Cancelled just before wedding
I never imagined I would be writing a post like this, but after weeks of trying to resolve this privately, I feel I have no choice but to share our experience.
Just three weeks before my daughter's wedding in France, Katy Webb Photography cancelled her booking. She was initially offered a replacement photographer whose style was completely different from the one she had booked. When that arrangement didn't materialise, another substitute was suggested. By then, we had completely lost confidence that the original contract could be fulfilled and had to find a new photographer ourselves at very short notice.
We had paid well over 3000 euros in advance.
Since then, my daughter has repeatedly tried to resolve the matter amicably. The only repayment proposal we received was a small amount per month over the next few years, with a condition that she signed a non-disclosure agreement. She did not feel that was a fair or reasonable resolution.
As she has been unable to reach an agreement, our solicitors have now formally written seeking repayment of the outstanding balance.
This post is not written out of anger. It is simply a factual account of our experience and our hope that this matter can finally be resolved professionally. Should a full refund be made, I will be equally happy to update everyone to say so.
I sincerely hope we can bring this to a fair conclusion.
