How difficult is it to have subtitles…

How difficult is it to have subtitles in English as well?

I would really like to understand. There are so very few plays in English so we waited almost 6 months to find a play we could see but eventually went to see Don Juans Inferno which was in Italian and with only Danish subtitles. Why?

Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in the Royal Theatre.

Unfortunately, our text system at the Old Stage only allows for subtitles in one language. However, we provide subtitles for all operas at the Opera House in both Danish and English.
