Honestly it’s been really wonderful for me over the years. Not sure I’ve ever been happier with a bank. Only thing I wish for is cheque deposit. But I know it’ll come one day.

Koho is a great option for credit building and managing spending. The application is convenient and provides a virtual credit card for online use to keep your account safe

This has got to be one of the best credit unions. I have saved so much money. Excellent cash back, round ups on spending, LOC and overdraft ( although I wish the fee was so high for overdraft)

Dear koho Customer Support,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the way my account access issue has been handled.
I opened my koho oho account in April. Since opening the account, I have never received a debit card. Recently, I lost my cellphone and no longer have access to the phone number associated with my account. While I understand the importance of security, I do not understand why there appears to be no reasonable alternative method to verify my identity and regain access to my own funds.
Over the past several days, I have sent nearly 100 emails and have spoken with numerous support agents. Each time I receive a different response, yet no one has actually resolved my issue.
I have provided everything that was requested, including:
- My passport and government-issued identification.
- A second form of identification.
- A photo of myself holding my identification.
- My marriage certificate.
- Details of my recent account transactions.
- Access to a friend's phone number so verification codes could be received.
Despite providing all of this information, I continue to be denied access to my account.
Today is Thursday, June 25, and I informed your team that I was expecting a deposit of approximately CAD $860 into my account. Even with this knowledge, my issue remains unresolved. I believe it is unacceptable for a financial institution to withhold a customer's access to their own money after their identity has been verified through multiple documents.
Traditional Canadian banks such as TD and BMO have alternative methods of verifying customers who lose access to their phones. They use personal information, security questions, identification, and other verification procedures. Coho should have similar policies in place to assist customers in situations like mine.
What concerns me even more is that koho does not provide a customer service telephone number. The only method of communication is through email, making it incredibly frustrating when urgent banking issues arise.
As a customer, I expected better service and better support. Instead, I have experienced delays, inconsistent communication, and unnecessary stress. Once I regain access to my account, I intend to transfer my funds to my TD Bank account, where I have confidence that customer service and account security are handled more effectively.
I request that this matter be escalated immediately to a supervisor or manager who has the authority to resolve my account access without further delay.
I expect a prompt response and a resolution as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Ann Ntiamoah
As it's Monday 5 days and still no response from this team I hear about.i gave everything and I think after 300 emails and me as a customer begging for my money was something no customer should have to do .I again am asking for access to my money as this is not acceptable anymore.

I made the switch to Koho a few years ago when I was living overseas. The no foreign exchange option with the everything plan saved me a ton of cash and still allowed me to earn cash back on foreign purchases and interest on my balance. The only issue I've ever had with Koho is that if you dispute a transaction, they don't give you the cash back until it's settled. Other than that, it's been excellent. Great value, convenience and basically every feature of traditional banking with more perks.

I got scammed by a company that has an unconditional return policy which they did not honor.Koho Mastercard supposedly investigated for 6 months then declined reversing the charge. Absolute shit slow non existent service. Avoid this company. And i did all the things they said in their response to this, and was ignored then declined. Koho is garbage

I’ve been using KOHO for a while now, and it has genuinely changed how I manage my day-to-day finances. As someone who is AuDHD, traditional banking often feel overwhelming or abstract, but KOHO’s layout makes everything incredibly tangible.
My absolute favourite part of the platform is how much it helps with credit building. Between their dedicated credit building tool and the rent reporting feature, it has been incredibly empowering to see my score get a boost just from making my regular payments. I also love the higher interest rates on savings and the consistent cash back I earn on groceries. The instant notifications are a lifesaver; being able to see exactly what I spend and track my balance in real-time keeps me grounded. It makes reaching small savings goals feel entirely doable rather than stressful.
If I could suggest one area for improvement to make customer satisfaction even higher, it would be to introduce some finance gamification. Adding fun milestones, badges, or visual challenges for hitting savings goals would make managing money feel less like a chore and more like a game.
Overall, I highly recommend to anyone who needs a clearer, more interactive way to see their money.

Extremely long process to just open an account, if you're a new startup. Digital banks are supposed to make this quicker! Concerning there is no swift support if fraud or similar occurs. Feels like a digital company in the dark ages..
Expecting the usual cut and paste reply to this by Koho.
