Samanthi Perera is one of the best solicitors I have ever met at KLR Solicitors. She does her job very well, and she is very professional. She answers inquiries every time you ask her. She is the best, and I give her five stars.

On the whole a good experience, Shaadya in particular was very helpful with navigating the complexities of a first time purchase with Theekshana for support.
I had a couple of issues with response times which lead to some very stressful interactions with the estate agent, but this resolved with input from 'Homey'.
I also had some issues with the final bill and was overcharged by £1.5k which was very stressful, and also had an issue with stamp duty not being paid to HMRC (despite my having paid it to KLR). The result was me receiving a threatening letter from HMRC saying I owed them stamp duty plus a fine plus interest. It turned out KLR had missed paying this, they sucsequently sent the payment and paid the penalty/interest.
Both issues were resolved quickly once I highlighted them.

I have been in the process of selling my property with a very awkward buyer

Theekshana Fernando was my case handler. He kept a very calm head during this process with this difficult other Party if it wasn’t for him, on the end of the phone to answer all my questions and help us try and get over the line. I don’t think anybody else would have been so patient with the other parties solicitor so I thank him for that 😊 I would definitely use KLR again.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Kept me informed with regular contact with the sale of my property. Theekshana was very good and always dealt with my questions very quickly.

Theekshana was very efficient and friendly and kept me in the loop throughout despite hold ups on the other side.

Preeya was knowledgeable and helpful, offering some valuable insights into the context of a case like mine based on her professional experience. I would not hesitate to instruct her and recommend this firm on responsiveness, customer service and professional expertise.

Positives:
- The phone is always quickly answered by a human.
- The manner of the staff is polite.
- The costs are reasonable.

Negatives:
- I agreed to pay for the fast track service which seemed to speed things up initially, but when the deadline was missed we felt as though efforts to push the sale through reverted to a relaxed pace and left me chasing all parties. At least they did not make the mistake of leaving the fast track charge on the bill.
- Legitimate late queries were raised by our buyers which could have been pre-empted by KLR if they had scrutinised our submissions more carefully.
- We were delayed by new fire regulations of which our resident-managed freehold company was unaware. Again, this could have been pre-empted.
- Although the phone is answered promptly, messages to call back were often left unanswered. Perhaps they were fed up with me chasing for updates when I felt that the process had stalled, but this is par for the course when moving house, surely?
- I have been pestered to leave a review here again and again since completion. I don't particularly like leaving negative reviews - and I find the expectation to leave a review for everything from financial services to supermarket cashiers to be very irritating - but perhaps this illustrates the fact that they are not quite aware of their clients' frustrations during what is often one of the more stressful tasks undertaken in one's life.
