My 2-part Chorus loves this piece and the beauty it brings to vocal singing. Our school has a theme every year, and this year is "Learning is in Our Nature", so the lyrical content of this piece is perfect. But more than that, this octavo explores the process of creating sounds to mimic nature, like winds noises (we added wind chimes) and the hooting of the owl. The harmonies are easy enough for for my Elementary Chorus (Gr. 4-6), yet exquisite enough to enchant the older choruses. Great job, Mark Burrows!
