15 years ago I bought engineered flooring from Istoria/Jordan Andrews. That floor has been completely amazing and dealt with 15 years of life….so recently I ordered flooring from Istoria again for a new back extension and a loft conversion. I ordered character grade whiskey to be laid in Herringbone. Vincent and Stavros have been so lovely to deal with all throughout the process. The guys that fitted the floor,
Eddison and Ibrahim, were a pleasure to have in the house - kind, courteous, and most importantly did an excellent and very neat job. Before ordering the floor I compared A LOT of different products from various flooring companies - the engineered flooring from Istoria was unquestionably higher in quality. I truly recommend this company. You will get a high-end product, fitted beautifully, and you will not regret spending a bit more on something that’ll last for a very very long time.

Thoroughly recommend! The team were super helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process, sending samples and answering questions promptly. The install team were really professional and did a fantastic job. The flooring looks really high quality and really happy with the results!

Istoria/Jordan Andrews made us some oak floors for our kitchen and living room in a herringbone style, and we also made use of their team for installation. Couldn't recommend them enough! Really beautiful wood that was installed to a high standard with friendly and professional staff. Very pleased with the final product - the final touches (fittings around radiator pipes, chamfers, etc) set everything off perfectly. We opted for sound-proofing underlay, which was good value and has made our downstairs neighbour very happy! We think it has probably added value to our property too, which is a bonus. It was always easy to communicate with the office (we worked with Ruta who was fantastic), which was great. Hope you like them too!

Absolutely love our floor, it is stunning. Showroom is so helpful when choosing color and style, installation team was excellent. There was a snag during our project, but they handled the problem and delivered a perfect floor in the end. I always recommend Istoria to friends looking for floor recs.

The team at Jordan Andrews were helpful, responsive and flexible throughout the process of our choosing and ordering, and then the installation of the floor. The floor was installed to a high standard, and looks just as good as we'd hoped.

Couldn't recommend more highly. Stavros and the team at Crouch End were super helpful through the board selection process, with no hard sell and gave good advice on how this could be installed to not only assure the quality but also improve the look and feel of the room. We visited several different outfits when selecting our wooden flooring supplier and not only did Jordan Andrews offer the most customisation options, they provided a personal touch and the flooring is manufactured right here in London. Don't install a feature floor without visiting Jordan Andrews!

George was very helpful when I placed my order on the telephone and - I was a returning customer - found the details of my previous order very quickly. This was important as I wanted to continue the present work using the same shade and quality of flooring as I'd purchased a few years ago.

Fantastic local company with a personal touch. Used Jordan Andrews for a second time as they have a wide selection of flooring. The service was fantastic with Stavros even coming out to do a humidity test prior to floor being fitted by our builder. We’ve had our other wooden floor from them for almost 10 years and still looks like new.

Wonderful service from Jordan Andrews starting with advice on choosing the right flooring for our home, to Emile and his team's expert laying of the floor. We wanted a natural-looking parquet floor and after Ruta patiently helped us look at endless samples and photos of other floors they have laid, we've ended up with exactly what we wanted.

I recently replaced an engineered wood floor in my apartment because of faulty installation by the developer with a new one supplied by ISTORIA WOOD FLOORS BY JORDAN ANDREWS. I had a nightmare experience with this shop. To begin with, two weeks prior the works began I had chosen a prime engineered floor of a beautiful pinkish colour in this shop for which I paid in full around £5000. I had been repeatedly reassured by Jeni and Stavros, sales representatives at Crouch End branch, that there had been a sufficient stock of this floor and I could rest assured that the floor would be delivered as expected. The works were scheduled to start on February 2nd, the delivery was requested on February 1st, again I had been in touch with the shop every other day to confirm delivery details. On February 1st, I received a call from Jeni saying that they in fact did not have the floor I ordered or to be precise they had it in character grade. They tried to offer me larger planks of a similar floor for no extra cost, although I was very specific about the floor base and the size of planks I wanted. Anyway, I agreed to proceed with a character grade floor, but the real nightmare began when planks arrived on site. What I received did not qualify for a character grade by any stretch of imagination. The planks I received were bent like bananas, they were poorly treated, colour was not consistent throughout the batch, some planks had patchy areas of discoloration, some were very dark, let alone the colour was not even close to the pinkish one I was after when I was buying the floor. On top of that, the width of planks varied which resulted in larger gaps between some planks, but this only came about when the fitters started installing the floor. All planks were full of massive knots which would qualify a rustic grade at best but what was even more frustrating some of the knots were not filled. My fitters were genuinely disappointed having had to work with a product of such poor quality. I had to pay extra for filling knots and multiple chips.
As much as I wanted, I simply could not move floor works because of availability of my fitters and some other works undergoing in the apartment, so I had no choice but proceed with what the shop sent. To be fair, the shop agreed to replace nearly 50% of planks. I had to go through the pile of wood floor to check each plank myself which was frustrating, time consuming, and totally unnecessary would they have had any quality control in place. The shop proudly boasts about a huge workshop in Crouch End producing the floor, what a joke of a place!
I repeatedly invited shop’s representatives to attend my flat to see what they sent to me and to bring the samples of the floor they sold to me to compare with the end product, but they did not bother to come back to me on that. On top of that, the floor shop never apologised for their total failure let alone they offered no compensation. They did give me a 10% discount for a lesser grade of the floor, but it does not make up for the horrible experience and awful quality of the floor. By the way, Stavros was pushing for much smaller discount, it was me who insisted on at least 10% expecting that I would receive a character grade, but what I received had no grade, it was a pile of firewood. I am now left with the floor which looks even worse than my old floor and I absolutely hate it. Already thinking about replacing it.
I personally would recommend STAYING AWAY from ISTORIA WOOD FLOORS BY JORDAN ANDREWS. Spare yourself big disappointment, frustration, and potentially loss of money.
P. S. I was hoping that the shop would use this opportunity to apologies but it is clear from their response that they are not learning from experience. I could straighten few facts, because their recollection of events is not very accurate, but I am leaving it with them. My review will absolutely stand and it is my opinion that people should think twice before they walk through the door of your shop.

This flooring company, Jordan Andrews/Isteria Wood Floors, sold me almost £5000 worth of character grade wood, and instead supplied a lesser grade of wood.

They say that character grade wood is covered in knots, but that is not my professional experience of years as I have always used character grade and was very happy with having a few knots. However, nothing prepared me to the countless knots found in the wood supplied by this company. They have offered me a discount, which was not a genuine discount.

I'm an interior designer and a photographer. I have done up a few properties from scratch and I have never come across this before. My contractors, who are also highly qualified carpenters and professionals of the highest calibre, were shocked when they started to install the wood. They were so alarmed that they stopped the job until I saw the low quality of wood the company supplied.

I then spoke to the company who said we would have to install the floor and they would fix the problem later. But this was not possible as the knots were so many and so dark that nothing could have changed the fact that, the wood they sold me was not the wood I bought based on big board samples.

I have tried to resolve this issue for the past 8 months without any reply or after-sale support. I had other serious problems and concerns with this company, such as they delivered someone else’s wood to the building site and were three days late to deliver my wood. I have returned the unused wood, which they said they would refund, but never replied or kept their word.

I have called the Consumer Ombudsman, and they asked me to give the company a chance to resolve the issue, but no movement was made in that direction from the owner. Today I called the company again, and Jordan, the owner, answered the phone and in no time started to shout at me when I was trying to explain my point with respect.

The most important reason to write this review is to inform customers so they can make informed choices. We are made to pay for the wood prior to any inspection whatsoever. I wish I thought twice before paying all that money without having better guarantees in place.

I wanted to note my appreciation of the time and effort and attention to detail that went into the design of our new kitchen. The colour, look and finish is excellent. The service that we have had is over and above what we expected and are extremely grateful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone looking for a new kitchen and flooring.
