Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the product quality and the overall user experience, frequently encountering issues with the technology and the app functionality. Customers often reported that their devices, particularly TVs, were slow, froze, or constantly needed to be reset, making them frustrating to use. Some people were satisfied with the picture quality of their JVC TVs, and a few also mentioned that connecting soundbars or gaming consoles was easy. However, the dominant sentiment indicates significant problems with product reliability and performance.

JVC IS C**P

I am so glad I found this review site, and like so many other people I have found JVC to be the most stupid
“smart TV’” on the planet , it is like the film Groundhog Day. Because every single day I have to reconnect to the Wi-Fi or turn the TV off and on again until it realises it’s supposed to be smart this TV was a [no cost]replacement for the original 39 inch JVC which after just six months had a big black line running from north to south on the screen the second one is as useless as the first never ever buy JVC it is a pile of S***

I bought the jvc tv for bedroom and i foynd set up easy but then i experienced it switching off and on when i changed channels only to see it come back on with the original channel showing which made me apprensive to change channels again. I looked for issue fixs on internet and did all i could to fix issue but ir never changed and continues to turn off and on. I would turn away from buying any jvc electronics as they are problematic slow and very unreliable do not buy jvc thete not good even when cheap.

Bought a JVC 43 inch smart TV almost two years ago.

Picture quality over the past month has detoriated rapidly. It's constantly freezing or buffering. I have tried everything recommended online but it only last a couple of days and back to poor picture quality again. For the sake of an extra €70 or so, stick to LG, I've learned my lesson. All other TVs in the house are LG and have never given any trouble.

If I could put less than 1* I would

If I could put less than 1* I would. JVC are hands down THE WORST TV’s for picture quality, sound, and use-ability. Can’t stress enough how bad they are. Avoid at all costs.

Absolute rubbish TV

Absolute rubbish TV! Constantly disconnects and it is so slow! To cap it all I bought a JVC soundbar at the same time, if i turn it on it interferes with the TV!!! Other TV is a Samsung and it is fantastic, this one is going in the bin. On the upside I have some JVC wireless headphones and they work quite well!

I came here to see if I was the only one experiencing issues with my JVC smart TV. But I came to see that almost everyone else has the same issues. Tv was probably only fine a few weeks when we bought it, but eventually it literally stopped working. TV barely switches on by itself, have to plug in and out every time I try to turn it on as well as wait a decade for it to start up. Stops working even when you’re watching something and doesn’t let you press any options on remote. Most apps don’t work on it, Netflix is probably the only compatible app. Every other app glitches and freezes. Wouldn’t even mind not like we have it on all day because we work full time, so not like it’s being over used and what’s why it’s happening. How can you sell tv’s that barely work 🤣

JVC used to be a name of quality…

JVC used to be a name of quality products. Alas, now it's utter rubbish. JVC fire TV is the worst excuse for a TV I've ever experienced. The sound and picture quality is good and it looks good too. That's where the good points end. It takes ages to switch on and then usually just switches itself off or freezes. It struggles to open apps and you wait and wait and wait.. then it just crashes back to main menu. If you want to watch terrestrial TV then switching over to it takes five or ten minutes and that no exaggeration. The TV schedule thingy usually doesn't work or takes ages to load and then you realise it's showing Wednesday's TV schedule and you're watching it on Saturday. I think Amazon fire software is a lot to blame as my fire stick is useless too though not quite as bad as this. Don't waste your money on these, I'm sure there's better TVs out there for similar money.

Terrible!

Believe all the bad reviews. Bought a 24" smart TV for my bedroom. Spend most of the time looking at the screen waiting for something to happen( that's what I'm doing now actually so decided to write a review especially as I don't seem to be the only one suffering) It wasn't too bad initially, although Bluetooth connection was never good and I did want a bluetooth connection) but gradually gone downhill over 2 years. Should have stuck with Sony or LG, or Hisense - all of which are fit for purpose. I honestly can't believe it is so bad and that's why I still have, it waiting to be proved wrong. I am such an optimist.

If the purpose of a Tv is to watch TV…

If the purpose of a Tv is to watch TV then don’t buy a JVC ( perhaps this could be a jingle?) , I have two, nothing but internet glitches constantly , they don’t recognise WiFi even when they say they are connected. Full factory reset doesn’t correct. Nothing but frustration, even leaves ISP providers confused, ultimately you won’t get your Netflix or YouTube etc, you will spend hours messing with the settings and feeling like you want to scream. Don’t waste your money and time, TV should be frustrating free ,not a hassle there is enough stress in life/, if they can’t get internet TV right when we’re increasing forced to use it, what’s the point of buying JVC. Best to buy something better like LG or Sony even if it costs a little bit more.

1 *is to much! I would never recommend this brand to anyone!
Poor quality, doesn’t work, switching channels can take up to 5min sometimes. I might as well have put my money to light a bomb fire it would have been more worth while. You get absolutely nothing for your money. Not worth even considering!!!! My Nintendo from the 90s works better then then this!

Some time ago I was foolish enough to buy a JVC 55" TV set. It was always a problem to access the internet as a software glitch prevented a code being typed correctly. On contacting JVC customer support , they told me this set was not manufactured by them, and they could not offer any help. So why do they put what was once a respected name on a piece of junk that will not access the internet. This machine has caused a lot of frustration, and now only a few years old it is looking for a dustbin. How can a manufacturer be allowed to put their name on an item and then wash their hands of all responsibility. Needless to say , I will not consider buying this brand again.
