Snuggly Shepherds Hut in South Wiltshire

The Knuckles paint colour has completely transformed our little shepherd hut. It creates a super snuggly atmosphere, especially paired with the layered fabrics and textures we incorporated throughout the hut. We love how dramatically the shade changes depending on the time of day and which wall you’re looking at — soft and warm in the morning light, then deeper and moodier by evening. It gives the whole hut such an intimate feeling of space. A stunning colour (Potter's Kiln) that perfectly suits Milton Farm Hideaway.

Avoid- Same as the other reviews

Same as the other reviews. Paid for three samples, nothing arrived for ten days, had to complain, then it arrived- no actual paint, just a tiny square of paper that looks totally different to the colours online. Also only two out of three arrived. How can you charge for those little bits of paper and postage that’s literally a second class stamp?! Shameful really. Just avoid them!

Inaccuarte colours

The samples arrived promptly which is a plus point. The Knuckles website does state that the samples would be A6 paper swatches, so I was expecting this.
However, the samples do not match the colours online. I ordered Potters Kiln which on the website is a dusky brown with a hint of pink. The sample which arrived is brown. I also ordered Pinky Primrose which on the website is pink with grey, the sample is just pink. I got the samples with a discount code so, can't really complain too much.

Amazing!!

I found this website while browsing looking for inspo to paint my front door.. I came across this website and I just loved every single colour! I ordered the lilac for my front door on the Thursday and i had messaged them on the Friday on insta asking when it would be dispatched, I told them I wanted to get it before a certain day before my husband came back from working away and they messaged me back saying they just dispatched it next day for me! It’s unbelievable paint and amazing customer service, I would 100% recommend this website for paint! I can’t wait to purchase my next one!

Paid for a sample

Paid for a sample
A small square of card turned up.
A complete rip off and nothing like the advertised colour.
When you pay for a sample and the postage. It usual to actually get some paint to judge the quality.
Bitterly disappointed

Avoid avoid avoid

Avoid avoid avoid. Colour nothing like the images online. Applies nicely I will give it that. I have reapplied multiple times. It took 6 coats to look tidy. After a few months it has peeled off in places. Contacted the company a number of times and no response at all

If I could give

If I could give this company zero I would. It's a total scam. Avoid. I have been waiting 3 weeks for 3 samples to be delivered. I contacted them/ him. 3 times to ask if there was a problem. No response to any emails. I'm writing this to warn others who might go ahead and buy the paint without sampling first because you will probably be let down and out of pocket.

Disappointing customer service

Very disappointing experience with Knuckles. I ordered “Tapestry” and the colour is so incredibly inaccurate to what is on their website. I did all the tricks recommended and even tried it in a different room on the other side of the house. It is like a deep rose colour and completely different undertones than the website. I contacted them asking to return 2/3 cans as they were unopened and it must have been a bad batch because the colour was shocking. Not slightly off, but completely wrong colour. Was really considering they had maybe mixed up the tin names as it was red toned! They didn’t answer for WEEKS. Eventually asking me to try another quote and wait for it to settle and that they won’t be accepting the return. I wrote them back again and have got nothing back. So disappointing. The paint itself is nice and goes on a treat. One coat is almost enough but a second coat does deepen it and make it look more complete. But their customer service and lack of colour accuracy is why I’m here to give a review and hopefully save someone the hassle in the future if they’re thinking of choosing Knuckles.

So disappointed with this company

So disappointed with this company. I chose them for a house reno after seeing their choice of colours online. The whole experience has been a fiasco from start to finish. The paint is meant to be dispatched within 48h - it took 6 days + several delays in delivery. I had to buy paint from a competitor as I’d booked decorators and needed something for them to do. Customer Service responded only once after several days and then stopped responding when I asked for meaningful action and compensation. I was left several hundred pounds out of pocket as the paint cannot be returned and am left with pots of paint I have no use for. In this day and age age, customer service like this is appalling.

Absolutely no regrets!

I took a chance on a paint company I'd never heard of because their website looked amazing. Absolutely no regrets! So, thoroughly pleased with their 'Kern' burnt orange. Totally accurately depicted in their pictures. So many compliments, even by my 91 year old mother who's not impressed by much!

Don’t Judge by Reviews Alone

After reading some of the previous reviews, I was a little hesitant about placing an order. Before going ahead, I reached out to Knuckles Paints via Instagram DMs and had a really helpful interaction. They responded quickly, answered all of my questions and made me feel reassured about placing the order.

We ordered Lemon Glaze for our nursery and couldn’t be happier. The paint was lovely to apply, went on smoothly and the colour is beautiful in person, exactly what we were hoping for our gender-neutral nursery.

Our order arrived without any issues and I wouldn’t hesitate to order again.

Fairly sure it’s a scam

Fairly sure it’s a scam. Photos from site seem to use AI and it claims to be “British made” but they’re apparently based in the US. Lack of reviews/poor reviews is red flag central and the descriptions of each colour are vague once you actually look at them. Best to avoid.

Pretty sure this is a scam company

Pretty sure this is a scam company. I ordered paint from them for my front door but then after ordering did a bit or research and couldn’t find reviews. I found their Instagram which only had around 70 followers, contacted them via this platform and they assured me they were legitimate and the lack of followers was due to being a new company (this was over a year ago and they appear to still be saying this). Anyway, I ordered paint for close to £40, did a swatch on my door and it is terrible quality. Not the colour advertised and did not look to be outdoor paint. A very strange scam as they have an expensive looking website but a scam nonetheless. Avoid.

I would leave no stars if I could

I would leave no stars if I could. Ordered two samples of paints which are charged for. When they arrived, they were swatches of paper. Anyway, they had were the wrong colour swatches. There is no telephone number anywhere to call customer services. I emailed to say please send the correct colour as I had the decorator booked. No reply. I emailed again. no reply. Poor, poor customer service

Was dubious due to this being a fairly new company. Slight hiccup to begin with as received the wrong sized paint tins but I received an immediate response to my message from the customer care team and my correct order was sent out the next day!! It was quick delivery both times, the paint is absolutely beautiful. Easy to use, very pigmented, barely any odour. Its honestly one of the best paints I have seen and used. Super happy. Doing my whole house is Knuckles for sure!!!

If I could give zero stars I would - don't be fooled by the slick website!

If I could give zero stars I would. Allow me to explain...
1 - I ordered paint from their very convincing website that was exactly what I was looking for. It was called catapult and looks black on the site
2 - It took a few days to arrive in attractive tins, but when I painted a sample area, it was brown. Really brown. I put on a couple more coats. Still brown
3 - I looked for a number to return. There is not one anywhere. I emailed and got no response. I messaged through their online messaging. No response. I went into the returns section and it is blank.
4 - There is a part of the returns area that looks like it might take you to another page, but you have to consent to recieve junk emails from them, which I believe to be in violation of GDPR rules
5 - I am now out of pocket by £74 and I dont know that if I return the paint, that this scam company won't refund me and will sell the paint to another unsuspecting victim

I am now looking at Trading Standards and the ICO for the GDPR rule breach.

I ended up going back to Little Greene, got their outdoor black paint the same day and it is amazing - 5 stars to them :)
