Key Conveyancing was brilliant for the the process of the purchase of my first house. Innocent and Ellie were brilliant at keeping me informed with everything I needed to know. Would definitely recommend!

We recently purchased a house using Key Conveyancing Solicitors, recommended by the estate agents we purchased from. Karis was an absolute saint throughout! We ran into some difficulties with the Estate agents multiple times throughout the purchase and Karis was on hand at every stage to offer advice and take over some of the communication for us. Karis was responsive and always one step ahead, meaning there was very little for us to do other than wait for her instruction. We called and emailed occasionally for updates (mainly from the sellers solicitors dragging their heels) but never had to chase Karis once! As soon as she had information, she shared it with us and explained everything thoroughly. I would sincerely recommend anyone looking for a conveyancing solicitor to use Karis. Thank you so much for helping us and being so lovely to communicate with throughout :)

Very good experience with key conveyancing. Always at the end of the phone which was very much appreciated especially as there were a lot of complications with the buyers. Always reassuring and answering emails promptly. A special shout out to Sienna, very patient and polite at all times.

Although I am the recipient of an equity transfer and not the client I know that I also speak on behalf of my ex husband in saying that this service was shockingly slow and inefficient (Kettering branch).

Despite a court order stating that I should be paid the equity transfer by a specific date and despite all documents having been in place for several months they did not seem to care about this fact at all. Very unprofessional and definitely would not recommend.

When moving house, I had no hesitation in selecting Key Conveyancing as my preferred solicitors. I was assigned to Olivia as my personal solicitor and straight away I found that she was very helpful and passed a lot of information to me to help me get started. It was also helpful just dealing with one person. The fees for the service were very competitive and soon I was sent documentation outlining the expected fees for my sale and purchase which was very helpful for me to budget.
Throughout the process Olivia kept me informed of the progress of the sale and she was able to deal with any queries that I had. She usually replied to my e-mails very quickly, usually within the hour. This enabled the whole process to be completed within the expected timetable.
I found dealing with Key Conveyancing very straightforward including the ability to process many of the documents needed electronically - which greatly speeded up the process and enabled editing when needed at a later date. Having now exchanged contracts and looking forward to moving I can truly say I found the whole process highly satisfactory. This is the second time I have used Key and I can I thoroughly recommend them.

Thoroughly unimpressed.

They got a really efficient department focused on getting your business, and then it just goes downhill.

The only reason they get two stars and not one, is that the deal for my house finally went through, but it took NINE MONTHS of constant frustration.

On a couple of occasions their representatives outright lied to me, or simply didn’t know basic conveyancing process. The latter of course seems unlikely.

They made basic maths mistakes in documentation.

They repeatedly ignored my emails, questions and requests.

Nothing ever happened unless I phoned them to push issues.

They charged me for things they shouldn’t have, and then it took over two months to get the money back, while they simply blamed everyone else and acted like they were doing me a favour. In the end I had to instigate their complaints process with a view to reporting them to the regulator before I got the money back.

Based on my experience with they, I’d suggest steering well clear.

Fantastic service from beginning to end. We were kept informed through the entire process even when the chain collapsed, this just spurred the team on to get things moving even quicker. Angie was friendly and quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommended.

If you have a straight forward sale or purchase then the use of a specialist conveyancing firm can be a good choice. By the nature of their specialisation it means that cost will be lower and they should know what they are doing.
We had no problems with them (and don't forget unless you live near an office you will never see them) but always had the feelings that we were the driving force. Yes things progressed and got done but there was always the feeling of what would have happened if I hadn't made that phone call or email.
But overall no complaints really and if you have the confidence to not have to sit face to face with someone we would have no hesitation in recommending.

The sale of our property was complicated as it was leasehold and we do not live in the UK. Jess looked after us and kept us updated at all times. It was excellent service and we strongly recommend Key.
