Product is good although not perfect.
Ordering easy but delivery slightly tardy, still ok though.
Having physical page turn buttons is great. I turn mine upside down so buttons on the left for reading in bed.
Colour is hopeless. Washed out and pretty much unreadable. Wish there was a simple BW in 7" without any of the bells and whistles, like the pen.

Purchasing my new Kobo was fast and easy, I had decided that I should get a new one for myself for Mother's Day as my old one is probably 15 years old and was starting to have issues.
I got my new one in about 5 days and got it hooked up pronto! The only problem i had was trying to hook up audio...
When I found out it really isn't audio! You use your cell phone and the Kobo app to listen to audio books! Good thing I like my new Kobo because I thought that was part of the package of it! I haven't tried reading on it outside yet but that was my other reason for upgrading so I can read in the sun! I also enjoy the cover and the part where you can start reading as soon as you open it, no waiting for it to start up like my old one, and of course less charging and charging time. All in all a great purchase!

I LOVE that Kobo lets you borrow books from the library so easily and that the books are not owned by Amazon. My only complaint is that sometimes the page turning is lagging a bit.

I wanted to switch away from amazon so I bought a Kobo Sage. It's a pricey item, but I was prepared to invest in something that would serve me well. Within a month, the screen was damaged despite being in a hard cover, in a bag. I'm 69 and don't lead a violent lifestyle, so I was surprised and disappointed. After much discussion, Kobo agreed to replace the damaged Sage with a refurbished one. Within a month of receiving that, the screen broke again. I have given up. Clearly this gadget is too fragile for my wild lifestyle. I've gone back to real books that don't break when you look at them too hard. Meanwhile, even getting my broken Kobo back to Kobo for recycling or refurbishment (for Kobo to sell again, no doubt), has been complicated and involved much chatting with bots, humans, email exchanges, data verification and on, and on. Tedious.

I wish I could get the less know books on Kobo that I find on Kindle.
But it’s seems to be kindle unlimited only books which sucks but oh well

I adore my new case! It is notched slightly on the side so that the stylus magnetizes and has a little hollow to nest in. It is so cute! I hope Kobo continues to make products like this.

After seeing very little value in belonging to Rakuten Kobo, I cancelled my "subscription" several months ago. This morning, I received an email telling me they had charged me $21 for my annual KOBO VIP Membership. Evidently, whatever subscription I had, and this VIP Membership are two different things. I have spent an hour this morning searching their website, trying to figure out how to cancel this membership to no avail. It appears I should be able to go to my account page to cancel the membership, but there is no option to do so -- only to turn off auto-renewal. Does this mean my membership is cancelled? If I miss a renewal email, will they assume I want to continue and charge me again next year? I really dislike companies that make cancelling a subscription, membership, etc., so difficult for the user. There is nothing on their website offering the option of emailing, chatting with, or contacting them in any way. If their "help" articles don't assist you, then you are on your own. Very disappointing, and I won't use this company again.

The book is excellent. What a shame that it only available in coulor as most books are in black & white.

Rakuten scams cash back on devices even though they purchase is eligible

I'm still waiting for this order to be shipped to me. I've been emailing customer service for the past month going back and forth. Nothing but gaslighting. Kobo customer service is a joke they refuse to actually help and use nothing but buzz words like our internal team are looking into the matter.

After 30 days I still have no clue what's going on with my order. They can't seem to tell me anything about it. Customer service can no help if your order goes missing. Do not buy online from the kobo store it's not worth the risk.

one of my favorite aspects of the Kobo ecosystem is the navigation. I immediately know exactly where I am at on any given page. (for example: page 4 of 24). I just love that feature. none of the others have it.
