I love the authentic taste of all the curry sauces I have tried. I would love to try the lamb madras stew but I do not have a Tefal \turbo cuisine Multi-Cooker, so could you please print a recipe for ordinary saucepan.

Oh I did not enjoy these at all, I can’t even describe the taste - but they were all horrible - and I’m not a fussy eater at all 🫤 everyone I made went in the bin (probably should have tasted the sauces before wasting all that chicken)

These sauces are such good value and really tasty. Just about to do my third order. They arrive so quickly too. Definitely worth it! I’m a pensioner and the prices are affordable unlike many others on the market

Tried the Kohinoor Tikka Massala sachet bought from Morrisons. I cant say that it tasted awful, but it didn't taste like a Tikka Masala. Way too fragrant for me. It tasted like someone had literally dropped some perfume in it. Very odd and spoiled the dish for me. Some people would like it Im sure, but don't buy this expecting a Tikka Masala! Kohinoor should review the name of this supermarket curry cook in sauce!

I've used the Koh-I-Noor in Glasgow for about thirty years and have loved the food there, which I would describe as Punjabi. Rich sauces and the meats used are generally tender. The lamb was always a favourite and notably very tender where other Indian restaurants in Glasgow had generally served quite chewy mutton and called it lamb. The pakora is great and their nan breads excellent and cooked in a traditional oven judging by the taste and texture.

However, even though I do like this restaurant, two things have been a disappointment over the years and they've lost two stars on a possible 5 star rating as a result:

The staff, whilst friendly enough people, tend to be a bit hard sell on food a drinks. Once you've given the order they have the annoying habit of trying to convince you to add pakora, nan, drinks or other sundries, regardless of what you order, as if you'd forgotten to include them and need reminding. They can come across a bit like double glazing or used car salesmen. And when this happens every time you go to a restaurant or order a take away, it tends to become a bit annoying. They could do with laying off the suggestions unless specifically asked to do so, and just respect the customer's order as it's given.

The take away food is, in my opinion, over-priced. When compared to other restaurants of equivalent quality in the city, prices are over the odds for main dishes and sundries. The evening buffets are £13.95 or £14.95 on Fridays and Saturdays, with the price of drinks on top of that. That's reasonable, particularly if you have a big appetite. But paying about the same for a main meal (curries tend to be simply meat in a sauce with very few, if any, vegetables) plus rice in a plastic bag(!) On a take out order this is just too much. They could do with reducing their take away prices by 20% to bring them in line with market prices.
