This is horrendous device

This is horrendous device, I'm on my my 2nd coffee grinder within 18 months 😢 and the motor has failed again.

Product not fit for purpose and…

Product not fit for purpose and Terrible customer service!! I bought the Manual Brewer, it broke on the first use. I emailed customer service nearly 2 months ago with follow up emails and still not action from them!!

Refund or replacement wanted!

Ordered the Barisieur as a Christmas present, it worked well for a couple of weeks but then the heating pad failed to turn off which resulted in it melting. Sent photos to the company and asked for a return label but I’m still waiting for any response from the company. Now I see that the company is in liquidation! So that’s my £260 down the drain!!

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service! I ordered this as a Christmas present and never received it, I asked for a refund and all they kept saying was it’s been dispatched, I still haven’t received it 2 months later or a refund, now they just seem to be ignoring all communication. Definitely don’t order from this company because you’re likely to not receive your order or a refund!

Would give zero if it were possible

Would give zero if it were possible. I bought a coffee grinder for my husbands Christmas. Worked twice and then stopped working. Contacted customer service and was asked to send in a video of the fault. Have yet to hear back from them! I have sent 3 further emails and I haven’t had a response from any! I was willing to take their advice on a replacement but now I don’t want the product at all if this is how the company deals with problems.
Unfortunately will have to take this further.

Returned a product

Returned a product, sent tracking details to customer service as they'd requested. Product was delivered and signed for 14/01/25, no refund and no response from customer service despite multiple emails. No response from customer service now for over two weeks and no number to call.

Unfortunately, you can't trust these products

Tl;Dr - This company knows about major issues with their products, sells them anyway and refuses to solve or provide accommodating returns. Avoid at all cost, there are plenty other much better products out there.

I bought the Groove Compact™ in November 2024 after looking for a cost effective burr grinder.

For the first few weeks it worked fine... Just enough time to pass the "no fuss return" policy.

However, it soon started to fail on me, starting to grind and then getting stuck.

When I emailed directly and asked for support, they instantly directed me to share a video of me charging it and said "then we'll be able to tell you what the issue is" - so they clearly know about charging issues.

After a more detailed search on "charging issues Groove Compact, joy resolve" I found lots of complaints, issues and even a letter from the founder explaining that they were aware of the issue... This letter was over a year ago.

They're a small company, so probably have a tonne of stock their sitting on looking to sell - but that issues doesn't help you the consumer, nor the planet were on as were stuck with poorly made and unsupported products that don't do what they were built to.

I can only assume the same business practices extend to other products sold by them.

Avoid at all costs.

At a complete loss

Update: it has now been a month since they last wrote back to me.

I am at a complete loss with this company, I hate writing bad reviews, I’d rather write nothing, but it’s the only way I got a response from them last time, I asked for a return 3 weeks ago (faulty machine and within the 14 days, I don’t want another because of the literal mental torture of the order/delivery process) they took a week to come back to me, asked me to send them a video of the issue…. Surely this can be tested when they receive the return? I asked politely again to just provide me with details of how to return, that was 2 weeks ago and despite 3 follow ups, I have still had no contact. I have no idea what to do, the excuse is always “a small team”…. I get that but it isn’t my fault…. I literally have no idea what to do, a lot of money for a machine that doesn’t work properly and not a customer service person in sight!

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Pre-ordered the Barisieur grande. Website said expected 15th December and next day delivery. It didn't arrive until 23 December. It was too late by then as I bought it for a birthday present. Sent the item back and provided proof of postage on 7th January. Last communication from customer service on 9th January, saying they will check if the returned item had arrived. Haven't heard anything since, no refunds received, a couple of emails sent to chase it up but no response. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Avoid Their Crowdfunding Like The Plague

Would not ever recommended supporting this company, especially through Kickstarter, Indegogo, or any other crowdfunding service. Terrible, non responsive customer service. I was a backer of their newest product, the Bariseur Grande. After years of delay after delay, the company decided they just weren't going to produce that model for the American market anymore. Instead they thought it would be appropriate to try and pawn off their remaining stock of the original Bari 1.0 which was conveniently discontinued right around the same time this was announced to backers. It appears that they used their North American backers to subsidize the production of the European model and then hung all the North American backers out to dry when it was all over. Scummy company that does not care about its customers.

Poor customer service & impossible to contact

Ordered a Clear Brew Moka pot and it doesn’t work as advertised. I emailed them and sent them a message on instagram with no response. It’s impossible to get in touch with them and of course time is ticking for the returns period. Definitely will not be ordering from this company again, and would strongly advise anyone else to avoid buying their products.

Lovely company to deal with

I recently ordered from this company in an extremely busy period.
Unfortunately my item was out of stock, i managed to get in touch with the owner of the business and he resolved the matter quickly.
Himself and his team were very efficient and helpful.
I would recommend this growing company for their personable communication and obviously their great products.

Can only speak as I find

Can only speak as I find. I’m not on “their payroll”

I’ve placed orders for various bits of their kit in recent months. My last order was for their “Grande” At time of placing order”was told clearly” will not be delivered till late December. You know what? End of December? Just received and email saying my purchase (as they said from the onset… will be dispatched in next 48 hours. Previous kit I bought, I had questions… not problems.. just questions. Back up has been great. A small firm, not many in the team? Sometimes maybe things take a little longer. But me (once again) not on the payroll… just giving feedback on my own experience.

Awful customer service - promised so much !!

Still waiting for mine, well overdue and depsite emailing them I've had nil response? I need it for Christmas aargh!! Awful customer service and will be asking for a refund probably through my Credit Card company

Terrible customer service, subscription discount codes don’t work and they don’t deliver what you’ve even paid for.

As this is a uk based company and they sell my favourite coffee I was excited to order from them. As well as the slow despatch times (which I can live with) I found none of the subscription discount codes advertised on their checkout page actually work. After emailing them several times and not getting a response I gave up and decided to buy bigger quantities. Again I wanted to support local. Unfortunately when I ordered two and paid for two), I only got one order. Despite writing 2 emails I’ve still had no response. Extremely poor customer service so now I’ll be going elsewhere and paying more but at least I get what I paid for.

Very poor

Very poor; advertise same day dispatch but do not. No customer support and 4 days after order they say they now do not have the item in stock. Tried contacting but no response; would avoid.

Hi Richard, I understand your frustration and can only apologise for being understaffed and had delays with our pre-orders getting to our warehouses. If you are referring to the Black grinder there was an issue with the stock counting on the warehouse side which meant it was left in stock on the website. We apologise and hopefully, we can swap for the white grinder If not we can of course refund you no problem.

Ordered 6/12, still not arrived

I ordered the bariseur 2 as a Christmas present for my husband and it has still not arrived. I emailed the company 2 days ago, no response. To add insult to injury the company keep sending me emails containing hints and tips for my wonderful new machine which I still don’t have. It’s now probably too late to get it elsewhere. Huge disappointment.

Advertised as next day delivery

Advertised as next day delivery, but a week later not even despatched. No reply from their customer service. Their website still says next day delivery!

Re: the reply below, I did NOT order a Barisieur 2.0, I ordered a Barisieur which still says next day delivery on the website. I did NOT order a black Grinder and I haven't received any emails from you.
