We felt so convinced initially given how strongly Hussain from Homey pushed KLR solicitors. In the end, we actually had to consult legal advice about how horrendous their behaviour was, and nearly went to the police to file a fraud case. We completed and exchanged and they promised our money by 5pm that day. It never came and there was no explanation. The next day they ignored our calls and still gave no reasonable explanation for no transfer, blaming the bank. They dropped the ball so many times it was eye watering. They openly lied to us and third parties on at least half a dozen occasions throughout the sale, and only when we demanded proof of transfer on day 2, they agreed to send and admitted the money was only sent 15 mins previously. They repeatedly shifted blame, making out that the buyers solicitors were at fault constantly when they hadn't even forwarded us queries 10 days after receipt. In every possible way that they could mess up, they did. And their defensive, evasive and manipulative responses were infuriating. Avoid at all costs!! They lost us hundreds in rent and weeks wasted when our buyer almost lost patience

I started using KLR last year when I started the process to buy my ex partner out of our shared property.

Initially, my experience was good. Gregg was very responsive and professional and we quickly reached an agreement with my ex, allowing us to move on to conveyancing. I decided to stay with KLR due to high level of service received. Big mistake.

The process was plagued with issues from start to finish and Samanthi and her team made multiple mistakes, putting me in potentially vulnerable situations with my ex partner.

For example, we received documentation through the post containing details of other clients. The sum of money I transferred to KLR meant for my ex was partially taken for some unknown reason after a member of the team misread some documentation. This therefore delayed the payment to my ex. These are only a few issues. There were plenty more.

Communication was poor and it took a long time to get responses to my emails. A firm ‘specialising’ in matrimonial, divorce and separation should know to treat their clients considerately and sensitively. The toll this took on my mental health cannot be put into words and I still do not believe that all of the work has been completed as required.
