I love how easy it is to use! It’s very beginner friendly!
I’m obsessed! Love the shape and it’s very easy to use. Color looks great. No complaints thus far!
Great product by Kobo, I particularly find the Libra Color model easy to handle and doesn't give any major strain to eyes, I limit my night time reading to 1 - 2 hours, still helps me have a restful sleep after reading, I could also set nighttime brightness to very low. The color highlights are a major plus, the buttons are rarely useful when you're handling food or drink but I prefer not read while having food.
My husband asked for this product so I bought it for him as a gift.
works well and i like the auto shutoff when you close the case, also holds the stylus very well without ever falling out.
I was looking forward to receiving my kobo libre colour. But they never dispatched on time, it took over a week to arrive and they never updated the tracking. The kobo libre colour was disappointing. Its very slow and stutters. The import function is lacking in many ways, you can't just plug it in to a computer and add your files. If you use calibre, it's not possible to organise the files you can only convert files. The only way to import is via Google Drive or Box. When you have imported your books or files (one by one), they are all jumbled up and you have to go through each one because the names don't always show the correct titles and then add them to your kobo collections. The only other feature is the Instapaper, where you can send your news posts individually to your kobo to read later. So not much going for this device. It would be better if it had a news feed reader or magazine subscription reader. Or a way to view files or books on the kobo. The only way to view files from the kobo when it's plugged in to a computer is the personal files NOT your books.
I am kind of a major e-bookworm, so I have had e-readers for more than 10 years (pretty much all the major brands over time), but the Kobo Libra Colour is my favourite e-reader so far! It has direct integration with Overdrive which allows me to check out and view my library holds directly. The colour screen is very nice, and the slight greyness (which is standard with all colour e-ink displays) does not bother me. The page-turn buttons are very nice, and the auto rotate feature makes it easy to switch up the orientation of reading. The best feature, in my opinion, is the ability to adjust the natural light automatically and also swipe up or down the left side of the screen to adjust the brightness. Finally, it's super easy to load books purchased in many different formats, as well as PDF documents. If you like flexibility, colour-eink and a great all-around reading experience, I definitely would recommend checking out the Kobo Libra Colour.
I am in love my Kobo Libra Colour!!! Its lightweight, easy to use, comfortable for bed or sitting reading.
This is a fantastic e-reader. I love the clean interface and how well it integrates with Calibre (where I manage all of my books). I saw a lot of complaints about how crisp text was or how dim color e-ink was but its not a factor (at least for me). Those items are generally only an issue if you have two products side by side and can make a direct comparison. The majority of people don't utilize 4 different e-reading devices simultaneously so I don't think those are that big of an issue. My only complaints at the moment are: 1. It would be great if they made the clock available somewhere on the screen while you were reading along with the other data they provide so I knew what time it was (I usually read on my lunch break and its nice to know how much longer I have without getting my phone out). 2. I'd like to see some of the games available on the Kobo Libra Colour (things like solitaire) that are available on some of the other models.
I never received it.
I never received it.
I love it! Very pleased with this purchase!
Perfect size, easy to travel with.
amazing product, does not work well with stylus because of lower refresh rate. you have to wait to see what you wrote making writing unintuitive.
I love this ereader and am so glad I made the transition from kindle
Books and PDFs both look great, everything is easy to navigate, and the page turning buttons are wonderful.
Beautiful e-reader - great design.
I've had it for more than 6 months already and i have doubled the amount of books i read. Its so easy to take anywhere and get new books, now i can read cozy at night without having to turn all the lights on or burning my eyes if reading in my phone screen. Also having the dictionary at your disposal for any word is amazing, specially if you read in other languages. Now i've even started download other documents i need to read in epub and it works perfectly, of even some of my sheet music and annotating it there is very easy.
Really love this device. Thought it would be difficult to transition from paper to eReader but not the case. Way better than trying to read from a laptop or phone, which came as a huge relief. Writing using the stylet is a really good experience with only a little lag. Erasing and highlighting is a bit laggy but I've not had the device that long so might find my use of the device improves. It is a bit on the heavy side for me as I have RSI, but I still find it easier than trying to read from a paper back. On the colour front, yes it is muted, and no I haven't read any graphic novels on it so muted colours are not going to be an issue for me. Being able to highlight and note take in different colours was important to me and those work great, but I wish there were more lighter tones for the highlight pen. I am really happy with my purchase.
