It’s faster to walk

It’s faster to walk. There is so much construction in Köln that the buses are too slow and are always taking detours. The app is very poorly made and has a poor UI.

Never works, it is dissapointing

In a developed technological country like Germany it is obviously difficult for the public transportation company of one of the biggest cities to offer an app that actually works. The connection in my area is bad, in the weekends and although I live in the city, the connection gets worse, and the app is never updated. I have to go to the train station (10 min from home) every time and then look for another option to go to my destination. Furthermore, every time i am using it, the time that is automatically set is in the past. Dissapointing, the least I can say.

Terrible

Terrible. You'll be late all the time everywhere. Nothing comes on time and you experience cancellations all the time. If your travel is important for you, never choose kvb.

The KVB is one of the main reasons for air pollution. If you made enough bad experience with trains coming late (the timetable is merely a pretty list) or not at all and you end up being stressed and almost an hour later than expected and you’re paying more than you’d usually pay for gas, you will quickly go back to taking the car. On a daily basis and having experienced this 8/10 times i take the train and pay a massive amount to commute between Cologne and Bergisch Gladbach, it’s just not worth it.

Despair

As someone who commutes to Cologne on daily basis, this company has almost achieved the level of being my personal enemy.

Most of the workers I've had the pleasure to talk to are fairly accommodating. This especially goes for the bus drivers that take you to the main station, if you ride the 132 and 133. They'll even let you out early, because you'll miss your connection otherwise. Though this only happens the FEW times.

But beyond that, I haven't had any positive experiences with them. A lot of the times the subways will be late, for no apparent reasons. Sometimes they just won't come at all and you don't get to make a peep, because you can be sure as hell that nothing will happen. Though this also applies to the buses.

I have yet to try out the bike lending service they have, because the large stickers on the bikes and the lack of opportunity have yet to subside.

I just wish they would be more reliable. When it says the train will come, then it should come. It's not a difficult concept, isn't it? And it's what the KVB is supposed to do too. It just doesn't work. Please, make it work. A million people depend on you every day, if not more!
