False Adverts and Unprofessional/Hostile Conduct

A review of Kensington Estates, High Street Kensington, London, W14 8QZ

On 20/10/2020 I enquired about a parking space advertised by Kensington Estates on a development in London.

Upon enquiry, I was advised the space was only available to existing residents of the development.

This limitation was not stated anywhere in the advert.

Kensington Estates then attempted to present other spaces in a different location.

After advising them the advert was misleading and suggested an amendment, Kensington Estates became defensive, hostile and unprofessional.

An apology and a correction of the error is what a reasonable person would expect from a professional business. This was not forthcoming.

Based on their defensiveness and lack of action, it appears this advert may well have been created to deliberately mislead, with the sole purpose to capture enquiries, as a gateway for less appealing spaces to then be offered.

After a follow up phone call in an attempt to raise the complaint once again, the management team again refused to accept this feedback and becoming hostile, and ending the call prematurely.

Following the request to amend the advert as of 21/10/2020, this remains unchanged.

Furthermore, based on other reviews, it appears the firm has a pattern of being unable to handle critical feedback, responding instead with hostility and personal insults, rather than addressing the specific matter at hand in a calm, rational and professional manner.

By way of example, this is apparent in the firms response to critical Google Reviews, in one instance, going as far as to share a data subjects mobile number (personal data) publicly which is an offence under the UK Data Protection Law/GDPR

Indeed, this issue appears to come from the management team and remains wholly unacceptable.

Disappointing, and certainly not recommended.
