last year .very incompetent at dealing with things after you move out .its like they have no intention of giving you your money back im owed over £900 its been going on over a month now i will never let a property from these again .disgusting property management 👎👎👎👎👎

Couldn’t recommend the service from the…

Couldn’t recommend the service from the entire team at Jordan and Halstead enough, especially Sara who has been amazing. Great communication every time. If I’ve ever needed anything she has been straight back to me. Really helpful.

Serious Management Shortcomings – Landlord Beware

My mother has been a landlord using Jordan & Halstead for several years, and her experience over the last tenancy was extremely disappointing. Communication from the agency was poor and often delayed, which created unnecessary stress and confusion. Requests that should have been actioned promptly, such as serving notice and following up on tenant issues, were repeatedly mishandled, requiring my mother and family members to intervene personally.

Despite these challenges, the company eventually acknowledged their errors, issued apologies, and refunded management fees. However, the process highlighted serious shortcomings in their property management, including inconsistent documentation, lack of proper escalation, and insufficient oversight of tenancy issues.

While internal changes have reportedly been implemented, this experience demonstrates that landlords may need to be proactive and persistent to ensure their property and interests are properly managed. We hope Jordan & Halstead improve their service for future landlords, as the standard during this tenancy fell far below what one would reasonably expect.

Avoid At All Costs!

I would give zero stars if I could!
I have dealt with many estate agents but I can honestly say my experience as a landlord with Jordan & Halstead was by far the worst of my entire life.
The first two years were okay but then the person managing my property left, at the same time as I was getting new tenants, and from thereon in it was a nightmare. A property rental manager who would tell me she was very experienced, who was extremely difficult to contact, and acted as if the house belonged to her, not me!
When the house was let at the start of this tenancy it had been freshly decorated and all appliances were in full working order including the boiler and the garden was well tended to. What was returned to me was a house with visual evidence of damp in every room, holes drilled into walls, a broken hob, a central heating boiler that wasn't working and an unrecognisable garden. The garden aside, which you could not avoid seeing, nothing else had been reported to me. Even the said property manager herself said it was unrecognisable and looked like a completely different house to the one that had been let out!
As a rental property manager, I think it's reasonable to expect that person (especially when they have repeatedly told you they have years of experience) to understand how the Tenants Deposit Scheme (TDS) works, this person didn't. Due to the extent of the damage to my property, I asked to be involved in the submission process to the TDS I was told that wasn't possible, when I asked why I was told it's just the way it is, and I shouldn't get involved as it may affect my case, which wasn't correct, the property manager just wasn't aware of how the process works. Eventually I did contact the TDS and was advised what I had been told was complete nonsense, but by then it was too late for my claim. Consequently, I lost a lot of money because of her inability to submit the claim correctly and her lack of knowledge.
When I complained about the service I had received and the damage to my property Jordan & Halstead refused to accept any responsibility for what had happened.

My advice is to avoid at all costs. Personally I wouldn't trust them to put my bins out!

Jordan and halstead Worst Organization I have were seen

Worst Organization I have were seen. Since last 1year their was a change in the Maintenance department, which is been handled by "wgestateagents" they never pick your calls and if you raise a ticket No response at all for months together. When you raise a ticket not even an acknowledgment that you have raised a ticket very worst management. Try to avoid this company else you will entering into hell lot of issues with them.

We used Jordan & Halstead Frodsham Fantastic

We used Jordan & Halstead, Frodsham to sell our property. Cannot fault the whole experience. We sold in a great time scale for a price we were happy with. Perfect.

The team, led by Christie are unbelievably good. Great communication, clear, friendly and efficient.

Lewis deserves a mention for his incredible communication skills. Great to have him on our side. Faultless.

If you choose the Frodsham team uou will be in safe hands. An enjoyable experience.

Not very transparent

Not very transparent. You raise a concern - and no one can provide you with a manager contact and no one gets back and when one does , does not follow it through or provide an update. They do not like putting anything in writing. Customer service is poor even breaching element of GDPR and if you are a tenant threaten you with homelessness and talked over by the member of the team that threatened you in the first place. Even though there is lack of engagement and communication on their part there is no one to escalate and they still will not provide the directors email. Really appalling service. Just causing unnecessary distress and upset.

Excellent Service

I have just purchased a property through Jordan and Halstead and was assisted by Layla. From start to finish of the entire process she offered a friendly and professional service. So much so that this is what made me decide to now place my property with them to find a tenant and full management service. First class service from start to finish and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Be aware you might not get your deposit…

Be aware you might not get your deposit back ! Cowboy estate agents !
This estate agency / letting management firm was all good initially in letting the property. But when you vacate property communication is zero . I was told to vacate property 5 days prior to my tenancy ending . I was advised the the inspector would attend at 2pm and I waiting in to ensure a smooth transition. The property was cleaned to an immaculate standard. No one turned up and a report came in stating additional cleaning required and faults which I proved were on original inventory. No communication and clearly just trying to retain deposit.

They have the worst management I've…

They have the worst management I've ever seen. As a tenant, I asked them to fix the water pipe because we had no water in the house, but they said they would come the next day and the next day they said they would come two days later as a joke. Think about whether someone can stay at home for four days without any water. It's a shame for your company

Would highly reccommend JH. Layla, Pippa and the Middlewich team were amazing from valuation through to the sale of my late father in laws house. They were professional, genuine and showed great empathy throughout.

If o could give avoid, avoid , avoid!! this company zero stars…

If o could give this company zero stars I would! What a greedy, unhelpful ride company to deal with! Because of their slow responses on absolutely everything o lost thousands of pounds due to waiting for a fire risk assessment to be done which was promised to me daily but never materialised , all checks out of date , and my buyer was sick of waiting so had to drop the price , they’ve caused me unbelievable stress and anxiety to the point of making me ill , I’m going to take this further as I’ve lost so much money . Avoid if you value your sanity !

No communication

As a tenant, we have been consistently ignored around various outstanding issues including basics such as central heating/hot water. We have asked for an escalation point to find a solution and again, no response. Last resort having to post on Trust Pilot. Experience to date, awful.

Not management Not management but mismanagement.They currently manage a property in

They currently manage a property in Chester for me. However they take their payments in spite of very poor service for me & for my tenant. I have given full details of need to carry out an electrical safety report & replace a faulty cooker but two months later these matters have not been managed . Other problems have not been attended to and as far as I can ascertain the tenant’s request to bring a puppy into the house has not been answered, although I have responded to the agent & asked them to pass my comments to the tenants with a request for more information.
The agent is causing me needless anxiety & the delay is most unhelpful for the tenant. Today I have made more than four attempts to reach the management team but they are “attending to other customers!” As they were days ago when I yet again tried to find out what they had put in place.
Avoid this firm if you value your tenants & business.

Used this company for full management…

Used this company for full management service on a rental property - allowed tenant to use property as HMO and despite checks on property did not notice this or inform me. Failed to take correct deposit from tenant leaving me with a huge bill to make house habitable again. Taken to the property ombudsman and fined for being negligent. Would not recommend them at all
