🔴 Title: Buyer Beware — Contradictory Return Policies, Misleading Claims, and Refusal to Refund

I had an incredibly frustrating and dishonest experience with Joylot, and I feel obligated to warn others.

I ordered contact lenses from Joylot and returned them after discovering the product was defective — but only upon opening the sealed blister packs and attempting to wear the lenses. Which, by the way, is the only way to determine if lenses are defective.

However, Joylot refused my refund, citing their policy that “opened boxes are not eligible.”

Let me be clear:
You cannot test contact lenses without opening them. Their policy is not only contradictory — it’s impossible to comply with if you’re trying to return a defective product in good faith.

🌀 The “30-Day Hassle-Free Return” Is Misleading

Their website boldly promotes a “30-day hassle-free return policy”, but once you dig deeper, you’ll find caveats buried in fine print that make it virtually useless — especially for medical products like contact lenses.

When I reached out to customer service, I was even asked if the box was expired. I responded honestly:
“I didn’t check because I trusted your company to send me a valid, non-expired product.”
That shouldn’t be a trick question.

📦 USPS Return: Lost in Transit, Zero Support

As for the return, USPS tracking shows the package is in transit limbo. While it’s true Joylot may not have received it yet, their complete lack of empathy, support, or proactive solutions while this unfolds has been deeply disappointing.

I followed every return instruction to the letter, including scanning it in at USPS. The package shows as in transit but has stopped updating — even though USPS confirmed it was insured. Still, Joylot refuses to issue a refund, even after 12+ days and counting.

🚩 False Manufacturer Claims

Here’s what really concerns me:

⚠️ Joylot is not an authorized distributor or seller.

I contacted the actual manufacturer (Johnson & Johnson), who confirmed in writing that Joylot is not on their list of approved sellers.

Yet, Joylot’s customer service falsely claimed they “work closely with the manufacturer” and that all items are inspected before sale — which Johnson & Johnson directly contradicted.

In fact, J&J immediately offered to refund me themselves after I provided proof of purchase — a step the seller should have taken.

🧩 Contradictions Everywhere

Joylot’s policies are confusing, contradictory, and stacked against the buyer.

While they loudly advertise:

“If you are not completely satisfied with your order, you have 30 days to return, no questions asked!”

…if you scroll all the way to the bottom, buried in fine print inside a tab within a tab, you’ll find a mess of return policy clauses — the length of a football field — that contradict the main promise and make it nearly impossible to return anything, not just contact lenses.

It feels deliberate.

❗ Bottom Line:

Joylot’s policies are structured to protect themselves — not the customer.
They misrepresent their connection with manufacturers, bury contradictory policies behind flashy marketing, and refuse refunds even when the product is defective and the return process was followed properly.

I’m leaving this review to help others read the fine print and be extremely cautious before placing an order with this seller

Buyer Beware READ EVERYTHING

Buyer Beware — Contradictory Return Policies, Misleading Claims, and Refusal to Refund

I had an incredibly frustrating and dishonest experience with Joylot and feel obligated to warn others.

I ordered a product that turned out to be defective. When I attempted to return it, I followed all instructions exactly — including scanning the return at USPS, which shows proof of return. But once the package stopped tracking (even though USPS confirmed it’s insured), Joylot refused my refund, claiming they hadn’t received it — even after 12 days and counting.

📌 Here’s what really concerns me:

⚠️ Joylot is not an authorized seller

I contacted the actual manufacturer (Johnson & Johnson), who confirmed in writing that Joylot is not on their list of approved sellers. Yet, Joylot’s customer service falsely claimed they “work closely with the manufacturer” and that all items are inspected before sale — which J&J directly contradicted.

In fact, Johnson & Johnson immediately offered to refund me themselves after I provided proof of purchase — a step the seller should have taken.

🔁 Contradictory Return Policies

Joylot’s return policies are confusing and contradictory. While they boldly advertise a 30-Day “No Hassle” Return Policy, the fine print hidden under multiple tabs includes:
• “Returns must be unopened”
• “Returns are allowed if defective”
• “You must contact us for a return label”
• “We do not accept returns on opened items”
• “If opened and defective, contact the manufacturer, not us”
• “You must return within 30 days, but we can reject your return if not tracked”
• “All returned items are subject to approval”

Their policies contradict each other at every level. It’s designed to confuse buyers, deter valid returns, and make the process so unclear that they can easily deny responsibility.

🛑 A Pattern of Delay and Deflection

Despite me doing my part — scanning the package, contacting USPS, and even providing the manufacturer’s offer to reimburse — Joylot has:
• Denied my refund
• Blamed stalled USPS tracking
• Claimed false partnerships
• Ignored the fact that they have both the product AND my money

It feels like they are deliberately trying to run out the 30-day refund window by stalling.

💡 My Message to Future Buyers:

This is NOT a company that honors its own policies or values its customers.

Stick to platforms like Amazon or eBay, where you get refunded once your return is scanned. Joylot’s behavior shows a complete lack of integrity and disregard for consumer trust. And just because a manufacturer steps in to do the right thing doesn’t erase Joylot’s accountability.

📸 Evidence I’ve Collected (and will share with PayPal & BBB):
• Emails from the manufacturer confirming Joylot is unauthorized
• Screenshots of Joylot’s misleading return policies
• Joylot’s email falsely claiming manufacturer relationships
• USPS scan showing proof of return
• Manufacturer’s email offering a full refund and apology

Do your research — avoid Joylot.
They are not trustworthy.
They use misleading tactics to avoid refunds and shift blame.
